- Some logs from our forest will be turned into timber using my new, self made Alaska style Chain-Saw-Mill. The first one is guided by a lather. Later, the thickness of the timber can be chosen. I think, this video is self explaining, no need for more words.

Everything you post is worth watching: you're a wood-content Olympian!
That last log looked like hard work! We had a couple of trees near me blown down at the weekend, so I might have to give this a try. I only have a small chainsaw however, so it might have to be a day's worth of manual sawing instead!
Nice work, I'll have to try that myself one day
Excellent!
Where can we fid plans to build?
For the first cut, I don´t get how do you cut through the holding screws.
I choose them just short enough.
Wow that is absolutely amazing. How much wood did you wind up cutting in total with that setup? And how many gallons of gas, bar oil, and chains did you go through?
I do not really know. Some cubics i guess. Should be enough for a kitchen. These days i am preparing big timber for framing. I specially like, that i do not need to move the trunks, but can cut them where they are, and then i just move the ready and lighter timber. For the fuel and oil i do not know. The chain is still the same. I ti s a special one for length cut.
What make model and length saw is that?
There is a 50cm blade. Check my other video about this sawmill, there i showed how it is made, you might find the answers to your questions.
