How to paint a grassy texture in oil

I paint with watercolors, and I tend to splatter and stipple to achieve more depth in my grassy landscapes.

nice job...i think i like solvent plus linseed oil in various ratios better than liquin....liquin is kinda sticky, i think the brushes are easier to leave overnight in without liquin... and linseed seems to have the brush flow nicer...i m not in big hurry for dry times...
