Melissa & Jeremy , It is an absolute pleasure to watch you both , sincerely. From the first video I watched on your main channel I saw in you both the respect , unconditional love and commitment. This video was truly encouraging and full of real life advise. Jeremy , never apologize for being emotional❤a man who shows emotion is a real true human being🎉my dad was a manly man and not at all embarrassed or shamed for crying or being emotional. That is one of thing I admired about him very much❤what a gift to you both of how much you inspire others by just sharing your life’s journey , advise and adventure,God Bless ❤

I truly enjoyed this session. I have been a widow 12 years last month. And we had a relationship much like yours, and we were married 30 years when he passed and you made me revisit our pros and cons and how we made it work. Thank you! Keep up the good work. ❤ and you’re right, you have to be friends, best friends. It’s what holds you together during the rough times. It is more than obvious how much you love each other, and what it means to both of you to be successful at your relationship.

A strong, protective and equally loving and caring man is a force of nature this world needs more of ❤ when women feel safe, they can settle into that gentle, nurturing role for their men and children. Some may view that as a lesser role, but for me it feels like freedom. Pray God continues to bless your family and marriage

Jesus that’s sad. And it’s cu you’re from a generation where men were suppressed from feeling. They were taught to run from relational conflict. Bless Jeremy’s heart. My husband is samoan and he treats me with so much love and kindness like Jeremy. Each other, our kids and building a family legacy. During her struggles with health and battling to win, we were always pretty close emotionally - but during those last few months we had very tender moments like you guys shared. My wife likes to say she loves our animals just as much as their kids and I tell her put herself in the predicament. You're holding your child and your animal over a ledge because they both fell at the same time. But you're going to need one of those hands to lift yourself up. Who are you going to let go of? It's always going to be the patent 100% of the time so the love isn't the same because you wouldn't be able to answer if that makes sense. Great video guys! Have a great day!

We are coming up for our 40th wedding anniversary and I cannot believe that each year our love for each other is deeper. He definitely is my best friend, protector, lover and amazing father to our children and wise, loving Pop to our grandchildren. We still don't have much materially but we have everything we need. Don't ever apologise for being emotional. My husband did exactly the same at our family party when we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and it was the most heart warming and beautiful thing to see. He was just like you, Jeremy and physically could not get his words out because he was on the edge of bursting into tears. He has always told me that he loves and adores me, that he can't live without me, but to see that raw emotion was just a whole new experience. I think he even surprised himself at the depth of emotion he was feeling. Huge congratulations to you both on your anniversary.

Well, I have to say, that as much as I’ve enjoyed these podcasts, this one has been exceptional. Most couples seem uneasy about putting themselves out there for the world to see, being totally honest, in a respectful way, and this has been one of the most enjoyable times I’ve spent watching you! And I found myself re-thinking some of my ideas about marriage. After being married for 31 years, I found myself a divorced mother…both daughters were adults already but they were still affected by it. And some of the points you made had me thinking of our actions during the marriage. I hate divorce but with the reasons for my divorce, I don’t see any other outcome being possible. But I think your conversation would have me thinking about my actions if I became serious about another man. I wish you a most joyous anniversary and wish you many more years of happiness together. Hugs from Texas!

Great podcast! Thanks for your honesty and for showing the unconditional love you have for each other. I never found my soulmate, but not because I wasn’t looking or didn’t try! Nor am I so into myself, as you suggest those who don’t marry are! Sometimes God has other plans and maybe marriage and having kids isn’t part of it. I certainly wanted to have a spouse and children to go through life with. I’m 69, and while my journey has been different than yours, I don’t believe it has been any less fulfilling.

I love how honest you are about divorce. Our society tries to act like it's no big deal because it is so common - but it is devastating to the children. Studies over the last 50 years have shown that the negative impact lasts their entire life. Adult children of divorce have significantly more problems in life than children from non-broken homes.

On the topic of divorce, I’m on my second marriage - very happy for over 20+ years and while it did impact my older two children it also served to show them what a healthy marriage can be (first marriage was completely toxic and now we are both remarried happily) . So while the divorce was difficult, had we stayed together the view on what marriage was would have been toxic and damaging. Now they see you can be in a solid marriage… with the right person for you… mistakes happen and sometimes a marriage IS a mistake.

I felt the exact same way Melissa states when my kids were younger. I could NOT imagine feeling stronger love for my g-kids, until they arrived. Jeremy is correct - it is a whole other level of love. It does not take away from your children, but my grandson's can make me cry with joy in a heartbeat. Maybe because as a G-ma, the pressure of being a parent is gone and now it is just the joy of relaxing and experiencing my g-children. I still love my children deeply and like Melissa will always love them no matter what, but the love of an adult child is really different than the love of a small child. I do love how mature both of you are in discussing topic's, very respectful and yet very independent in what you believe.

Just saw this. Amen brother! As a retired LEO from a large Midwest agency I completely understand and empathize. I retired as a sergeant and I can reiterate that the stress in police work is a result of police administration. Everything you say is absolutely the truth.

Wow! This was very powerful! Thank you two for being so open and unashamed about your marriage, and love for one another. It's easy to see for me now as well, having been married to a man for nearly 15 years before he passed that God's love is SO much more powerful for each of us and it just still blows my mind! How blessed are you both to have each other. I shed a few tears just hearing Jeremy's love for you, Melissa, in his voice. Just beautiful! And I wish you both many, many, many more blessed years together! ❤

Happy Anniversary! Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable. This videos would be great to share to those couples preparing for marriage. My husband and I have been tested by fire from the beginning. In October we will be celebrating 24 years since we met and 22 years anniversary. Love is a choice you make every day to put your beloved first. You help and serve one another. There are highs and lows. The love grows as your family grows (if God chooses it). Many blessings to you both and was honored to listen to your consersation today.

So good...talking about how much the children are to us--I had one as a single parent, and he passed at age 40 after being in prison (20 in Virginia, 5 in Oregon) for 25 years--had melanoma, died in prison one month before his out date. And allowing one to grieve, talk about crying! Giving us the permission to grieve, and know that a part of that never goes away, others will never understand. I appreciate your attitude toward your marriage, and what you have become. I only wished that I could have had that, too. Blessings, for the journey, along with that "attitude of gratitude", and the ability to live in harmony, and share that kind of love with others! Thanks for being real!

Hi Jeremy and Melissa. As a man of my fifties, I have learned the hard way about emotional development. I used to avoid crying and saw it as weakness. I eventually, had to seek therapy and resolve many of my childhood trauma. Living life in orphanage, abusive adoptive parents were some of my challenges. I have since discovered the power of vulnerability. It means you are a real man to show your feelings. Cry it thru the rooftops about how great your wife is. It will only improve your relationship. Good job man to both of you! Keep it up.

OMG! Oh, how I loved this podcast! They just keep getting better and better. This was raw. It was about truth, about emotions, about healing, but most of all it was about love. Both of you are helping people to heal. First you started out just by sharing your family and your day to day activities. So many people wished they had come from a family like yours, and instead they came from a family that was broken in so many ways. But, watching your regular you tube channel that you originally started, you began healing others without even the intention of doing so. Then you came up with this new idea of a podcast and are showing what it means to be authentic human beings. This one is providing even more healing for the collective! I don't think you two realize how much healing you are bringing about in this broken world.
You know what you are doing? You are co-creating with God by doing this new podcast format. I, for one am very grateful to be someone who has the privilege of watching this. I cried with Jeremy, and God knows I needed that. Thank you for helping heal our broken world! I absolutely love you two!

As I am watching this, the one thing that I think we can all see in both of you is that you are both moldable. And I think that is one of the greatest things you can come to the marriage with. And I do not think that comes on the wedding day but it comes over time or as Scripture describes ith - "iron sharpens iron". My wife, Goldie, and I started off very rough and I would argue that it was mostly me, I was NOT moldable. With God's Help, though, I grew into the husband and father I am today being able and willing to change my ways to honor God and please my wife. I would completely agree that children not only make you see how God loves you but humbles you in how He loves you. I look at how I love our son and daughter, I agree, Melissa, that I could not allow myself to stop loving them no matter what they do. When I think of God loving me in this same way, it brings me to tears as I know I mess up so often.

Happy anniversary u 2. Jeremy made me cry watching him appreciate you melissa. He's so sweet and handsome...a keeper for sure. You 2 are so cute together. I wish I could have had half of what you guys do. I wasted 36 years of my life with the wrong man. To my shocking surprise he led a double life...I didn't even realize it until the last year and a half. You 2 have something great! Most people don't have what you do...be proud and thankful you have eachother and your beautiful children. I hope I get a second chance at love even tho I'm 62. I want a love like you 2 have.
