@@WaluigiLebron definitely another great one. It's all perspective. I'm biased. Matzek came on with a 4-2 lead and runners on 2nd and 3rd and nobody out. He struck out Pujols, Souza, Betts, and Seager. then got Turner and Smith on weak grounders to Riley. He was almost as good in relief as Rosario was at the plate. He was flawless in games 1 and 2 as well while the Braves pulled off back to back walk off wins.

Oh make no mistake.....Rosario may have won NLCS MVP but without this pitchin performance from Matzek im not certain we make it to the world series.....if the Dodgers scored and took the lead there the doubt of lettin it slip away last year would start to creep in.......theres a HUGE difference between good players, good teams, and then theres teams and players that know how to show up big time in the playoffs.....certain teams know how to close a team out and break their will......Matzek completely annihilated any chance of a Dodger comeback.......i mean this guy just threw straight gas and dared em to hit it.....havin guys like him and Charlie Morton gave us a different spirit and approach in the playoffs this year.....i mean for gods sakes Morton kept pitchin on a broken leg and refused to quit until his leg finally gave out......one of the other players said in an interview later that they think Charlie knew his leg was broke.....the players said Charlie went back out that next inning to pitch and give Minter time to warm up......Morton pitches like theres no tomorrow come playoff time.....he once said he succeeds in big moments because his biggest fear is lettin his teammates down

Rosario was the series MVP of course but that may have been just the most defining moment of the season for the team. Absolutely electric. And all from a guy who two years ago couldn't find the strike zone because of the yips. What an excellent story and what a great role model for people who struggle with anxiety to look up to. The sound you heard after he struck out bets was his massive balls clangin' as he hauled them back to the dugout. The announcers were pretty homer for the Dodgers that series but they had a great line at the end of this. "Tyler Matzek. From electrician to legend!"
