I am currently stuck at 1400 elo rating in chess and have no clue how to progress. I am rated 2500 in puzzles but fail to see tactics when under a lot of time pressure and when weird and weak moves, by my opponent, is played. I get tilted when people desperately go into worthless lines and that I know are worthless and along the way making some slight inaccuracies and I fail to take advantage of them. I have very good intuition and understanding of positions but something mentally is holding me back I believe. Because I feel like I am so much better than my opponents in 1400 elo but I lack some serious fundamental understanding of chess most likely which restrains me from progressing.

Poor Nepo: The guy is so likeable, but the WC titles keep slipping from his grasp.
An amazing job from Hikaru! I knew he could do it! It was a well deserved victory!
I'm still not happy Magnus lost it, but Hikaru and Nepo deserved to win more and Magnus just didn't play well enough. I think Chess960 just isn't his game.

@C literally no one said it wasnt. he's just saying its unfortunate that nepo lost

Yeah, memorizing many deep engine lines is what Magnus is the best at. Not 960 where he loses badly to Nepo 1-3. Definitely not his chess game 🤓

Magnus is called the best of all time but I bet when he play FischerRandom against Bobby Fischer, he will struggle and lose badly. Because *no more deep engine lines* only *pure talent and skill* in 960 chess

@@iguoyrxayananikihs9505 Nice try, but that's an invalid argument. Magnus plays troll openings that aren't book for fun against serious opponents and still wins. Try again.

Just IMO, the top chess players are almost all uniformly nice people and of good character. Men and Women.

I hope this becomes a yearly thing now, or at least every two years. Covid was the reason they were on a three year hiatus.
