They are not kpop. They were brought up through the kpop system but many Koreans don't like cuz they want to gatekeep kpop and since XG is japanese......... .. you know the deal.
I don't know about the kpop system thing since most of the group if not all were trained by Avex before and during the first part of the XGALX project and I wouldn't say Avex artists are trained by the kpop system 🤷🏻♂️ We know that Jurin met Juria 9 years ago, Harvey around 8, Chisa and Cocona around 6-7 years ago, and they've been in Korea for how long? 2 maybe 3 years?🤔
more like they got the korean production value, but the girls are definitely trained and learned under AAA. also music produced through avex music connections, at least for mascara and tippy toes, i think. i do hope they stick with avex for music production for the next release(s) tho. also, it's kinda funny to see knetz in particular get scratch their heads on whether they wanna claim them as kpop bc they got mad talent, or to deny them bc they're japanese lmao
