MJ, Prince, Rolling Stones, Whitney Houston, David Bowie, ELO, Dire Straits, Sade, U2, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Wham, Hot Choclate, George Benson, Human League, Van Morrison.Simple Minds, and I can go on. But at the same time, the J-Pop industry is very large, the second largest after U.S./Western Pop. Of course, XG will be more popular among the Japanese not just because they're from Japan, but because the Japanese (Pop) fanbase is a lot larger than the Korean fanbase, J-Pop or K-Pop, meaning the Japanese fanbase will invest so much on their favorite artists, XG included. At the same time, competition in J-Pop is massive too, so XG decided to aim the global fanbase first, starting with basing themselves in SK, before they target their home country. I think it worked really well for XG that they are on this very high level now.
