Speaking of Harvey and her switching up the flow/vibe, I thought I would share something I saw from a Japanese fan abt the order the girls went in for this cypher:
There is a Japanese word "起承転結"，the
structures of traditional Japanese narratives.
起 introduction
承 development
転 twist
結 conclusion
this cypher kinda follows that rule
Once I saw this, Harvey’s placement in the video made so much more sense to me

Unfortunately, 起承转合 is a Chinese phrase, dude. BTW, Harvey is a mixed girl with Japanese and Australian blood. That makes her English so good. With her cute looking and bubbles vocals, many people love her.

Cocona just turned 17, Maya is also 17 . Her and Cocona grew up together. Friends at a young age. Harvey's 19. Jurin is either 20, or turned 21 last month.

All four can sing but the other three are powerhouse vocalists. And all seven of them have incredible stage presence and can dance their asses off, though I think Jurin (the leader) is insanely ridiculous in those aspects. They’re all super impressive, tbh. Hard to have just a single bias.
Yeah, I know they’re all crazy it’s just funny to see them assume only one is able to sing 🤣. They were corrected when I showed them Shooting Star and Left Right.

It was Cocona who took my breath away. But as I keep on listening to it, I realised it was Maya who went hard.
They rap in 3 languages: English, Japanese, and Korean. The switch between all 3 is so seamless and impressive. They are all Japanese but Harvey is mixed. I highly recommend watching XG TAPE #1 - CHILL BILL. It’s just Jurin and Harvey but it’s honestly so good. Harvey’s flow is different in it. It shows her better. It’s worth a listen. ❤

No Asian cadence! That's what surprised me and it's what I've been waiting for for over 35 yrs. Kpop betrayed me when they went boy bands that...bless their hearts...butcher a beat. Not only that, the tone and cadence *cringe* ugh makes my spine wanna jump out of my body. Did I mention I'm Korean? Yeah...these four ladies...finally! Flowing from one language to another without losing those east coast cadences! Talent, gifted and skilled. I know of only four rappers that can do this and they're all on this Xypher.

They all were trained by Japanese agency Avex in Japan since like the youngest at 5th or 6th grader under the 5 year project. It's more like they moved to Korea the company established for localization about a year before their debut. They did that to promote from Korea globally. The producer is a Japanese (half Korean) and were a Avex trainee himself and graduated from Japanese university (of Music).

Speaking on only COCONA on this XYPHER. Her age not being a factor. COCONA has an automatic hit voice. If she had not came up with XGALX Simon would have found this child, and I stress child, an outlet to express and hatch her GAME OF THRONES talent.
Being 15 in this video makes her undeniable. COCONA was the very first if not, only girl still in elementary when the camp started. Simon even acknowledged this in EXTRA EXTRA documentary. RESPECT.

Actually just want to correct that XG did not train under a Korea label, they are trained under Avex, the rumour they trained with YG, or collaborated with YG has been denied by both parties and clarified. And you can actually see from their style is very Jpop, J-hiphop.
