Something that's rarely talked about is Angelina's brilliant mind,she speaks at least 3 languages,plays several musical instruments,has written a book at 9,writes and composes original music,paints and designs clothing.She sings covers often whilst glancing at the lyrics and not missing a beat.She reinterprets popular classics at will.She is also socially aware of suffering and takes charitable actions to help out.A very aware young lady that I have no doubt will impact many more lives in the years and decades to come.
I recently read in a comment that she skipped a couple of years at school. She is a smart young lady.
I also observe that she has immense sensitivity. You can hear it when she sings, but it shows in her behavior, her attitude, always simple and benevolent. She has very little ego in a world that has too much. That is why she is so sensitive to others.
What I will find extraordinary is that in the future she remains modest, and donates the fortune she earns for the children of the world who are in trouble. It would be a great lesson for all wealthy people and for all of us.
I agree, it is never mentioned. Taking the facts together, her language ability at young age, and her singing, it becomes obvious that she is an outlier also for very high intelligence. Her IQ will be above 150, and she would be good at anything.
The versatility of her skills, talents, multi-faceted intelligence, etc., definitely qualifies her for what is termed "the Renaissance person," like DaVinci, Isaac Newton, Mozart, Beethoven, etc. She is phenomenal!

Thank you for another excellent reaction to Angelina. The naysayers are trolls. If you don't feed them, they will go away. I have read the 100+ comments and totally agree with them.
In my opinion, it was at the age of ten that Angelina shed all the "childishness" from her voice. From that age on she had the inalienable right to be considered as a professional singer and "stand tall" with all the others. That other popular singers are better known and have been singing for many years longer is absolutely immaterial. Angelina has already reached a level of singing above most of them and I write "most" only because I don't know all of them.
Regarding your comment: show me someone else at this age that can do this... I can’t think of anyone and, moreover, while she just killed this song in her own style, she also kills many other songs in totally different styles. She is a singer. Her voice is her tool, and she has mastered the craft of singing. To have the versatility to stun an audience with a classic blues performance of I Put a Spell on You, or her rich base register in many acoustic performances, or the jazz-inspired original arrangements like Bohemian Rhapsody, or the incredible soul she displays in covering a James Brown classic--and I could go on and on.
My only quibble with your observation is that you ask if anyone her age could do this. I feel that her age is irrelevant in any comparison. Show me any singer who has the voice to literally stun listeners in so many styles. I don’t know of any. And to add a cherry on top-she is the best interpreter of lyrics I can think of. She is completely connected with the lyrics of anything she sings. Now, just entering her teens, she is the best female singer I know.
Angelina is 10.5 years old here, and this is one of my very favorite performances. That crescendo at the end is one of the best things I have ever heard her do. Perfect pitch, perfectly smooth, effortless progression, incredible breathe control, and the final belt was absolute perfection; she held it for what seemed like an eternity, yet it felt like she could have gone longer had she wanted to. The audience was mesmerized. And so was I. Great reaction, GreyWolf! 😊💕
Angelina has said that when she sings she goes into another world in her head. She described it as a beautiful, endless world. When Angelina closes her eyes it always gets a little extra special. And if she closes her eyes and puts her hand to her chest.... that's when she's really going inside the song. You are also right about the effortlessness that she sings with. She never looks like she's even trying. It's just so natural for her and I think that is one of the things that draws people to her. It's not an "act". It's just a girl that loves music expressing herself.
I heard that Lou Armstrong used to nip out the back during breaks to smoke a joint. One night he was sharing a joint with another musician who asked him how he was able to come up with such amazing solos. Lou said that he just played along with a band that was playing in his head. The other musician asked if he could play with them too.

Is a vocalist a musician myself for 52 years I have had a lot of female vocalist in my groups none of them could do what Angelina is doing here add I guess 10 years old in my opinion what Angelina is doing is very close on the edge of impossible it's about like the chances of you getting hit by lightning

Here, it is almost impossible to realize that Angelina is only 10 years old. She has such a command of her singing voice at such a tender young age. She is the NEW voice of our future. I find your form of reaction to be perfection itself. Your little utterances throughout are visibly heartfelt and seem to match mine constantly. I find that your pauses are very timely and well spoken. As icing on the cake, I think your volume of speech, being soft and low, makes one pay more close attention to your analysis. So I say, pay less attention to those critics as they are blabbering.
I noticed it too, that after she finished singing, especially when she was 7, 9, as if she came out of channeling the song, and back to her little girl self

I guess everyone has to find his own access door to her world. Myself I like to imagine floating somewhere nice and wrapping her voice like a warm smooth magic blanket around me.
About improvising: We do have a direct comparison for her third performance on AGT. The show performance contains details that were not present in the reharsal. I guess we could argue that means she's not dependend on training and memorizing every performance down to the last detail. If she's feeling comfortable she improvises and takes it even further. Another reactor expressed the same feeling from "I put a spell on you". "Feeling good" is a song thats part of her song list for some time. I guess that invites for spontanity even more. She's done different variations of "Shield", too. That's unheard for many other artists. Once its recorded, the arangement is frozen. Not for her.

I have seen all her performances and although I like some more than others, she is just phenomenal. No one, and I mean NO ONE, emotes like her. I don't listen to Angelina... I feel Angelina..

Great reaction! I always enjoy your perspective! I remember your first time discovering Angelina! Your amazement was spot on. I'm not sure why anyone has to bash any other singer. We all have our own tastes. There is no competition for best singer in the world. There are singers that we enjoy and give us the "feels". Angelina does that for me. Some of the other good/great singers don't do that for me. I don't listen to them. There's enough music for all of us. ENJOY!!

When I watch the look on Angelina’s face when she is channeling the music, especially when she is about to go high, I get the feeling that she has the capability to visualize and anticipate the notes and sounds before she sings them. She may even see music in colors.

Theres not anything normal about this girl...just outstanding, pure musical enigma!! But, I figured it out, uh huh.... She's from outer space, came to earth in a spaceship. She started singing at 1 and a half. Her words. In shock at her old soul at such a young age.. when she's just messing around she's like a kid, some mistakes etc...when it's showtime , she's a serious, spot on powerhouse performer. ....I've been enjoying your reactions of many, but specially of this "Magical Being"......Believe me, you have not lost your perspective at all. It is impossible not to connect with such emotions as delivered by this "Magical Being". I have heard so many of the songs she covers by so many other artists, including the originals and amateurs alike, but never I have felt, to the core, what her expression in voice, makes me feel. It is almost silly that a 61 years old man can finally hear and feel, music as it was intended to be expressed and therefore received by it's audience. I forever be grateful to my 13 years old granddaughter for introducing me to Angelina.....It is absolutely out of this world. At times I think that "Reactors", specially those whom are in the music business (singers, songwriters, etc), feel they have to criticize along their technical knowledge (as they know it), and miss the whole purpose of music and it's true expression, and that to me is: 'Being real'....Being who you are when express yourself in voice. Most of them are so preoccupied with showing their technical knowledge, that they miss the wonderful 'Ride' Angelina takes you............ By the way, I don't know if anyone noticed a very significant detail in this live performance:....She is singing a top of a platform, in the middle of the venue, surrounded by cheering audience, and......there are no "Monitor Speakers" for her to follow or fall back on.....This tells me immediately, the musicians are at her command. They follow her lead..... Next time you see a famous performer sing live, watch if and how far from the main stage are they be willing to go without Monitors given them clues as to where they are in the song......NONE! .....This girl has total control of her born gifts.....And total control of us all whom follow her in mutual connection and pure love of music..........

Your reactions are always spot on. Your critics are those that have no real basis for their comments. Bottom line on Angelina is that she really is a prodigy! She doesn't have to practice endless hours, her breath and timing, and the way she can back into a pitch are God given. One cannot be taught to do some of the things Angelina can do without effort. She is phenomenal!! Can't wait until she graduates from high school so she can really record and tour the world. She will have so much music within her suitcase, she can keep us enthralled for years! Grace VanderWaal, another prodigy, graduated at 15 and is going strong. I would love to see the two of them collaborate on some music.
I’ve noticed the eye movement on a number of occasions. Sometimes they are very rapid. This is not normal and if you try to duplicate it, you can not do it. She is obviously not following movements but is somewhere within herself she at that instant is not connected to her surroundings. I doubt she even knows it is happening. Here you see it just before she starts the ending. As I have stated in other instances. I no longer doubt she has gone to another world. Angelina is without a doubt the greatest ever at emoting emotions that grab the listeners. It is as if you are living the emotions.
No one can have too much of this wonderful singer! She got me through 2020 watching her progress from age 6 in the studio through her most recent now. I listen to reactors over and over. I love your reactions!

Absolutely a great reaction. She is truly magical. You are spot on about her reaction as she comes to the end of this song. She goes high, gives a small example of her inner Janis Joplin and finishes up with that angelic smile like it was nothing special. She has no fear, enjoys those moments she is on stage, and remains humble in the face of that massive audience reaction. I am always amazed by her versatility and have given up on putting the modifier about her age when talking about a performance. She incredible full stoop!
You make a good point: "the age modifier" often is not necessary, but somethings is applicable in comparisons. The Angelina biography grows daily.
@@genevapriest6190 I have heard one reactor say that for her Angelina is the best female vocalist ,on the planet today, irrespective of age. IMO and with no disrespect for singers like Adele and Lana del Day, Angelinas voice adds a whole new dimension to any song she sings. Her voice has a unique and magical quality that no other vocalist can match.

She said herself that singing is as easy as breathing for her. When she closes her eyes while singing thats when magic happens. We have seen it again and again when she delivers her most wonderful singing. And suddenly she's be back in eye contact to the audience again. Nothing wrong about that.

Of the hundreds of performances by Angelina that I have seen, I have only seen 3 or 4 that I didn't like. They were either very young (6) or when she was playing guitar when she was just learning. Other than that, I like everything she's done, most are extraordinary & 20-30 performances are vocal masterpieces that will go down in musical history & this is one of the those. Great reaction & I agree with everything you said. Keep them coming.
You are very objective and I agree with you. Nobody can "hit the ball out of the park 100% of the time". I didn't think that her version of "I Have Nothing" was great, but I fully recognize and appreciate that she is still exploring her voice with all different genres and singing difficult songs. I thought she might have been straining to hit some of the higher notes in that specific song. She wants to extend herself out of her comfort zone to be the best singer she can possibly be, extraordinary as she is now. She said herself that she is trying to extend her range.
@@bbwng54 I agree with you on I Have Nothing, I love it, but it's not in my top 20. A few voice coaches, whose opinion I respect, have said she is really pushing it to the limit with some of the high notes toward the end. Of course it was done a year ago & her voice has progressed so it may not be true today.

This concert was in Halden (Norway) - close to the border with Sweden. They call it "Allsang på grensen" - which in english should mean something like "Sing along at the border". I believe it is broadcasted in both Norway and Sweden. I can tell you that it is not strange at all that Angelina can give a finale like that because she has very strong lungs. When she takes a deep breath it creates an enormous low pressure across the North Atlantic. So now you know that when a low pressure sweeps across Great Britain it is just Angelina who is breathing. You see - I know about that kind of stuff......

You are right for his eyes. It is the fleeting expression that she has when she immerses herself in music. I even think that she almost has to be careful to stay with us, because for her it's easier to get carried away by the music.
This girl does not sing she "is sung". It is naturally inhabited. I try to express the fact that it is the music that uses Angelina Jordan to express itself through her. Like Mozart for example, she makes no effort to feel the music, nor to express and interpret it. It is almost a game for her whereas for many artists it takes years of effort to copy. Angelina does not copy, she sings every time for the first time.
It seems strange to us because it is very rare. Most people pretend everywhere and even the artists most often make the actors and even those who have a very beautiful voice and who work a lot to pretend to show emotions. This is why the experts who dissect her voice and her techniques are mistaken because she carries everything in her without trying to "" learn to do "".
Angélina Jordan is unique because I believe that in addition to her magnificent voice, she is always natural in her behavior, she does not cheat. his face remains simple, humble as his looks and his expressions which are always benevolent without ever trying to shine.

Long before Angelina Norway got another prodigy, she has now for 3 decades been called the national treasure of Norway.
She goes by her first name SISSEL and she is one of the best ( if not the best ) female sopranos in the world.
Could you react to her singing "Slow down" whit the "Tabernacle Choir", a song that gets endless ovasion schould be worth reacting to. BTW she is the hounting voice from the movie Titanic.

This version was recorded outdoors and during the "Singing on the Border" show held every year on the border between Norway and Sweden in Fredriksten fortress, during the summer and with the at the public with lyrics to encourage them to sing together. On these occasions, almost every year, IMO, Angelina feels very comfortable and calm and manages to make the most of her great possibilities, she is also more effective in interpreting the same cover that she does in an indoor concert of the same year. 😊 😊

Every time I hear Angelina sing, I picture her stepping out of an old black & white movie, to take us back in time, so we can fall in love with these genuine masterpieces again ❤️ 💚 💙 💜 Great reaction!!! First let me say "outstanding reaction" and people that that may not like her but feel the need to criticize her need only to listen to the last part of this song (that you replayed), and if they still want to say she has no talent nor unusual ability then it is evident they are just jealous of her ability or filled with hate because their "favorite can't do what she does!! Secondly This is one of my top 5 songs by Angeline (maybe #1) and the last 30 seconds are without a doubt the best ending to a song (any song) I have ever heard!!!!
