Jackson showed her more respect when he said goodbye, and they weren't even dating. I know she has Luna, but she doesn't have any family outside of Luna. Apparently she's not good for anyone, and is apparently too damaged to be in a relationship, as others have said. Thing is we’ve been shown how much Alex loved her but because the writers had a thing for Izzie they had to have Alex be with Izzie instead of writing him off in a good and proper way that stays true to his character
If they ever gonna cast someone as her love potential, i hope he doesn't have any baggages. She been through a lot as a foster child, as a battered wife and who got ghosted by someone whom she had a relationship for 6 years and left her with just a freaking letter. I hope the writers stop giving her shits, Jo Wilson deserves nothing but happiness at this point of her life.
Alex was my favourite character. I watched every episode weekly from 2009 to the episode that Justin left the show. I quit afterwards because not only was what they did a character assassination on Alex, they did it at the expense of Jo, who was also in my top 5 characters. This show was a part of my personality for so long, I have yet to find anything as special to me (Granted there are just WAY better stories and acting out there, a couple examples being Prison Break or The Expanse). There was SOOOOO many better options they could have done, one being killing Alex in the most brutal way protecting Jo, because at least he would have gone down a hero and not a fucking asshole leaving the sweet wholesome Jo to blame herself, and going back to a woman who gave zero shits about him for YEARS.
Alex left her after they got married and lied and said he was going to visit his mom when really he went to see izzie and the 2 kids he didn’t know he had

You may not like her character, but Katherine put on the best acting in the show, she always made her character feel real. Nothing can touch that.
