2 practical reasons for your tax complaint: taxes are based on property value, so im assuming they're low in a small town? there's also not a lot of ppl so they have a small budget. You get garbage picked up, right? is there a school? And #2 for the police thing its hard to hire policemen in a small town as they are likely to know people they pull over, causing conflict of interest. So I hear.

Just depends on what you are going to do with it. The sumo has better forks, bigger front brakes, and a different style rear chain adjuster, with 17 inch wheels. The S model is totally different and geared more toward on/ off road.

2 up off road is not very smart no matter what youre on. I was in colorado ripping thru the mountains on my 05 drz sumo. I was around 13000 elevation and wtf do i see? 2 up on a drz. I was laughing my ass off. I can't imagine off road though, it can be tricky enough with one rider but it all depends on what youre doing.

I have 50/50 tires on my sm, does pretty good off road. Just gotta watch the front wheel being a 17, it will try and wash out on you
