I love it that you mention something I've seen many riders forget, it doesn't matter who's right, in the end, what really matters is to get home safely...
Exactly! That’s the main goal! Thanks for watching !
@@KickinItWithQ, I am glad you made a Dallas based video, these folks drive like knuckleheads out here.
@dejuanmills77 man it’s gotten terrible bro!
@@KickinItWithQ very much, people are driving soooo reckless.
True, the middle lane makes you worry about cars on either side, but it also provides an escape to either side.
Very true
I’m currently a sophomore in highschool and I am no way close in getting a motorcycle but this video helps me dream about it 😂
😂 dream on my friend. We achieve our goals first in our minds. 💪🏾
I’m buying my first bike this Saturday. Thanks for this content. Still gonna make sure I get as much knowledge as I can before riding. Thanks

I’m local to DFW and just picked up my first bike, my main thought was how different the traffic and roads are in Dallas compared to say my home state of New York, Texas isn’t a motorcycle friendly riding environment compared to New York State, but being that I’m a little nervous to start really riding in Dallas I must say your video is exactly what I needed, thanks hope to see ya around✌️
Ride safe bro
Thank you for the video. Great information man.
Preciate you watching and glad they helped
Fantastic video, great tips all around. I drive a lot for work and was fortunate enough to be able to take the smith driving class. It works with any type of vehicle on the road from scooters to peterbuilts. Here are the main principles:
Aim High. The first rule for this method is “Aim high in steering”. .. keep an eye 15 seconds ahead of your position
The Big Picture. “Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Check mirrors every 8 seconds
Keep Your Eyes Moving. ...
Leave Yourself an Out. ...
Make Sure They See You
Using these principles and your tips will keep you alive. Avoid distractions, know your route ahead of time, allow plenty of time to get to your destination without rushing.
Those are great tips! Will definitely apply those myself. Thanks for sharing and for watching
Great video - I know exactly where you are and I've only ridden my bike on that stretch on the weekends. Thanks for the advice!
Got a love 75. No problem bro. Glad you enjoyed it ride safe.
Good job on this one bro👍You talked about looking where you're going to go, not where you are. Good Tips!
Glad you like the video man! Preciate it 🤝
Pro tip: you can watch series on flixzone. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies these days.

Thanks boss! Glad you enjoyed it! Ride safe bro
Q, you should do a gear video on what you recommend for people getting into riding.
Great video brother!
Yea I was going too do one. The season changing slowed me down because I was going to do a summer gear review. I may just combine them. I Preciate the input
I'm getting nervous watching this because I live in California. People are crazy man but I know eventually I will train myself to get to this level. Such a great video man thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it man! Yea just ride like no once sees you. You’ll get better and can anticipate the more you ride!
Much love and respect for this video bro!!
Hope it helped! Thanks for watching!
New rider here, and I like what you said…you’re always scanning. I live in Brooklyn, no such thing as a quiet country road. Far too many distracted and terrible riders around. My mind can’t help but to assess everything for something to go wrong because there’s always someone who will see that it does.
Yup exactly bro! Ride safe
Same! 👍
Great tips thank you
More of this please! Love the video!
I actually sold my bike
Loved the vid man, thanks 💪🏻
Glad you like them bro! I appreciate you watching!
Thanks for the information! New rider and now I know how to ride more safely in the area I live also. Dallas is a bit crazy sometimes
Glad the video helped out! Yes Dallas has grown so much there’s traffic 24/7 now. Congrats on getting on 2s. Ride safe ✌🏾

Very good advices. I benefited from it. Thanks. :)
Glad it helped bro!
My wish is to own a motorcycle in the near future, I'm studying the California Motorcycle DMV book with California motorcycle safety book in advanced. Right now I watched some videos on how to use the clutch with the shifter from the motorcycle; anyways Excellent video on how to drive in traffic.
Great tips, glad I found this video.
Thanks man! Glad the video helped!
This was very helpful! even for seasoned riders. You need a refresher once in a while. I jumped on my bike after a long time off, and almost died.... haha now I will play this vid before every ride! CHeers!
Haha man def can be some rust after the winter months. Glad the video helped man! Thanks for watching and ride safe!
Good video. Thanks for posting this. Lots of good tips here.

Here's 2 tips for you that should increase your chances of survival by around 400% - Keep both hands on the handlebars and keep both wheels on the tarmac.

Taking my first hour trip on the freeway tomorrow on a 2017 Ninja 650 I bought from a friend. Just upgraded from a 300 and I’m excited to get some more power. Thanks for the tips! Definitely gonna use the blind spot riding lane you showed because freeways on So Cal are nuts
Glad the video helped. Ride safe man
thank u bro this was helpful!
Glad it helped write safe and thanks for watching
Good video man! Fort Worth here and looking to get on the highway soon but I35 and 820 is crazy even in a car lol.
Yea definitely be careful out there man!
This was awesome bro, good job
Thanks bro!
Good video bro, I’m in Dallas been here 3 years now but have been scared as hell of the traffic.. recently had a wreck on 121 from a guy just sitting in the middle of the tollway with no hazards and now have a rod & screws in my leg… I was in a car but and was actually going to buy another bike the next day.. Dallas traffic scares me but I’m finna get one anyway just to ride in my neighborhood & town until I shake the fear
Yeah bro I agree 100%. That’s actually one of the main things have kept me from getting another one. The traffic here is just ridiculous. Now it’s too congested. Wishing you a speedy recovery bro
Excellent thank you
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.
Another great thing about thing of left lane, is alot of times you have a free shoulder lane to get out on if you can brake fast enough
Yup exactly
Bro!!!!!! Congratulations on 10k!!!!!! I’m tuned in Professor Q
You takin facts my dude
Man I made a video like this when I 1st started my channel .... dude I are talking the same knowledge!!!!!! Dude freakin awesome video !!!!! Keep pushing the word out man 🦾🦾🦾
@@DudeMungus I appreciate the congrats my guy! Can’t believe it took just about three years but I did it just trying to keep going up. Yes motorcycle riding a lot of guys get themselves in trouble and see people always cut them off it’s really because they didn’t position them selves in the right place if that makes sense
Great 👍🏻 thanks 🙏🏽
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
Thx brother for the tips!
Glad they helped! Thanks for watching the video!
Great video for a new writer like me. I love Dallas, but live in Allen. I hate the roads in Dallas because they don’t take care of all the huge bumps and cracks for the motorcyclist.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Yes, the northside is much better than the southside of Dallas Forest roads. I usually don’t go past 635 when I did ride unless it’s a trip down 75 and back.
Riding my whole life , Great insight
Nothing compares to riding for sure. Thanks man. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this video 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching
There’s a highway here, where I live and there is some road work going on. What’s it like to ride over big bumps going 75/80 mph. What I mean by big bumps is part of the highway is being replaced and the bridges are not so the asphalt is two different heights. About an inch difference.
Going deaf fast over bump you definitely will fill it so if you can’t try to slow down or avoid. Usually when I go over bumps that big I just kind of stand up at the seat or a lift up at the seat and let the bike absorbed and you absorb with your knees
Great Information!
Preciate it bro 🤝
Thank you.
🫡
Thanks man
No problem glad you enjoyed the video
Great video dude. Just went out for my first real rush hour highway drive. Was a little nervous
Haha I remember my first Highway ride. Was the scariest most adrenaline rush ever lol
@@KickinItWithQ no kiddin man! I operate heavy equipment and haul it on a 75 foot lowboy and for some reason my bike was the most nerve-wracking machine I've ridden. I'm over it now!!! I'm hooked.
@@bmack7762 😂😂 I know the feeling. ride safe bro!
@@KickinItWithQ you as well!
thanks sir ,from 🇵🇭

This video alone on 75 is a different kind of pressure. Good video broski
For sure definitely gotta be safe on 75
@@KickinItWithQ no cap. Just got my license. Do you recommend the highway at night time with less traffic or on the weekend during the day for first timers?

Yo! look search DFWMSR group on Facebook. Ride safe
Short video but informative.

Very good video 📹 👍 🎉🎉

What do you do when you go over and down bridges how do you shift on that
I rode my bike home 30 minutes from the dealer on the freeway interesting run my only experience was the brc
Nice! Glad you made it safely
@@KickinItWithQ thanks lol definitely took focus
what beginner bike do you recommend for daily highway riding?
This video earned you a sub
I appreciate it,bro. Ride safe.

Thanks boss! Ride safe!
I don't ride a motorcycle, but this was very helpful
Thanks man! Definitely gotta defend yourself when you riding. Glad it helped
Got my 1st bike and I'm 48 and this video is very informative. Subbed.
Glad you enjoyed the video and it helped you out! Thanks for subbing and coming to KickinItWithQ! 💯🤝🏾
@jinda what bike you got?
@@Voltomess I have the Trident 660.
@@jinda8897 nice bike 👍👍 ride safe bro!
@@Voltomess Thanks man. You too, stay safe.
I used to ride this way, got tired of speeding and still getting tailgated. Now I just cruise in right lane hugging lane position 1. Just adjust speed for merging cars, let everyone else get in front.
I just got a moped so I ain’t passing no one haha but this is so helpful. I have a 50cc, where you stay in the fast lane, should I be in the right lane? I’ll be mostly in downtown city traffic slower but dense
Yea definitely stay in slower lane since you got less power. I started on a 150cc scooter
I know this is 3 years old, but a very good video
I appreciate that boss. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video!
Would you mind letting me know how you are recording audio to the GoPro camera? What wireless microphone are you using?
Thanks!
It’s the purple panda mic
@@KickinItWithQ I see that they are wired, so you fix them to the inside of your helmet and run the wire to the GoPro? Is that it?
Thanks!
