I am a bait casting enthusiast who recently embarked on a journey to find the perfect spinning reel for my needs. I purchased the Vanguish, TP XD, and Daiwa Airity reels, but none of them fully met my expectations.
However, when the JDM TP FE 2500 was released, I found the reel I had been searching for. I am so impressed with its core solid feeling that I would definitely consider purchasing another one. While the Stella reel may be exceptional, it exceeds my budget for one spinning reel.

Love the twin power fe. Great for anything that is a constant retrieve. Its technically in the coresolid family under the stella where the mgl family highest end is vanquish. MGL takes less effort to turn/stop, coresolid has more effort to start/stop but stays rotating better.

Very nice reel! Reminds me of my 06' twinpower! I have 22 stella and vanquish 23 and 20 twinpower... all 2500 series.
For finesse fishing, Vanquish is the king and other than that Ill go Stella.😊

Nice. Not a finesse model though. If anything it's more robust than a Stella as the Stella has a mainly magnesium body with some Ci4 plus. The Twin Power has aluminum with some Ci4 plus. I got a 4000PG Japanese model. It has a power handle. That's not why I bought it. But it's a bonus. It's the slowest ratio option. I think the higher speed ratio Japanese models also have a T type handle. But the 5000 also has a power handle.
I will mainly use it for lure fishing for pike. I also got a 5000 size spool. As the 4000 and 5000 size reels have the same body. So you can switch spools. I think the same goes for the 2500 and 3000 sizes. It's that way with most Shimano reels. But there may be some exceptions.
Loaded mine with eight strand Sunline Castaway in 50lb test. Ordered the lot from Japan.
The FE is sold is the US and most or all of Europe. The Japanese models have different named models. E.g. PG instead of FE. But seem pretty much identical.
Anyway I'm hoping mine will last. It won't see the salt. Which should help long-term.
    We shall see.

You are so wrong on your statement that this model is for finness fishing same category as the Vanquish, Vanford, Exsence. TwinPower have a XD model which is in this finness fishing category but not this model. This model belongs to the core solid power fishing category which consist of Stadic, Sustain, TwinPower and Stella.

Look man I'm just relaying the information I learned from the guys at Shimano. I actually went to ICast this year and was able to sit down with Shimano staff and learn about all the new reels. Though CoreSolid I still stand by my statement that it is a power finesse fishing reel. I don't believe the technology included completely excludes it from a category.

You and they are mis-informed. If you don't believe the stats. Look at Shimano Japan and their launch videos. They are not using them for anything approaching finesse.
The hint is in the name... Power.
Their top of the range MGL reel is the Vanquish.
So Shimano USA are either misinformed or misleading you. They might be trying to market the reel to the US Freshwater bass market. As that's where the big market is.
