Is my timing chain tensioner going bad?mk6 gti

One noise is the evac valve which always makes a ticking but you do need to replace chain and tensioner

Albert Ambroise I was told it was just the purge valve clicking and that it is normal,

mine sounds like it comes from the head. I have everything taken apart from the head and everything looks good . maybe I'm over thinking it. It sounds like bent valves

Michael Theut you would know if you had bent valves chain would skip timing and throw a code if it destroyed your engine..
