For those concerned about watch size, those with 6.25 / 6.5 inch wrists, the short lug to lug works great, plus the case around the bezel looks smaller in person when on the wrist.
Just picked up the 51. They are sweet watches. It really does form around my wrist like it was custom made for me. Also, I don't understand why people complain about the bracelets like they are so terrible that you cannot wear them. Bracelet looks awesome on mine, and it fits awesome. Grey color looks lighter in person than in videos.
The longer I got into the video the more I really dig the two tone. I picked my black dial on bracelet brand new on Ebay for 170.00dollars. Pretty good deal I feel. I have a seiko Sarx055 and a sary 057 and 55 and it's right there in looks with the presage line minus the cheaper feep of the Seiko 5 bracelet and the 6r15 movement in my sarx. But the 4r is also a very good out the box movement. I dont have a ton of money, I'm just a Country bus driver....the only luxury end watch I own is a Omega seamaster 300 automatic. And I like it.... but ive become a real Seiko maniac the last several years. I love my Seiko Flightmaster, my sarx and sary line, my skx007 mod, my seiko 7002 diver mod, and my Seiko Turtle homage to the Apocalypse now...the 4k version though. Hahaa. Sapphire, 38 mm , Jubilee with solid end links, drilled lugs, bezel that lines up and a 4R 36 movement and 200 M. Set me back $329.00 USD. These watches do compete in every way but heritage with Seikos. Called Islanders. Great vid. Just subbed.
I have the brushed version with the mat black dial, wear it on a dark blue strap, looks kinda toolish and I wear it at work driving a forklift, I love mine.

Funny that Lorier was brought up as looking better in the metal than in pictures, and maybe the Gemini does but the Falcon 2 looks exquisite in all of the photos and online images - unfortunately almost none of the pop in the images translated in the metal with the white dial version. It's a good looking, well made watch, but legibility is lacking, the details featured on the dial like the diamond waffle pattern are too slight to have any impact and the bracelet tapers so much that it looks dainty once it's on the wrist. I tried on one of the new Seiko 5 SRPE and it was a world of difference. Sold the Lorier, bought an SRPE057 and saved a good chunk of money.

It has the 4r35 movement and a hardlex crystal. 3 years ago I purchased the Seiko Sary055 which is the same movement but has a Sapphire crystal. So I was kind of surprised this Seiko Spirit has a Hardlex. But I will say this Seiko Spirit Szsb011 does look cool and feel cool. I've seen a few on Ebay brand new for 400. I am torn between the black and the grey dial. The sunburst is cool and all but it seems a bit too flashy for everyday use. I guess the brushed black one (with a strapcode jubilee?) would be more readable and versatile. Simple but classy. But that might just be me overthinking it 😉
I know what you mean! I like the sunburst gray, as well. But; I am also leaning more toward the SRPE67 with the black dial, brushed bezel, and nylon strap. I will add a bracelet from Long Island Watch, and a few nylon straps w/ quick release pins from Barton. 👍🍻 Good video by the way!!
Picked up a new srpe55 for $146 shipped. Just an absurd value. I was certain I'd need to replace the bracelet and so far, even it has surpassed my expectations.
I would like the 5kx better if it had a screw in crown. I dont trust a push pull crown in water. I did buy this dresskx and ordered a better bracelet plus modded it with a sapphire crystal. Damn good watch for the price.
Absolutely, however haven’t seen any yet. I’ve heard some rumors about Long Island Watch making some, and I’m sure strapcode is working on some yet being patient for now. I’ll grab a jubilee-style one as soon as I can.

I was definitely looking at these as my first automatic watch, but then I got a good deal on a used seiko SARX035 and I'm in love with it.
