***I just bought the Bonajour Peptide Water Cream to test- I love their green tea water cream and this one looks promising. They say it is good for oily skin, so I am testing it for those of you with that skin type!! A great budget option (it appears) at $17

Great advice, Penny. Sleep deprivation is real and “mean”-o-pause didn’t help! I feel it is getting better though. I wake up during the night but go back to sleep quickly. My husband and I trade morning dog walks before breakfast. Now that we have sun in Portland, I hope to see even further improvement. Love DRMTLGY Peptide Night Cream and I use Matrixyl and Argeriline in the morning (and other stuff). I drink hot water with a teaspoon of Turmeric powder, a dash of pepper and a teaspoon of local raw honey before coffee. It is good for detoxing, digestion, inflammation, heart and skin “they say”. But I really like it and can’t hurt.

You’re remark about electrolyte water in the morning struck a chord with me. You recently mentioned the Cymbiotika Liposomal vitamins, and I went, and I got the magnesium in the vanilla, cream flavor, and the vitamin C in the citrus vanilla. I’ll add this to a fantastic electrolyte formula. That’s a strawberry lemonade flavor. It’s amazing , it’s so delicious that I actually look forward to drinking it. I make myself a 16 ounce glass and I finish the whole thing. I do that a few times a day. I’m trying to incorporate these liquid vitamins in to my diet because I take so many supplements that they upset my stomach in pill form. this way I feel I’m getting my hydration with the electrolytes plus adding supplements into it and it makes it something I want to drink.
As for sleep deprivation that is 100% accurate. Not only do you look crummy if you’re sleep deprived but your brain doesn’t function properly. I’ve always been a sleeper I know they say as you get older you need less sleep but I’m 75 I still get my eight hours asleep at night. But I know that that morning sunlight is so important. I’ve always said I’d like a rooster as soon as the sun comes up. I am up so I recognize that but I was fortunate enough recently it’ll be two years in August to move into a new home with the bedroom facing the east side of the house in a huge window. My blinds are open so I can capture that very first blast of sunlight that comes in and it’s so energizing. My husband and I find we sit in our little chairs up there with the sun coming in and you can just feel that it gives you a boost for the rest of the day.

At 56, I have definitely seen that getting enough sleep is the most important thing. I notice the difference immediately when I don't get enough sleep, especially if more than one night. I had to relearn to sleep reliably when I returned to work at 5 years of early retirement (got eager for a new career path). I used the ideas from Dr. Huberman to finally get back to reliable sleep after so many years of just sleeping whenever I felt like it.

Thanks for the interesting and informative video! Sleep is everything. I’m a completely different person when I’m sleep deprived, physically, mentally and emotionally. I drink a ridiculous amount of water most days and drink electrolytes too. I’ve always had oily skin so I guess I’m lucky though it’s not cute-looking at all.😅 I use the Cos de Baja Peptide toner as a moisturizer on most days and sometimes add a serum or gel-cream at night. I just added the Bonajour one to my cart for the additional peptides so thank you for this! ❤
I mentioned on a comment that I didn’t recognize my father in the ICU as he was profoundly dehydrated before he died. 😮Might’ve been what killed him, we don’t know. Totally unrecognizable! I upped my water intake after this 😂😂

Yes, thank you so very much for everything you said/educated about internal dehydration and hydrating with electrolytes. Internal hydration makes such a major difference in every single cell of our bodies. I work in outpatient chemotherapy/biotherapy infusion. I cannot tell you how many of our oncology patients come in our clinic on certain days just for Intravenous fluid and electrolyte replacement, It makes such a difference in the way they feel; especially when they don’t feel their best to begin with. I love it that they jumped on it and got your Momma IV hydration.

I plan on checking out Huberman. I use Drmtology peptide night cream but I feel I need more hydration. I live in Colorado an it’s dry. I try to avoid products with lots of humectants because I thought they could actually make your skin more dry because they have no moisture in the air to pull from so they pull from your skin. Could you clear this up for me???? Also I bartend and sleep is something I struggle with …trying to cut out alcohol and that does help. Will check out Huberman. Love the necklace

I start each day with warm water and lemon (not necessarily a Huberman recommendation, but it hydrates me, tastes good, and keeps me from drinking coffee ), get the earliest sunlight I possibly can (preferably with “forward ambulation”) and avoid caffeine for the first 1 1/2-2 hours-per Huberman, and it is a game-changer!

Yes, mainly increased energy and better sleep. But also a sense of control: this is very powerful. If I can say “No coffee 90-120 minutes after rising” and follow-through even a few times (the energy and sleep are big rewards, of course), I know I can be in control of how my day starts and ends. Therefore it gets easier and easier and more and more effortless.

Thanks Penny! We all need the reminders for sleep & water! One of the BIG issues though is how sleep is Greatly affected during & after menopause!
Can you please clarify the difference between regular peptides & copper peptides, & when each should/can be used, & in combinations w/ other anti-aging ingredients.
For instance, I was told that copper peptides should NOT be used in conjunction w/ vitamin-C, as it cancels each other out. But are regular peptides ok w/ Vit-C?
I also started using Snail Mucin, but unbeknownst to me found out that it has copper peptides in it, so apparently my using Vit-C w/ it was useless. And, I was also at the same time using a regular Multi-peptide along w/ the copper peptide, & Vit-C, so besides the Vit-C w/ that being a no-no, does that make it a peptide overload? Can you use both the copper peptides at the same time as the regular peptides? And then if so, when should I fit in my Vit-C?
I was also told to Not use copper peptides on the eye area. But I had been using the regular peptides on my eye area, & that didn't seem to cause any issue, so do you think that that's ok to do?
I had read that Retinol or retinaldhyde can be combined w/ peptides, but which peptides? Regular & /copper peptides, or just pick one? And which do you think would be a better choice? And can you combine retinol /retinaldhyde, plus Vit-C, & regular peptides all together?
Also, of all those variables mentioned above, which is best for AM, & which for PM? Ugh! I'm So Confused! Help! 🤦🏼‍♀️

      Hi Cheryl!
      Ok so rules of thumb:
Most peptides (aside from copper peptides) are good with everything except glycolic and salicylic acids.
Peptides are good with vitamin C, retinoids, other peptides, humectants etc.
copper peptides are really just not good with vitamin C- although I tend to wait between AHAs and copper peptides too personally.
