#Valheim #JirocTheViking #Mistlands - Игры
This is a really interesting concept, I hope it gets added for more mobs. Could make things like fighting while undergeared a little more fun, if there's a weak spot to aim for. Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to hit a troll in the head with my sword...
Take the high ground, jump on his head, and make a remake of excalibur ! :D
Just jump!
I want to hear, "HEADSHOT!" in the old, iirc, Unreal Tournament voice when you hit a troll in the head.
I noticed difference in damage and at the same time, whoever’s struggling with the mobs in mislands just use frost arrows, that give them good damage and at the same time, freezes them, so you can kinda have a stun lock on them
i noticed using a pickaxe on a stone golems head when standing on top of it does even more damage than when attacking its body
Yes but that's because they are weak to a pickaxe and take extra damage from it. Not because they have a week spot on them. 🍻
Jan said golems take more dmg to the head than to the body - doesnt matter theyre weak to pickaxe :)
i also noticed pickaxes do more dmg to things below the player than things infront or above @Jiroc nothing new tho.
@Jiroc the Viking yeah, golem's have always taken more damage from a pickaxe on its head. It's not a new thing. I don't think that it's actually coded in as a weak spot. I think it has to do with the fact that you do more damage when mining when you're above it, as Mike said.
@@JirocTheViking yea theyre weak to pickaxes, but thats besides the point that the pickaxe does more damage to its head than to its body ⛏⛏⛏
@@JirocTheViking Try a bow on them and aim at the arm/shoulder joint. I'd swear that they ALWAYS had a weak spot there.
Pretty confident Trolls have always taken more damage from headshots. I've been taking them down with 2-3 well placed arrow headshots for a very long time, when I hit the body it takes several shots. (I haven't even played Mistlands yet)
You should check out my follow up video that proves trolls don't currently take extra headshot damage: ruclips.net/video/FXuI0nNKl7g/видео.html
Yeah I know for a fact that I've seen higher damage from headshots on not only trolls but just about every other mob in the game that's not a new feature...
I never paid attention to the numbers, but trolls have always been weak to headshots because the crit from sneak staggers them. Then if your bow skill is high enough you can repeatedly hit crits and keep it staggered.
Old gamer habit, always going for headshots. ;)
@@siuilbais2727 not true. I even confirmed with a dev.
@@JirocTheViking How is it than that the damage is higher when you shoot anything in the head and the damage color is different? It even makes a different sound when you get a headshot.
Troll headshot extra damage has been in the game for as long as i can remember. Broadbents videos of his playthrough over a year ago even mentions it.
The other 2 just looked like standard addiontal 'backstab' damage that has also always been in the game. Weapons even have a "backstab" stat multiplier when you look at weapons.
yep been that way for me since I bought it, always aim for the troll head! First couple rounds with them didn't go well...
This is false and I will prove it in my next video 😉
you cant backstab aware enemies in vanilla valheim. and no we did not have headshot damage on trolls yet.
get your infos straight :) you can roll back patch and try for yourself @Fly
I've always aimed for the head on trolls. Most of the time I would always knock them off balance as well as get extra damage.
That is great. I always thought the head shot should have dealt extra damage. I'm glad they added that!
Not sure about other mobs, but I can confirm that Troll heads have always done extra damage.
Awesome, thanks for the info.
Hope there are more😊
trolls already have weak spots on the heads before the mistlands
great video btw
This is false and I will prove it in my next video 😉
@@JirocTheViking this being still a myth says a lot about the average aim in this game xD
@@MikeGrau0hr My favourite myth is the boar stone respawn, it's so persistent. The community is full of these. 😅
I think you mean they were weak to puncture or some type of damage
I can rest now 😂🙏🏻 fair play tya for covering that!
The Gjall noise spook the crap outta me everytime. Fel Reavers has lost the scare meeter.
Reminds me of War of the Worlds.
Wow, im amazed at how quickly you react to requests and suggestions. I read the comments section on yesterdays video where Jelly Jam Boy pitched this idea, and now less than 24 hours later, there is a full video on it, awsome :D I havent tried Mistlands yet, so i cant say for any other mobs, but i would imagine that making hitboxes is easiest, and makes more sense to do on larger mobs, that already has resistances of sorts. Im thinking the Abomination, Golem, Greydwarf Brute, Serpent and Lox maybe? Cant wait for the official release :D
nope, confirmed with a modder, only those 3 mobs have weak spots in the code 😉
Well , if you join his discord, you will realize he spend most of his time in video forging than anything else. A true dedicated Vicking.
Seeker Soldiers take more damage to the abdomen, like spiderants from Borderlands.
the Gjall remind me of the Netch from Morrowind!
When you're advanced enough with swords and do the power thrust, move to the trolls groin area , then tend to die quickly.
quick question... there are ballistas? I thought I heard something there ;)
Not a weak spot per say, but I've noticed that if you shoot a mob before they become aware of you, even if you aren't sneaking, they'll usually drop in one hit. The only exception I've come across was with Elites, but even then they'll have taken a significant amount of damage.
Yeah that's when you get the sneak attack multiplier
Huh, and here I thought the Troll Headshot thing was, like, a fluke, or me just wishing I was seeing bigger damage numbers pop up. But no, it actually works like that!
Only in the Mistlands version of the game. Not current release.
yes!! finally!!
Idk if its considered a weak spot at all, but when mobs are 'wet' after stay in water and u hit them with frost damage weapon (hammer idont remember the nsme) they became weak (yellow number appear) try it. Sry about my english its not my primary language, cheers my friend
I hope this works for lightning damage as well. bzzzzzt
Wow thanks for sharing, not much new I learn these days after many hundreds of hours playing but this one was new to me!
@ManMang0 I have a video on extra damage when a creature is wet 😉
@@JirocTheViking I will have to catch up on your uploads then, I tend to binge and then take months off of anything Valheim related xd
Serpents hit by frost arrows die in seconds because of this. You as well if it rains and your home get raided by ice drakes. Unless you wear wolf cape. Then you just get some damage and live.
I can’t get over Thumbnail.
😁
Hey, you forgot to link the video about damage vulnerability tgat you mentioned
Not a weakspot, but try special attack with axe now 😉
oh o.o did they add the pickaxe animation as second attack?
@@MikeGrau0hr yes, and I lovet it
@@mattiasjohansson5881 specially useful if you have a stump or logs that are below your normal hitbox.
I swear I heard somewhere that trolls also have weaknesses in the groin
Some dude said it in another video I remember too
I feel like they might bc it always feels like I do more damage but then again I just roll/parry the entire moveset. Please test it lol
I tested troll groin. It's not a weak spot.
@@JirocTheViking after this video, I don't trust your testing.
I think the Troll Groin weakspot is catching the back of the leg or something for the backstab bonus. I have done it multiple times, but it doesn't happen every time for a crit/bonus dmg. Very inconsistent, which makes me think its just where the hitbox of the arrow clips the troll legs
@@TCxKai Backstab is NOT hitting them in the back! It is a surprise attack on first attack anywher you hit them. It should be called "Surprise Attack" and not "Backstab". I will prove in my next video.
What I’ve noticed, I was using needle arrows in mislands and they were doing ok, but as soon as I tried front arrows
WHAT?
@@appleOgreen I finished lower, see below
@@thomasromanciuc9319 it's actually higher now due to upvotes. You just edit your original msg too.
@@BloodwolfTico my bad😂
Hit a troll in the eye for 240 or more, will likely never make that shot again tho.
Whats your bow skill to load that fast?
100
Getting headshots on most mobs does more damage. It can just be hard to land them on smaller units.
If only
I wonder if serpents have a weak spot now.
Seeker brute is the soldier right?
Yes
Hi I've noticed lately when I shoot an arrow 🏹 at a StoneGolem's left shoulder area a big drop in power. Idk exactly where, but it could be the armpit or joint area. I know arrows don't do much at all against Golem's, but there's something going on now. And maybe it could be the right-side also. But yeah I'm aim for that sweet spot area, it's just they keep twisting and turning lol
Not sure if this has always been there, but I've noticed that arrows do more damage to stone golems when the golem is not on the alert.
@@raptorsoul Thats with every enemy dude, thats why stealth into backstab does so much damage
Yeah. My bad. I'm not much for stealth, in case I didn't make it obvious. Lol.
Thanks for the info Jiroc! The Pirate hat is almost as cool as the cowboy hat with Aviators. All it needs is an eye patch!
I'm having the eye patch added!!
@@JirocTheViking Woot Woot!!!
@@JirocTheViking That would be perfect for me, I'm blind in my left eye!
People not realising that Yellow means weakness and not necessarily weakSPOT
Bosses have weakspots too, i consistently did 60 damage only to yagluths left eye, but consistently did 40 anywhere else. Using frost arrows. Bow skill 30 ish
😱
@@JirocTheViking I swear it's true, and I'm not confused, because it's all I was staring at while he was stuck on a rock for like an hour lol.
Me who always shoots things in the butt in video games: hehe excellent!
I think the snow biome rock golems have a weak spot on the x
Was there a mistlands raid confirmed yet?
Two in fact. They are listed in the patch notes
What's the name of the hat mod?
Jiroc Hats
@@JirocTheViking Thank you
@@JirocTheViking How can i equip them?
@@griver just like any other helmet
@@JirocTheViking i meant how to get it, i don't have a recipe or anything like that
Lox have one to.
They don't, I checked
@@JirocTheViking really? I had pretty yellow numbers on nose shots. Might be my imagination. I'll check it out again.
Trolls are also weak if you shoot their armpits
🤦♂️
@@JirocTheViking I'm serious, try it!
Toll Headshot is a thing already and backstab is a thing already. None of this is new except the new mobs.
False
@@JirocTheViking K.
@TC Kai I'm doing a follow up video to prove it 😉
@@JirocTheViking Let see is he going to delete comment lol (Enjoy your video)
Bro, a spoiler warning would have been nice. I really didn't want to know what the new creatures were.
The title literally says "mistlands tips and tricks" so why'd you watch it in the first place
