You never explained the developers couldn't beat them, tho, which is why I clicked the vid. Sorry, but I already know all this, and I'm not really impressed. :/
even though they did test them out and non of the games on the list are that hard and idk why dark souls 3 was on there that is the easiest on the list and an easy game in general
Clickbait title. This is unprofessional. The developers absolutely completed these games otherwise they would have never been released. Just make your title "10 most difficult games" Until then, I'll continue to remain UNsubscribed.
> what would life be if all games were easy to beat? Then people would actually *have* lives instead of being slaves to game developers who want them to become zombified addicts.
I presented my little cousin of 12 years old, super meat boy, I told him that this was hard as hell to beat, he told me that he wanted to test it, I agree, obviously telling him that it wouldn't be that easy, he finish the first world in less than half an hour, I was amazed, I told him "How did you do that?", which he respond with "I just payed atention to the scenery". I told him "I will give you $50 if you manage to beat the game before you need to leave" (They normally visit us for 4 hours, and it already had been 30 minutes). He was focused on the game the entire time, he passed through the bosses like it was no big deal, until he managed to get to the dark world, It has already been 3 hours, he only had nearly 25 minutes left. He was already in the final stage and died twice in Dr. Fetus speedrun, I must say I was impressed, when i turned to the screen and I saw the credits rolling down, he finally said "I won". I proudly congratulate him and gave him $100, Surprised he said "But this is $100, The bet was for $50", "You have earned this, I must say, I'm impressed" I responded, however, it was not until an hour later that my aunt called him back, I stood up and said "When you are ready for the challenge, I will let you play,"I wanna be the guy"" he only responded with an "I think I am ready now, but I need to go, bye!".
There weren't any instances mentioned in the video about how the game developers couldn't complete their own game; it was just a list of hard games that exist. So yeah, it's kind of clickbait.
Ninja Gaiden 1 on Xbox is king of unfair. Ninja Gaiden 2 fixed everything wrong with hack n slash genre. I wish there were more games like NG2. It's my favorite hack n slash game.
I ended up finishing ninja gaiden black's master ninja difficulty setting in just over 38 hours. I ended up destroying 2 Xbox controllers in the process.
+LIzren Arts,Deadtoads Actually he is really easy since his moves are so obvious before his attacks, just learn his move-set. After I learned it I beat him the first time.
IKindaCheat like you said "shamless" might wanna check that. Also the only to get big is clickbait. Tell me one really popular channel that doesnt clickbait
Thanks A Lot Pewds There are other ways to get big. Clickbait is just a cheap tactic. It really isn't that hard to find a popular channel without clickbait, going from the most subscribed list, there's channels like Smosh, or Nigahiga, and other channels I'm too lazy to list.
Avi but you need to realize, that those are just channels that use it to the bare minimum. And this channel does that too. The fact is, these people's jobs are at risk right now, and, honestly, I don't find clickbait that bad. Of course there are channels who have blatant lies on their thumbnails, but run of the mill clickbait to me, is fine.
Haaaa- I played Ghosts n Goblins again about a year ago (emulator) because I had never beat it growing up and got frustrated after a while. I ended up using an infinite lives cheat and just getting to the end of the first set of levels was ridiculous. I'm glad it made the list.
I wanna know what kind of person makes a plot, makes a character, designs a level, designs the enemies, and creates a difficulty, and still can't beat the game they created?
Awesome list, with really difficult titles...only problem is that you have battletoads listed as NES, yet the gameplay is from a later game in the series of battletoads on the super Nintendo...and the Ghost's n Goblins game you show gameplay of Ghouls and Ghosts (sequel on snes) while the thing says NES...You should probably make sure you have the right footage of the game, or else it just gets confusing :/
That's Ghosts n Goblins on the nintendo in the video. The genesis and super nintendo versions look much better than that, the zombies take longer to come up, and the gargoyles fly diagonally.
I can agree with this: I may not have played Xcom original, but I played 2, and in Xcom 2, got caught by a saucer, got shot down, lost ALL of my soldiers, and 1 brave soldier freed the ship, that's a challenging game change right there.
yeah. i beat the game without dying once. it was just slightly harder than most average games, certainly not worthy of the title of "even the developers couldn't beat"
Mogli Dogli that is not the regular difficulty. Okay maybe ng+7 is built into the game, but fists only is a user handicap. I can make any game challenging by doing things like that. I love souls games btw, ds3 being my second favorite
yep,you cane asy make the easiest game harder than dark soul if you add handicap it's stupide to add then say dark soul is hard, when it really isn't hard the way it's meant to be played
if you want a fun side story about an uninteresting game : Battleship ( 2011, XBOX ) I was part of the testers in Activision, the first builds of the game were a nightmare, the enemy was so good at shooting that we couldn't go past level 1 for a week. It got easier after that, but in Normal difficulty, it is quite hard to finish the released game
+LP Wr0te when the video just comes out it isn't at top quality right away a +Cooltrainer Jake If anything it'd be his wifi not his computer u don't know your stuff
normalguycap 3 is harder than 1. And if you make a fist only Challenge Midir, Gael... Spear of the church are extrem hard to kill in NG + 7. It took me hours to kill Midir
Nier Automata on the hardest difficulty is probably one of the tougher games out there especially with some of their incredibly insane bullet hell style fights all while you can be around 2 hits way from dying.
I played and finished the original one on the hardest difficulty level (dante must die.) And I can tell you it was freaking hard. Everything went into super mode if you didn't kill it fast enough. Then I played the new edition and it was super easy by comparison. You probably played the easy edition.
You're probably using your Shield too much and not actually going in guns blazing. Dark Souls 3 becomes easy when you know what you're doing when you start off you really have no fukin clue?
It was easy now back then it was pretty hard, Being the original one. Although if you think that's easy DMC4 has Hell and Hell mode which is pretty hard since you die in one hit but you do get 3 chances.
You never beat the games in one go unless you played the Fuk out of them and knew what to do and where to go. There hard if you go in blind and Blood borne moved the speed up "No shield" so don't try to say anything. Sorry but try not showing off but its easier if you played them long enough. 1: UNHOLY BOSSES 2: Gank city Blood Borne: Lovecraft in Hardcore game mode 3: Fast and dangerous bosses
Dude i dont play with shield :/ My fav is pyro/dex build :) and bloodborne was easy for me becouse of gun pary (no seriusly it is op as fuck) i've gun paried almost half a game :D Oh and i didnt say that i never died in thoase games belive me i DIED alot O.o And dude what i ment to say in my previus coment, dark souls 1 was the hardest becouse i didnt know what to do.!!!! (you idiot) Next games were easyer becouse i knew how thoase games works.!!!
Bloodborne is just the training wheels for people who don't know how to dodge or parry in dark souls it also taught people to be more aggressive something that most souls games made didn't make people do especially the people who hide behind shields only to realize that this is a human they are fighting
Lost levels was really fun. When you think you beat it and realize that it's not even over yet. Don't use warp tunnels to get to the secret world 9. It was difficult. I beat it on the SNES re-release. Now I'm playing it on my retropie setup with the 8bit graphics on the FDS emulator.
Dark souls was beat 5 times in a row with the person using a guitar as a contoller the first time, a drum the second, a footpad thing, a driving wheel, and something else.
I'm sure developers *can* complete their own games. In fact I heard DS3 devs has tested the game difficulty by completed without any armor or leveling up.
I had Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 (NES) when I was a kid and remember screaming at the TV in frustration many times. It was a love/hate relationship with those games. ;)
thanks for including ninja gaiden! especially the Xbox reboot. normal was hard, hard was incredibly tough and very hard is damn near impossible. loved every second...maybe not skeleton archers, ghost pirahna and laser crabs.
Good video When i was playing Dark Souls 2:Sotfs i was screaming because there where some bosses that i couldent even touch i even break my controller once when i was fighting The Smelter Demon 😂
Pretty sure FromSoft easily beat their own Dark Souls then there's Killing Floor, where Hell on Earth is literally designed to be hard enough that the devs cannot beat it.
not surprised by the number of old games or retro designed platformers. if an enemy is tough in a game nowadays the devs release a patch that makes it a joke. "make the game easier or people won't keep giving us money" seems to be the mentality.
I was expecting stories from devs talking about how they had trouble with their games. I think I recall one of the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes devs saying they could never beat the Boost Guardian (which I can understand, as that boss is fiendishly hard, especially on a low percent run). Stuff like that. This was just a list of hard games that we're familiar with, but nothing really said about the devs themselves. Also, why does the footage not match the text showing the name of the game and the platform it was on? The text for SMB: The Lost Levels was superimposed on the original JP SMB 2, not the SNES re-release. The Battletoads footage wasn't from the NES version either, nor was the Ghosts 'n Goblins footage.
I have beaten contra. It was the first game I played when I was a little kid. Aliens are your enemy and the last level was to destroy the Aliens core, it was a little disgusting
Creators have a job; Creating the game. All content on high end shouldn't be doable for most creators. But some of the players will do it if it's possible.
I wonder how does Driver 2 stand compared to these games. I remember it being next to impossible to beat that game. Also Gran Turismo driving licenses are pretty hard to beat on gold, but I guess the rest wasn't particularly hard. Same as TimeSplitters 2 challenges for platinum.
There were a lot of errors. Ninja Gaiden it said SNES, but shows NES game. Battletoads said NES but showed SNES.. lots of stuff like that. The biggest issue is that there wasn't anything dealing with developers not being able to beat their games.
I wanna be the guy was actually so popular it spawned an entire sub-genre of platformers called "fangames". I wanna be the guy is considered about a 2 or 3 out of 10 in difficulty with respect to fangames and arguably the pinnacle of a nice blend of insane difficulty with good level design is i wanna kill the kamilia 3 and that game blows all of these out of the water.
who agrees that street fighter 3 arcade dificulty was hard. the 3rd difficulty was called impossible and there was about 30 odd levels (27 - 32) after this.
I have to say, I think Dark Souls isn't difficult, but extremely fair. First timers might see it as difficult, but once you've actually played it, you start to realize that the game punishes you fairly.
Cereal True. All dark souls games and bloodborne are easy as hell.
I reported it for that reason, "spam/missleading" you should do the same
Jesus Christ stop saying sorry hope your not a fucking dude
@@thelegendkillersshittyduff1335 What do you mean?
Dark souls 3 was honestly easier than the previous souls games in my opinion
Taco Geez same
J E F F I felt parrying was overpowered in bb . ds1 is still the hardest in my opinion
Taco Geez your experience makes it easier
Indeed. If you never played the first 2 the 3 would be difficult.
Yeah, the bosses felt really cool but I never hit a brick wall with any of them like I did in the other games
Roses Are Red
Violets Are Blue
I Just Got Clickbaited
And So Did You Too
Clickbait title. This is unprofessional. The developers absolutely completed these games otherwise they would have never been released. Just make your title "10 most difficult games"

Damn nick u were mean 3 years ago lol
TBH I'm glad some games are hard because what would life be if all games were easy to beat ?
A life with less broken hardware.
Justin Jake Ashton lmao true
Life is harder than any video game ever created

>dark souls above any NES game
Well you got me to watch most of the video, but my bullshit senses just went off there.
unapologetic asshat haha yea battletoads was the worst but best at being challenging
unapologetic asshat Darks souls Challenges are extrem hard.
Mogli Dogli I still haven't played dark souls yet but it does look like it is extremely challenging
Hunter Metrejean dark souls is easy. It's just unfair. Just roll, hit, roll, hit, roll, hit. It's fun though.
roll,hit...what about stamina!
Enough fucking click-bait.
Raptorzesty there isn't any..

NG2 definitely is a great hack n slash although NG3's razor edge edition is really cheap.
I ended up finishing ninja gaiden black's master ninja difficulty setting in just over 38 hours. I ended up destroying 2 Xbox controllers in the process.
KHAIKAGE I never had the chance to play sigma plus because I don't own a PS3 or 4. Are the White Dragon Knights in it by any chance?
Dark Souls 3 the hardest game? Git gud scrub

Aside from the DLC, Dark Souls 3 isn't that bad. (Seriously though, fuck midir...)

no idea how i beat battletoads and ghost n goblins, it was srsly hard, especially ghost n goblins

The ghosts and goblins was the arcade version. I have no idea why he put that version up but listed it as the nes one.

Me : Hold my beer....
What about Xcom? that game can be very hard when it wants to be.
Shrub Man 99% chance, misses

One of the hardest games ever is probably Dustforce. When you made all level complete you get access to hard ones, which are just insane.
Contra was not hard. 😝
yeah. i beat the game without dying once. it was just slightly harder than most average games, certainly not worthy of the title of "even the developers couldn't beat"
Sagar Halder i still got that game on my ps2
Sagar Halder dude my mom would to
Gabriel Macaluso lol it was never released for ps2
Don't know about others but played it in Nintendo
Getting good at FTL is one of the most satisfying things. I think that's the game that made me enjoy roguelikes.
lol Dark Souls 3 is a lot easier than the others I've finished it 34 times and I'm still going
Ashen One Harder than 1 yes. Have you ever beaten Midir in NG +7 fists only?
Mogli Dogli that is not the regular difficulty. Okay maybe ng+7 is built into the game, but fists only is a user handicap. I can make any game challenging by doing things like that. I love souls games btw, ds3 being my second favorite
yep,you cane asy make the easiest game harder than dark soul if you add handicap it's stupide to add then say dark soul is hard, when it really isn't hard the way it's meant to be played
i will admit that mario lost levels was hard but to know the devs couldnt beat it makes me feel like i accomplished something pretty badass , thanks

LEGENDARY.

hahaha that game took hours out of my life to beat but I actually beat the game on legendary after what seem like F.O.R.E.V.E.R!

Quitch Quitch I have it. Haven't had a lot of time to play it with college and all.
Volgar the Viking is hard and each level you play there's new enemies and traps so it forces you to feel like a noob every second you play

Good Day Sir! Great video; Keep up the good work mate!
Still remember, finishing Contra with 30 lives left.
disgusting speculation on ds3. it is the one that lacks the most replay value and its the easiest because healing and rolling are free candy.
normalguycap Dark Souls = 4 flip rolls Dark Souls 3 = 12 rolls and a heal.
Are you trying to say you beat this game on your first try?
normalguycap 3 is harder than 1. And if you make a fist only Challenge Midir, Gael... Spear of the church are extrem hard to kill in NG + 7. It took me hours to kill Midir
@Lizren Arts You didn't?
TheSynthesizer ... Don't lie you died a lot.
There is a free flash game called "The Flowering Nose". It only allows three lives for the entire game, with no level saves.
where is resident evil 2
SWPxPhillyx215 more like Resident Evil 1 and 3
Subbed...
U got a British accent and that's why I'm subbing lul...
And of course your videos are really fun to watch

That's gotta be the ultimate insult. You can't beat your OWN game.
The fuck was that gameplay at the start, im pretty damn impressed.
Can you do a "10 games where you can control the undead"? please they are really hard to find.
Dude
I'm pretty sure the developers were able to beat these games if they were released
what motorcycle game was that in the intro? someone please lmk🤦🏾♂️
Games, that I've never managed to complete were dark castle and cannon fodder, both for the Amiga 500+. Many many moons ago...
Hearing that FTL is meant to be super hard makes me feel better about being so shitty at it
I'm sure developers *can* complete their own games. In fact I heard DS3 devs has tested the game difficulty by completed without any armor or leveling up.
I think F-Zero GX is a great honorable mention cause if you can endure that game your a legend.
Why does it say most difficult games developers couldn't beat but isn't one mention of a developer playing the game.
I had Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 (NES) when I was a kid and remember screaming at the TV in frustration many times. It was a love/hate relationship with those games. ;)
Dark souls III is the easiest souls game by far in my opinion. Suggestion: put Nioh on there!
Xcom has a pretty brutal AI
Gradius was so hard, the Konami code was made for it.

Good video
When i was playing Dark Souls 2:Sotfs i was screaming because there where some bosses that i couldent even touch i even break my controller once when i was fighting The Smelter Demon 😂
They make their games way too hard for them. The lowest difficulty can't even save them.
The more hard of this game, more unending fun it is. if one gamer beat them on video will become famous.
Pretty sure FromSoft easily beat their own Dark Souls
then there's Killing Floor, where Hell on Earth is literally designed to be hard enough that the devs cannot beat it.

Ohhh, how many hours I've spent on Contra in my childhood.
not surprised by the number of old games or retro designed platformers.

its hard to imagine miyazaki not beating his own dark souls game. Change the title bro
Contra/Probotector wasn't too bad. I clocked the game three times before I finally used up all my lives.

Contra was hard? I forgot most of it, but I most certainly remember beating it with my dad in my early childhood.
I was able to beat all of these games after using 5-7 controllers, mice, keyboards, and laptops
Dark Souls 3 is hard? GIT GUD and don't forget to PRAISE THE SUN!!!
Also known as bad design, but a bunch of tryhard nerds will start saying "git gud"
There were a lot of errors. Ninja Gaiden it said SNES, but shows NES game. Battletoads said NES but showed SNES.. lots of stuff like that. The biggest issue is that there wasn't anything dealing with developers not being able to beat their games.
This is the same video you posted last year?
DMC, Dark Souls 3, Mario, Contra - easy-peasy
Contra great memories are coming back again.
