Whoever goes through with this, i applaud your patience!
I know... Right
Look good though, but me I just buy prawn crackers and it’s take me 5 minutes 😂😂😂
Exactly what I was thinking watching this! 😄
Hm
There might be a faster method ..
For example exept drying under sunlight ,it could be dehydrated in an oven ,on the themp 120'c for about 3 hrs..
I know it takes long time to get a bunch of proper chips haha
You know, there are people who enjoy making things and food by their own hands even if it takes longer.
I say the same thing to my mom. My mom gets angry when I do something that takes time. But for me it's all about doing something new, perfecting it and let others try it. It makes me really happy. I really don't care if it's easy or not
I agree👍
Same here it makes me feel better😊
I love to make things from scratch the old fashioned way. It's a hobby. I know that to the majority of people this is fun to watch but would never try to do it but to some it is relaxing and interesting. I collect old recipes , it's fun for some, I guess.
Yes
Finally, we all have time to make this!
This music makes me want to hug a sack of potatoes.
😂lol
Tqvvmuch, i need to crack up laughing out if this pandemic... Hug more bags of potatoes 🤣🤣🤣
Ain't nobody got time fo that... Wait... Actually we do 😄
Lol. So true. 😆😆😆😆
😂 😂
As the matter a fact we Got plenty of time 😂
We even got time to plant the potatoes 🥔
😂😂😂😂
You can buy in supermarket for the covenient
@@mariahe1729 😂😂😂😂😂😂 yes indeed
Yes . It takes long time to ready & short time to eat. But interesting thing is ,we get know how it makes.
Stay positive!
Actually preparing does not take so much time. Only waiting requires. And this could be done in big amounts, stored and eaten when wanted. Why do these people have to complain every time, why the hell they are hurry in their meaningless times, I don't know.
Does it have to be tapioca flour I have all purpose flour
A delicious-looking snack that takes only six months to make. Lol...
If you have good hot sunlight ,then just bring some water to a boil, add a little salt, grate potato chips into the water ,cover vessel with a lid, switch off flame, let it rest 5min,then strain the water, lay the chips on a plate and dry in hot sun till they make a crack sound when broken, sometimes it takes two or three days,Store in a tight lidded tin and deepfry whenever you want, sprinkle with pepper.Sometimes the potatoes turn little grayish in the sun,if you are particular about color then add a pinch of alum to the salt water,
Geek The Girl it's 48 hours
😳🤭😟
ABSOLUTELY!!!
😂😂😂😂
What I love about these is once dried they can store for up to 6 months.
Y’all talking that it takes too long and you’d rather prefer buying them. First of all if you have time, preparing your own food brings you so much pleasure, second you’re avoiding all the crap that industrialized food could contain. But ironically enough you have time to write a negative comment for this video... be nice and just thank for the effort for the video.
Well said Raphael make by hand ....stop always wanting instant gratification !!
I agreed .. Its the effort. And that is what you called: " LABOR OF LOVE!". Bow!
Yes🙂
That's great.. But unfortunately when you work full time at least, such idealist concepts aren't always practical
@THE TRUTH IS HIDDEN IN PLAINSIGHT must be sad in your little world where no one is allowed to have anything u don,t have
My mom used to make these . I am pretty sure lots of moms made these chips. Thanks for reminding mom.
Is this how prawn crackers are made? It's really fascinating!!😊😊😊
I was just thinking the exact same thing 😂
Yes, prawn cracker recipe at mykitchen101en.com/homemade-prawn-cracker-shrimp-puffs-recipe/
The ones who are complaining that it takes too long, firstly most people now have the time, and secondly instead of making the small quantity they did in the videos you can double it or triple it, because you can store it later when it is dried and fry it when you want, and it’s healthy , I don’t think it’s a waste of time at all, and I applaud the efforts done in making this video, instead of moping or scrolling through your tiktok in this critical time you can entertain yourself by learning something new and useful.
Outside food has many ingredients... this is all natural although it takes long to make but if I have the time it’s worth it
There is a zero chance I'll ever make this but that frying part looked fun.
Started frying these potatoes crackers since the age of the 10 as they were super easy to make, taste good and they were almost for free.
i need to try making them
Wow, I could actually smell them when they were frying!
this is called transformation . for me is total good and i can have as many as i want
oh, thank you so much for posting this. this is the only recipe about i found here.
now i can go for my 2nd try. and now i know what i did wrong the first time.
thank you so much !
You better buy in the store a ready made
I absolutely love the music, snack looks great too 🦋
This is very common in india, our grandmom, great grandmom used to make chips like this, even in so many varieties like with potato, rice, sagoo and dont know with many more things. They made big sheets as well which called papad :)
They copy it looking at Indian cooking channels and term it in their own style
@@sanjayks1995 yes. The Chinese also eat papad in their villages.
@@Dave_en like how you eat maggi noodles in your village
@@sanjayks1995 I don't know if villagers eat maggi. There are plenty of villages which do not have access to branded eatables.
I live in Delhi, so it's available here easily. But I don't have special interest in maggi or similar products.
But I have seen Chinese making papad at home using traditional tools. They may not have copied from us. Some foods have duplication across nations.
This so good recipe. Nice sharing.

WOW... these look just like Munchos! Thanks for this video
Marc S that’s exactly what I was thinking of!
Now I know how to make potato crisp, even though it takes time to made this at least you enjoy what your doing. I will try also to make this. Thank you for sharing this.
The process wouldn't take that long if you had a dehydrator, I imagine
true
Chicharrones Blancos, awesome found a recipe
Most of the process is easy+fast or completely unattended. The only thing I can see being an issue for people is deep frying, but a lot of households do deep fry regularly so wasting oil would not be an issue because of reuse, and you could also minimize oil use with a wok pan for larger surface area with less oil. It's not nearly as bad as comments are making it out to be lol
I love it! Thanks! I will change sweet potatoes!
Now I know how they make that chip brand called munchos.
Also, right after you rolled and wrap that dough, I have seen people used a potato base dough for pizza crust. Yummmm.
Nice video.
I said the same thing lol I've often wondered hw they got tht texture, well now I knw lol
I did it twice , but I add green onion n dills , it taste even better , thanks for sharing
Sounds great!
My grandma makes it , it's so tasty

That’s why we’ve become addicted to convince and unhealthy food options. Back in the day traditional cooking took time and it was hearty and seasonal and good for you. It was fun too and cooking included the entire family. Now we have preservatives, packaged food, social disconnect- and food which doesn’t give us adequate nutrition.
Just buy rice paper sheets and fry them. It will take literally 1 second, you also get the almost-non-existant flavour
These chips looks tasty...thank you for sharing...
Is this why i see "dehydrated potatoes" on most ingredients of junkfoods
I think dehydrated potato is when an actual potato is cut and dried... but this is mashed and mixed with flour.
We are in "quarantine". Stop whining and use 2 days to make this!! 😑
