- This video shows the exhaust brake valve in action on my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 with 5.9 with automatic transmission. Installation and driving test videos are coming shortly. I believe this applies to years 2004.5 - 2007. Links to items used in this video:

I am highly considering this for towing a 2 car hauler up and down winding hills, should pay for itself in decreased brake servicing.
It should be quite helpful!!
Is your engine stock otherwise? I want to add one to mine, but my dad is worried it won't be able to handle the back pressure (until I build it) and blow
Yes, 100% stock. Give Banks a call. They are good to work with.
@@KensGarage1 Awesome thanks!
It's highly recommended to put 60 lbs valve springs to prevent valve float.
@@EngineKrahnicles That was kinda my thought, but I called Banks and even they said it would be fine stock
I'll probably still do it tho... What about head studs? Would those be fine stock?
@ashton4329 I'm surprised by that response. The guy on the phone doesn't know what he's talking about. The brake creates 60lbs of back pressure, so you need springs to counter that. Do the intakes too if you want to add some power. Poormans diesel is the cheapest I've found. I've found that the stock bolts will hold 25 psi boost. Stock gasket with studs will hold 40. No one ever said "man, I wish I would have stuck with stock bolts"
