- From far above the Earth’s surface, mysterious spheres of electromagnetic plasma rain down across the globe. Every impact causes massive power surges, destroying electrical systems, collapsing communication networks, and reducing anyone hit by a fiery sphere to a pile of ash. A small group of survivors led by a pair of sci-fi obsessed video store clerks must use their fanatical knowledge of the genre to ride out the chaos and find a way to save earth. Can sci-fi clichés really help stop the earth’s demise or is this really the end of the world?

I like the bit where the scientist gets his entire lungs and heart punched out of his chest at one thousand miles an hour. He then falls to the ground, and continues having a CONVERSATION.

if You liked this, rest of the movie might have been less funny. I mean the often repeated blast-effect on people getting struck by the beams is not so spectacular. But I agree, a hole through the chest with broken rips was really nice modeling was nice even if he would have stopped talking

It was a sci-fi fantasy. Unless you were completely batshit crazy, I don’t think anyone would want to see the destruction of the Earth, if it could be saved. Not even corrupt governments. 😂

The big stepped building where the resonator had been moved to was also used in two episodes of The X-Files (Paper Clip and Darkness Falls), where Mulder found records showing his sister had been abducted. It was a real mine, and is now the British Columbia Museum of Mining.

That was a good movie. Finally a good one which kept me captivated. A bit too many unnecessary fights, but overall a good sci fi. Well done, thank you!

Seems like a good start to the storyline. Judging by the comments it is worth a watch, one minor issue, I don’t think that the synopsis and the title are a match, I have seen the film described in the synopsis and this is not it.

Great entertainment
It is a good and exciting movie. But some parts are just annoying. Like when they stop in the middle of a pursuit to talk. But for the most part, I recommend you watch it.

Good sci-comedy, if you ignore the 45 bullet pistol magazines, the FBI agents that can't hit a barn with a handgun if they stand inside it, the good guy get smashed in the face with an iron bar, and doesn't die, and the shaky camera earthquakes!

The description doesn't match the movie... whoever wrote the description it obviously hadn't actually watched it. Good movie for it's type though.
Its a good job the one guy they needed was shot in the back after they were told we need him alive otherwise the movie would have had to have gone in a completly different direction...Like why did they even have their Guns off safety,jus the show of force from 5 Guns drawn on them from the back would make them stop.
