    • @GamaunVideo

The song "Dawn", which was performed by Dimash at the Chinese competition I am Singer, is dedicated to the tragic event that happened in the mountainous province of Guizhou in 1999. The tragedy happened on the funicular. Parents were able to save their 2.5 year old child by pushing him out of the booth, but they themselves died. Upon learning of this story, Han adopted a child.
The story was close to Han Hong herself, because she herself lost her father at the age of 6, her mother was a singer, and her grandmother was involved in raising Han.
In this song, Han reflected the story of an orphan, but also in it you can see the story of the singer herself.
    Daybreak
That's an autumn, the breezes were so sentimental
That reminded me of their helpless eyes
Just at that place with the beautiful scenery
I heard a loud noise echo in the valley
That was the autumn I couldn't see the face of my dad again
He used his both shoulders hold up the starting point of my rebirth...

That was an autumn day where clouds were unwilling to part
It makes me remember their helpless eyes
Right at that picturesque, beautiful place
I heard a mighty thundering shake the valley
Right at that autumn day, no longer can I see my dad's face
He used his shoulders to lift me into the beginning of my new life...

Dimash is a storyteller who uses his entire arsenal (technique, vocal range, body expression, style ...) as a resource to engage the audience in the story he is presenting! When we put the lyrics together, the story behind it, the feeling that it can awaken, then we understand that everything he does is not for personal exaltation, but to captivate and uplift what he is singing!

Dear Serene, do you know the real story of this song "Daybreak"? You know the song SOS, he used the original language French, other songs he uses Russian, English, Italian, Chinese or Kazakh languages. He always study the song to get into it, also the language and the best way of interpretation the story of the song. This makes him so believable and his fans, friends and community love him therefore. He always is the song itself giving feelings and emotions within. Therefore Dimash including his insane voice and registers allows the community to come with him to the journey thru the story of his song.
In the world we have a lot of wonderful singers with incredible voices, but Dimash is a specialist of voice range and creating a tone within live concerts. His register in the base is that of a bariton vocal fry, chest voice going up to the headvoice, falsetto of an soprano and whistle tones higher than soprano. His highest tone was a D8.

👉This song based on a true story. In 1999 14 people died in a cable car accident in China. The parents of a little boy lifted their son to safety, and they themselves died. Original singer and songwriter Han Hong later adopted the child. (There's a backstory video on Gloria Wu's channel.)🌼🇩🇪

Don't want to leave, don't want to hurt
I saw my mum and dad just go away like this
Leaving me in this world of strangers
Not knowing whether the future will hold any hazards
I want to tightly grab onto his hand
Mum tells me that there will still be hope
I see the sun rising, and mum smiles. The day is lightening.

This is a night with scatterings of stars
I see my mum in my dream
A person alone in the world has to be strong
    Don't go, don't hurt
I see my mum and dad just like this go away
Leaving me in this world of strangers
I want to build him a beautiful garden

The meaning of this song is so emotional. Dimash mainly sings songs with a special meaning, he’s not just singing a lalala song 😉 It’s really worth putting the English subs on for yourself. Dimash told in an interview when he listened to the original song as a child he was trembling over his whole body. Shows what an emotion he has in his body and he has the gift to make an emotional connection and transfer this in the way he sings. And we must not forget this song is in Chinese! Again not his native language and he sings it so well!!! But, although you sadly missed the meaning of this song, I did like your reaction to it, knowing you were not aware of the tragedy he is singing about. Please continue reacting to Dimash! I love to hear your professional knowledge and maybe next time with English subs 😉 Ogni Pietra is a must! But he has sooooo many masterpieces and brings in every song something you haven’t heard of him yet! Just out of this world!!!

If you researched the back story behind this song, you would for sure cry. It's a very tragic story.... :( His higher registers near the middle to end of the song is a representation of a child crying out due to the tragic loss of his parents in cable car accident. In the seconds before the cable crashes killing everyone on board the parents quickly lifted their child to safety outside of the cable car. And this song represents this tragedy from the child's eyes, crying out in pain.... :( I still love your reactions and perspectives on Dimash as a singer & performer. Keep it up!
If you really want to experience just about every aspect of Dimash's vocal capabilities, you should consider listening to him sing Ogni Pietra-Olimpico! Dimash told us about the tragedy, very emotionally, with a soul. He sang not just loudly or softly.

True test of other Singers will be who is going to attempt to do covers of his songs?
I don't think there will be any male singers because there are not enough top level male singers interested in the sky high falsetto range .....so it won't happen
I think some female singers will have a go ....I have heard some brilliant deep chested bearded tenor male singers who can do 90percent of what Dimash is doing ...but let's be honest he's a man for sure.... but .....as all the girls say..." he's pretty "and his petite Asian looks makes it easier to accept the female high register .
The men I know who are tenors it just wouldn't look right they are concentrating on the perfect Male vocal and a range that suits there personality as such .....
So Dimash you have carved a niche for yourself well done .....it's what you have to do these days to stand out .....do something with talent but unusual ...........

Great job Serene. Analyse de last song that Dimash give to us, tha name of the song is QARAGYM-AI, it is a tribute to his teacher, who died with COVID-19. You'll cry the whole song, but it's EXTRAORDINARY. Kisses from Portugal

I didn't realize that was a singer thing (I don't consider myself one, though I do love singing in general) - I'm CONSTANTLY out of breath watching Dimash, I can't seem to help myself from holding my breath when he does, LOL! I wonder how many of his fans end up fainting this way, LMAO!!!!

How many of us that don't speak chinese understand the lyrics the first time we listened this song, please be polite as Dimash is. Being a Dear is a word with a great meaning please don't dishonor it attacking new followers o reactors, every opinion is valid even we don't like it.

This song will definitely make you cry especially is you get the background information first, it was a tragedy. It was a cable car accident in 1998 the parents held their 2.5 year old child up to save him, the parents both died, total deaths 14 blood was all over the ridges, the child survived with a minor injury but was orphaned.

    Serene I
Like vocal coach you concentrate your attention in his vocal cuality and your did a great job in this song , but unfortunately this song was about performances and the expression of pain of Dimash for losing his parents , a true history , in the singer he was sick but he tried his best in order to respect the meaning of the song ,By not knowing his history and the lyrics you lose the 50% of emotion . When a Dear here write “ nice react “ he or she try to be polite becouse you’re analysts of vocal , but be sure that most of us aren’t satisfied. For me it’s OK becouse you didn’t know the history behind the song. . Greeting from Greece

This song is not about Dimash losing his parents. It's a song about someone else losing their parents. Dimash's parents are alive and well.

@@clfoster82 that was I said , he performance like he was the baby o child that loses his parent , , not a simple singer who sing to someone who has losed his parents
