At the moment of life and death when the cable car crashed, the parents lifted up their children, shaking people“s hearts! A cable car tragedy, where both parents died but saved their young son at the last minute with their last ounce of life holding him up. It's extremely heart felt.
This is a true story. Small boy (2yrs) and parents on a crowded cable car that breaks and seconds before it plunges down, the parents hand their child up to safety. This is written by Han Hong, a well known Chinese singer/songwriter, who heard of this story and wrote the song from the child's perspective watching his parents fall to their deaths. She then adopted the little boy. This is so heartfelt and wonderful. It is one of the best performances ever. No one but Dimash could do this. More Dimash please :)

@@giovannigio3764 Yes, he is Terry Lins adopted son and Han Hong adopted him as his mom. I believe there was a show both Terry and Han Hong were on and when Dimash told her Terry was his adopted father she about flipped out. It was funny. Dimash and Terry are close friends that bonded duriing Singer 2917 when Terry Lin supported Dimash who was in a new country, different culture and could not understand the language. It is a long and difficult process for him, but he is learning Mandarin bit by bit. English, while difficult with his accent, is a little easier for him to learn. He is learning both side by side. He learned if he could not speak Mandarin, English was a good second language in China. Plus, God willing and the politicians don't kill us all, he will be coming to the states for more studies and to perform. I was lucky enough to see my first live Dimash concert in New York where he had his first ever USA Concert. It was heaven.
The intro to the Gloria Wu treatment of the performance on Singer 2017 not only has the back story to the song, but also covers how Dimash lost his voice the day before having to sing the song, and shows him getting an injection to his throat. It also shows Dimash getting a phone call from Han Hong. The lyrics and mood make more sense when you know the tragic circumstances behind the song.
Everything everyone said about the Cable Car accident and that Han Hong adopted the 2 year old boy is on point. I just want to add that also Han Hong came to really like Dimash during the Singer Series and she calls him her 2nd adopted son. Dimash is so endearing that even people who come into contact with him professionally seem to attach themselves to him in an emotional way. Many of the singers on that show in China have become close to Dimash. Terry Lin also is gained the nickname Papa Lin by Dimash and they are close. Jam Hsiao and Dimash are like brothers. And Li Jian went out of his way to buy Dimash this super expensive Chinese medicine when he lost his voice on the show. And, He referred to Dimash as his little nephew. All his fans are protective over Dimash as well. It's interesting that he has that effect on all of us
Also Li Jian said that every performance in the competition is a piece of fine art. He was the youngest one and far away from his family. He looked very vulnerable at a time. Plus his loving personally hard to resist. So many of them felt some maternal/paternal effect.
The theatricality and stagecraft are powerful. Do you see how it looks as if he is commanding the fountains to rise and fall with his gestures and voice?
Very sad song. Thanks for your reaction. I agree the word “daybreak” here is sad rather than optimistic. It brought the end of his dream of seeing and hearing his father and mother. It might also refer to how the child never saw his parents again after that starry night. This song brings tears to my eyes when I listen with the english subtitles on. Dimash sings them so heartfelt.
I fall on the side of sadness. For me, it is an intense heart-wrenching story of a young boy losing his mother and father as they sacrifice their own lives to save him. It is bittersweet in a sorrowful way when his mother mentions daybreak.
I love your reaction , Dimash is the only one that I follow every day, his songs are always truly touch me, I dig every song that he sings, never disappoint me yet, love his Kazk native song very much.

It was great performance ,amazing , I think after this performance he had some problem in his knees, he is ok after . Thank you again and again for reacting to Dimash .Dear Nina🌹
The first time he was performing this song at the show SINGER, he was sick. There was a problem at his throat. Even so that performance was impressive. With this Bastau performance of Daybreak, Dimash showed his real potential on this song.
I couldent belive his voce and performence in the singer competionen was so dam god when he lost his voice the same day!!! He dident know if he could sing when he went on stage!!! He found the voice when he started singing. Also the contestens backstage was worreyd for him and they showed that to. When he started doing high notes !!! Wow. The doctors told him not to sing high notes!!! After he had so mutch pain that he lost his voice again. He did that show knowing he could really heart his voice doing it!!! Thats the kind of man he is! Also in the mist and sorrow of his voice I must say this was the perfekt song for that problem...it added texture and sorrow in a way. Offcourse I dident whant him ta have that problem though.
Thank you for your reaction to one of Dimash's staple songs and performances! Nice reaction it's very emotional song and he grasp it perfectly, i think you will like to react to his version of the show most go on next it will be great i think
Dimash is a master of expressing emotion in song. Daybreak in this context is tragic, as it was the time of day that a child's parents lifted him to safety as the cables on a cable car broke. He was saved; they were lost. Imagine the young parents trying to put on a brave face for their child; the fear and loss that the boy felt---all expressed in Dimash's passion. Makes me cry every time I listen to it. He is an outstanding vocalist, a superb performer; and a truly generous and humble human being.
I think both point of views have been brought together by the song writer. Bc yes the boy has lost his parents yes they sacrificed their lives for him but the boy stayed alive & could see the day light which is all that matters for all parents, to keep their child alive & to give all they have to protect him. So we have lost & love together in this song. And Dimashs strong interpretation of it is so heartbreakin & exciting at the same time. Great analysis enjoyed watchin u. tnx
In this situation “daybreak” isn’t positive as this song is written from a point of view of a real boy. He was in a cable car accident with his parents who’s last instinct was to save him while they didn’t make it. I guess daybreak was the silence or the settlement after the accident. The original singer and writer adopted that boy.
_Daybreak_ is hopeful, though. The parents died so their child could experience another daybreak. Daybreak is not just the sun rising, it is more _time_ and more _life._ Hope isn’t always happy, warm or easy to accept. In this song, hope takes the form of another dawn for a child without his family. Perhaps it would have been easier to die with them rather than enduring their loss. Faced with that, hope can be a terrible burden.
It actually makes total sense to me (her duality interpretation.) Yes, it's sad, of course, but it's also positive in a way... At the end, the kid was saved and had a whole life to live thanks to that sacrifice.
This is the ultimate song of hope. Hope is meaningless without grief. Of course there is intense pain. The pain is in line with the ultimate sacrifice made by the parents. A reflection of the the ultimate selfless love. The Mother's sacrifice is meaningless if her child does not survive and have hope.
Get used to the knee drop! LOL! You've already seen it in Adagio. Dimash's fellow competitors got worried for Dimash during the 2017 I Am Singer competition and gifted him with some knee pads!!!
The true story of this tragedy is phenomenally performed by Dimash. The boy in the song is seeing his parents falling away in a cable car accident. It is a true story. It is so powerful and speaks to me every time I watch this video. Amazing😘😘😘💁🏻♀️
Daybreak in this song is the dawn the beginning of a new life for the toddler. The point in the songs story where the toddlers last vision of his mother looking back at him, smiling as his parents are falling away is both his mother's happiness of knowing that her child is safe & her unselfishness (ignoring her own impending terror) inorder to leave her young one with a pleasant vision of her not being fearful of moving onto what is coming next, setting a good example to the end.
Nina there are some songs, this is one, "Autumn Strong" & "Daiddau" are others, that you really need to understand the Back-stories Before you react. Otherwise you're missing the fact that the song is the story of a boy loosing his parents before his eyes. The incredible emotion (that only Dimash can do justice to) is the cry of a child for his mother and father. You need to either watch the Gloria Wu versions which includes which include the Back-stories or Google the Back-stories before reacting. It's only then that you will fully understand what an incredible storyteller Dimash is, and why the "Dears" shower him with flowers everywhere he goes. 😊🏴👍
I really loved your reaction, unlike other vocal coaches you really know your music and loved the drama you put into reacting. Dimash is amazing. I love this song Daybreak first heard on the Singer 2017.
For someone who didn°t know the meaning of the song, you did an amazing reaction. It certainly is a sad song, because it is such a sad story, but it finished well. Han Hong, who adaopted the child and who wrote the song, gave this little boy a daybreak.
I really love the way you react to Dimash, you are focused on technical aspects of the vocals but also with artistic appreciation you comment on the overall performance. Good job Nina!
Have you done Dimash Opera 2 he sang in a chinese talent show? It's beautiful ❤️. The one his father was unknowing to him in the audience,. He was having a blast with the audience 🙂✌️
The story of this song is related to the real sad event from which an orphan lost his parents due to cable car accident. Yes, it does convey both optimism and sorrow. Optimism for the fact that the person who wrote the lyrics, I think adopted the child. Also for the fact that the loving saved their only child who was then adopted. Sorrow for the fact that 16 people perished in that accident out of 36 people on board. Dimash conveyed the full emotions for the audience, which is a rarity.

Thanks Nina, for your reactions to Dimash!......I loved. .......Dimash is the most beautiful voice in the world. With unusual vocal power, the notes of the piano do not cover his registers. He is unique ......greetings from a Mexican Dear!......❤️👏🏻🇲🇽🥰🇰🇿
The parents in the true story died but they saved their child, and their child was adopted by the writer and original singer of the song. Daybreak is both sad and optimistic here, symbolizing both grief and hope. The line "do not leave; do not hurt" in Chinese was also used to both effects. The first time it was the child begging his parents to not leave him alone in the world. The second time it was his mom in his dream telling him not to give up on life and not to hurt his new family.
Thaaank youu very much for this reactionnn !!!!! Is one of the most beautifull songs that Dimash did!!!! Next.. Autumn Strong 😊. Your videos are the best on vocal couch reactions !!

When you read the background story of the song it'll make more sense. It's about a real life story of a child who lost his parents in a cabel car accident where they sacrificed themselves to help him.
When you know the tragic story of this song, it is simply amazing how Dimash gets used to the role of the son of his dead parents. If he wasn't such a singer, he could well have achieved an Oscar in cinema. I don't even understand why there is no similar award for vocalists for their role. After all, no matter how much you listen to this performance without tears, it is not possible and you believe that he personally was on that cable car.

The Song is based on a true Story, an Accident with a Cable Car in China, the Parents could save their Child but not themselves.
This man got the power to make me love song that i dont even understand, let alone heard
The change you spoke of is a demonstration/parallel of night changing into morning as the name of the song leads you onto that.
I had stopped getting surprised with Dimash. This guy is a performance master
Dimash singing is God's gift to mankind all ranges high low awesome a talented and hard working singer great reaction from new Zealand dears
He is wonderfull, the best....🇰🇿🇨🇱
This is the sad true story. Appreciate Han Hong the song writer who adopt the child and Dimash who bring the song to another level.
Yes, I really dislike cold reacts generally! It's a bit lazy, reactors MUST do at least a minimum of research! to honour the artist.
Dimash Kudaibergen - Across Endless Dimensions ......new song
Dimash superstar⭐️🌟🌠Dimash World star 🌎🌏🌍 super beautiful song 👍👍👍👏👏👏🙃🙃🙃🙃thank you sister 💗💗💗😷🏠
Looove your Dimash reactions Nina!! 💛💛 Thank you so much! 🇦🇷
I really love the way you react to Dimash, you are focused on technical aspects of the vocals but also with artistic appreciation you comment on the overall performance. Good job Nina!
I havnt heard this song from him til now, so good!
This song always makes me cry, the love of parents that sacrifice their life for the child’s live, 😭
Have you done Dimash Opera 2 he sang in a chinese talent show? It's beautiful ❤️. The one his father was unknowing to him in the audience,. He was having a blast with the audience 🙂✌️
Thanks nina! Dimash is amazin ✌💕
Look up the history of where this song came from as the songwriter also adopted this child themselves after they were orphaned. True story
Look forward to and love your perspective and insight. Keep 'em coming
PLSSSSS make more dimash reaction video
Nina, PLEASE make reaction to dimash screaming Idol Hits
Beautiful reaction content. Please do listen & react to Dimash new song which is part of the OST for Creators:The Past. It's entitled "Across Endless Dimensions", Dimashs vocals are superb.
Please make a reaction to a young, very popular singer in world. Videos from this singer collect hundreds of millions of views. This girl is now only 16 years old. She has a very unique, very deep, clear voice.
Dr. Marc Reynolds (Voice Teacher, Stage Director, Performance Coach and Consultant, and Acting Coach) said about the performance of this girl:
Really really exceptional! Even if you ignore her age, even is she was 10, 20, 30 years older, this is still a really exceptional performer here that we're seeing. But at her age, unbelievable. Really really exceptional! Absolutely gorgeous! And again, not just because of her voice, because her performing, watching how nuanced and engaging her performance is. Ah, it's just so stunning. It's absolutely amazing.

This is my favourite performance ever by Dimash, just love everything about it ❤️
You should react asap to his new song about this pandemic, just came out!! It's called we are one. Thanks 🙏
I emplore you to watch again with subtitles or the Gloria wu version. I believe Dimash does not take lightly his song choices. The meaning and background of these songs alone brings me to tears
... full of power and feeling.
This song and Autumn Strong You'd hear with Gloria Wu's version.
Nah she tuned down Autumn Strong a half step so it sounds weird
😏
Thanks Nina, for your reactions to Dimash!......I loved. .......Dimash is the most beautiful voice in the world. With unusual vocal power, the notes of the piano do not cover his registers. He is unique ......greetings from a Mexican Dear!......❤️👏🏻🇲🇽🥰🇰🇿
the song is the cry of a boy who looses his parents, and daybreak is him waking up from a dream he has of his dead mother...its a painful song
Yeah same here, this performance always gave a goosebumps, every times I heard Dimash singin this song, greeting Dears from indonesia 😁
The whole song is a big cry of a boy lost his parents. And Dimash really delivered and showed all stages of grief, all the emotions, drama, sadness. Extraordinary really!
Спасибо большое Нина за твои искренние реакции на лучезарного ДИМАША. ДИМАШ любую песню превращает в шедевр. Nice reaction. Bravo, bravo, bravo Dimash. Respekt Nina. Привет из Казахстана
When you read the background story of the song it'll make more sense. It's about a real life story of a child who lost his parents in a cabel car accident where they sacrificed themselves to help him.
Thanks as always! Also your doggy pillow is splendid
Yes, Everything you say!😁😁😁😁
Hi Nina. Wanna see different Dimash? Screaming from Idol Hits. You won't regret 😎😎😎
I'm from Vietnam ,hi everyone 😅
I hope you rewatch this some day with no pause
