Okay one of my favorite things about her is how she sometimes repeats herself during her videos “two numbers here, two numbers here..” honestly thank you because my brain is imploding with precalc so the little repetitions really help. ❤️
The only teacher who shows what an answer means and what happens in solution. You are the type of teacher from which a student can learn how to use this in real life Thank YOU!
I think this just became my favorite math channel. The ability of writing backwards, her calming tone and voice, her examples and graphs, and the way she explains everything
I have been struggling on a paper trying to find a video that could explain the content to me for days. When I found this channel everything was just so much easier to understand. I am so thankful for these videos. Thank you!
Congratulations! You did not get affected by the rush that some professor teach math. I love that you do not assume that everyone knows how to factor and give a refresher unlike some professors that say you should know how to that.
This is a really effective lesson that gets straight to the point in demystifying vertical asymptotes, and dealing with holes. I wish I had seen this before my last exam over this stuff... outstanding work!
Nancy Pi is by far the best math teacher I've ever encountered. She explains in detail and shows examples and reasons why. America needs math teachers on this level if it expects to have its people lead.
Your videos are amazing. As non native english tongue, I can relate to your words. Because you always easy common words to describe. Other people often use shakespeares level rich words which make the matter more complex
Thanks Nancy! I've watched a few of your videos to help catch onto some basic stuff for college algebra quickly. You are a natural educator! Love the see-thru board for visual reference and your approach to the material. You know how to make people watching feel like "relax... we got this!" Please keep posting. I plan on getting all my math knocked out with your videos! LOL
I wish I would've found this a lot sooner. I never took algebra or calculus in high school so this is all new to me, but your explanations of this are clear and is more my learning speed. You have helped me exponentially. Thank you Nancy!
i dont know what i would do without you. Dr-teachers in uni cant explain a simple thing when you explain the whole thing in couple of mins when they take an hour and 50 mins for a single idea and still people confuse to solve them lol.
Thank you so much for these videos, you are one of the best math teachers. I’ve just spent half a semester not understanding anything and it’s taken a few hours of studying your explanations to understand it. Wish I sat myself down to go through these before my first midterm
This was explained very easy!! I could never graph or understand how to graph lines of vertical asymptotes and solve the functions. This really helped me practice!!!
Unpaid Cringy Advertisement: Before I started watching NancyPi, I didnt know my asymptote from a hole in the graph. Now I wipe math problems all day long. Thanks Nancy! (cheesy smile). On a serious note. Excellent, clear, easy to understand videos. Thank you.
Thanks Ms. Nancy. If you are my Math teacher , I will become a genius. Math will not be a boring anymore. There are really teachers that are endowed with the gift of teaching. They can make mathematics more sensible that always relates to the reality not just somewhere inside the mind or in some space.
I think she knows the struggle so therefore sifts thru the bullshit and gets to the point and makes it understandable. Hats off to ya Nancy. I finally grasp this.
my 3rd video i’ve watched about how to find asymptotes, the other 2 videos before this one were male instructors, and it only took ab 4 minutes in this video for me to completely understand asymptotes. my point: women are powerful
Damn I get sidetracked easily. this whole time I’ve been trying to figure out what type of sorcery is this?! Are you writing inverted or backwards? Hmm is the camera inverted and your really writing with your right hand instead of your left ??🤔 maybe she edits it ?? So many question, only getting VA answers.
Rocket Science! When my professor hears that from me she knows I'm in Trouble. With Nancy explaining it. Well, it does make sense. Again I thank you for taking the time to do these tutorials. I just happen to be in College Majoring in Math!!! and I'm 68 years young. If I can understand it so can You !! Just Don't give up, but learn to take a break, and get back to it!!
Kk omg yes!!! Her voice is so soothing! ☺️ I actually have a math exam in the morning (8am) and now it’s 1am and her voice is making me so sleepy I have to stop studying and go to bed. 🤣
he he, slight error with the plot of f(x)=(x-1)/(x^2+5x+6), at f(0)=0 but at as x->+infinity, f(x) -> +0 from the positive side, so the graph goes up and though the origin and then comes down and approches the x axis as the horizontal asymptote. Whacky graph!
Nice. You're great. Example: (x^2+3x-10)/(x^2-4). Candidate of sindular points: x^2-4 => x = +- 2. Lim (x^2+3x-10)/(x^2-4) as x to 2. This limit is type 0/0. Use L'Hôpital's rule (with derivate) so Lim (2x+3)/(2x) as x to 2 = 7/4 (lim x to 2- = lim x to 2+). Point x=2 is not singluar. Lim (x^2+3x-10)/(x^2-4) as to -2 is not type 0/0 or infity/infinite (not use with derivate tricks). Lim (x^2+3x-10)/(x^2-4) as x to 2- = -infinity , Lim (x^2+3x-10)/(x^2-4) as x to 2+ = +infinity. Points x=-2 is singular. :).
Hello, great content! Great clear explanations! I have a question. What are vertical and horizontal asymptotes used for? Computer programming? Electrical/mechanical engineering? Thank you!

Wow! Unlike most math teachers, this one actually speaks like a human being and explains stuff in the way a human being can understand.
