- Construction of a large dock over a marsh is a ton of work and an ambitious Do It Yourself project. In this video I show how I completely rebuilt this extra-long dock from start to finish. The process involved deconstructing the old dock structure and building the new one in sections. Of course, there was tons of lumber to both move on and off the dock. This was probably the most exhausting part.
Lots of money was saved by doing this project myself however I did have some awesome help that I am very grateful for. A big thanks to @Oldbrickhouse

Did you use 2x8s for your joists and do you remember your piling spacing?
Piling spacing was 10ft on center at most. The joist were 2x8s.
Nice job...I guess it was a few bucks worth of lumber huh? 😬
Definitely required a few pieces of wood indeed
