We've gone through other periods of madness in our history, and when I see crazy people talking about executing members of Congress, I'm sometimes reminded of the Salem witch trials when innocent women were drowned because of mass hysteria. I know that sounds a little strange, and it was on a much smaller scale, but the townspeople were willing to execute women and men with no evidence, just the dreams and visions of some girls. A baby who was being nursed by one of the accused women died in jail. A 4 year old was shackled and imprisoned with her mother. Yes, it's different, but don't believe for a second that the mad crowd didn't really want to hang Mike Pence or kill Nancy Pelosi.
