Nobody should! I know it's been a rough few years and it's easy to forget things, but this guy bailed on everyone he was supposed to be leading during an unprecedented crisis. The ONLY reason he flew back was because he got caught. He didn't deserve that Senate seat in the first place, but he definitely doesn't deserve to get re-elected. Hell, replace him with another Republican if it comes down to it, but Texans are insulting themselves if they keep that particular clown in office.

Mike Lindell "We can't get our pillows over the border and I don't know why!" I dunno Mike could it have been the fact that the same protestors also shutdown the border crossing stopping yours and and other trucks trying to go between the our two nations? Also being held at the border for 2 hours isn't being detained, it's inspection; and if you sent a film crew or business rep over the border the agents have to confirm the paperwork for the reason of travel which takes roughly 2 to 6 hours if there are no problems. Not to mention Lindell's care package of free Pillows violates a lot of legal issues surrounding the protest and also really doesn't help the protests "cause" since they have been nonstop trying to prove to the rest of us that do not agree with them that they are a Grassroots Canadian Protest for Unity (bullshit) and not funded by American Far Right Influence trying to divide our Nation. So in addition to violating Federal injunctions set against the protest which could get Lindell in MORE legal problems, it is also a donation of goods to the protest trying to prove they are not actually a American funded far right black flag operation from an American Far Right Elite and Corporation.

Their demonstrations have not been challenged by authorities until they violated federal laws and moved from protests to public nuisance, the police have given several verbal and in some places even written warnings to leave or be arrested prior to making any arrests, and even then those authorities waited for injunctions before moving on them and those arrested have only been charged with mischief which is a light charge compared to what they could have been given (most didn't even have to be taken in for processing at the station). The PM has publicly stated he will not use Federal Police Authorities or Force to remove the protestors and leaves it up to the municipality's authorities and right to self govern and come to terms with protestors to willfully dismantle before making a move of that would be a show of force. Even AFTER protestors have made moves that could qualify them as domestic terrorists like shutting down border crossings, and stashing weapons and armour at one demonstration site the government still views these as acts of individuals and not the entire movement.
Yeah these protesters are SO oppressed and have lost so much freedom... the only time any authorities have made moves against them is when the protesters have done things that actually break the law, and almost every law they have violated has been around a lot longer then this pandemic. So please tell me what freedom they have lost?
Right to block major trade routes and borders and access points? Illegal before the pandemic.
Breaking Noise Ordinance laws and disturbing the peace? Illegal before the pandemic.
Setting up unauthorized structures or Shanty towns on Public/Private Property? Illegal before the pandemic.
Transporting firearms without alerting local police AND storing firearms in a vehicle? Illegal before the pandemic.
Child endangerment/neglect/abuse? Again Illegal before the pandemic.
It's also interesting that these protesters and groups that support them are generally the ones that complain constantly about "big government" and "government policy overreach" but what they are asking of the Federal Government is to remove all Federal/Provincial/Municipal/Private Company Mandates and make them null and void with a single sweeping Executive Act that wouldn't even go through the House or Senate and would just become law. Which is in and of itself would be one of the most authoritarian moves our government could make (might even be the most authoritarian thing in Canadian History since we seperated from the UK), and would be a TEXTBOOK example of big government and Federal government overreach on our rights to self govern at various levels already established in the Charter.
Please keep Lindell and his pillows in your country; we already have enough nuts in Canada!
