looking closely, you can see that the axe is made from another godzilla’s back spike. i imagine the bone handle and the leather wrapping are also made from a godzilla as well. goji recognized his own and knew he could charge up the spike. the axe in general was also just a really cool nod towards goji and kong’s ancient rivalry

That year, I was vacationing with my girlfriend in Hong Kong when I had the opportunity to witness a trio of monsters fighting, thankfully I was on the beach near Victory Bay so I wasn't trampled by them! Thank god!
