They should collaborate with Legendary to get better effects. Legendary's been responsible for brilliant movies known for amazing effects, such as Godzilla(2014,19,21) Kong(2017,21) Jurassic World, Interstellar, Dune, The Dark Knight series, Pacific Rim, etc.
To be fair these guys had much more time to cook these than the poor bastards making the Marvel vfx’s. Blame Covid and the over abundance of shit that came out this year and last year for the phase. That and TV shows have always had lower budgets than movies as well. Point is, they needed more time and money than what was given to them, something the team for the Transformer movies actually got.

If you keep saying that Bay only directed the scene,the music and CGI is of Steve Jablonsky and ILMVFX then take out the music and CGI outta the Avengers Assemble scene. That way you can also say that Russos only directed the movie but do we say that? Hard to believe that the movie is becoming to be 10 years old but the movie so far was a great piece of work especially of how well they used their CGI for their stunning and shooting performances.
In my opinion this is one of the best scenes in all of the Bayformers movies. Every action shot I can tell what's happening, who's who, and the explosions aren't too over the top. The characters actually have, well character. The way Iron Hide and Sideswipe work together actually makes them seem like part of a team. The CG animation is amazing and the designs for these decepticons is so memorable. This seemed like hope for the Bayformers movies... and then Age of Extinction happened.

I didn't even know this scene existed. Seems surreal looking at it with brand new lenses. Even Bumble and Optimus Prime had so much to offer in terms of how the entire storyline plays out.
His motto is exccesiveness. Everything about his movies, particularly the recent ones, are bloated, including in visuals; so I wouldn't use the term "gorgeous". The CGI age well though, but the credits are due to the special effects department.
But he doesn't write the movies...? While he is responsible for a considerable amount of the problems in these films, people tend to forget that he didn't write them.

Yeah I wouldn’t say biggest, all he really had going for him was that he was tough and was willing to vaporize chihuahuas. Which isn’t that far from G1 itself, seriously all that changed from G1 to the Bay movies is that 1. He’s willing to swear and 2. He wants to kill a dog. So yeah, in just about all material that contains Ironhide makes him more bland than oatmeal. Obvious exclusion being the IDW comics in which where he actually matters and has character.
I think this is peak visual effects. 100 years from now into the future, they won't be able to surpass this. It's perfect! Even that bit at the end 3:35. Freaking awesome

Crowbar, the one with the long dreads that look like tentacles, is one of my favorite Decepticons. He looks so badass running at 0:43 It's a shame that, as far as I know, he still doesn't have a figure that makes him justice

Killing off Ironhide was the biggest mistake they ever made. Hopefully they bring him back in the rebooted universe.
They Actually remained accurate to the source material. He died in the old cartoon movie so it’s cannon. It’s unfortunate but it’s sadly destined to happen. Still wish he put up a fight before death tho would’ve been badass
Yeah I wouldn’t say biggest, all he really had going for him was that he was tough and was willing to vaporize chihuahuas. Which isn’t that far from G1 itself, seriously all that changed from G1 to the Bay movies is that 1. He’s willing to swear and 2. He wants to kill a dog.
So yeah, in just about all material that contains Ironhide makes him more bland than oatmeal. Obvious exclusion being the IDW comics in which where he actually matters and has character.

1:40 The cgi and sfx are so good! This has to be my most favourite movie scene yet, especially when he grabs Sam and is transforming. It's just so realistic! Michael Bay is a perfect director. Dark of the Moon is best transformers movie so far.
