Laurel, you do such a good job with the camera. It helps make Kamon's videos so easy and fun to watch. Thanks you two for a great video.
Laurel says thanks Russ! She is a gem!
You're killing me, there you are in the 70s and here we are up to our *** in snow.
Same here, most of my hives are under a snow drift.
Ohhh good looking brood!🎉
Driving through Tennessee today from Iowa. Left a snowstorm behind, loving your budding trees and warm weather! We are so much later than you!!!
We sure love our Redbud trees! Happy Beekeeping and have a safe trip!
Great job as always, Kaymon! I share your links often to help educate newbies and not so newbies.
Awesome, thank you Jamie!
The Denver’s Mile High Bee club’s website has links to Kamon’s queen rearing videos. The Reynolds’s have become popular for good reason.
Thanks for the encouragement and the anticipation of our turn. It's still cold here in SW Oregon, it has been a very wet and snowy winter here, not a normal winter. Tomorrow just might get warm enough to get into my hives.
good to see ya back doing what you do so well Kamon!
You scared me for a second. I had to rewind. I thought I heard you call a queen Faye. I see you’re not naming queens though so all is good.
That is too funny Randy!! Lol!!! 😂
Exactly, no use wasting money on supplements when pollen is actively being brought in.
Exactly Ian. I just put my pollen patties in the freezer until our summer dearth here in East Tennessee.
My bees quit taken ultra bee pollen 3 weeks ago in Darlington S.C.
Salom uzbekistondan biz ham asalarichilik bilan shuglanamiz juda zo'r
Sometimes, you make "executive decisions." I don't think any of it sounded crazy! Great job, Laurel!
K&L, those girls are looking good and getting ready for the big flow. Thanks for the great video!
Good Job Kamon, Hives Look Great! Take Care
Enjoyed the video. Hives look great. Thanks and take care.
Excellent presentation. Great job!
Thank you kindly!
Looks great. Up here in Wis. we will looking at near zero again this weekend.
Nice brood in that first hive, gorgeous!
Very interesting and relaxing to watch you checking the hives. Seems that things are going well & with a bit of extra feed you will be set for a good April.
I enjoy your videos.
I'd love to see you do a chronological overview of a hive, and what you do at what time of year.
I would like to thank you for all of your videos you do on your inspections, and treatments. I just overwintered bees for the fourth year here in south-central Montana. The climate change from where you are to where I am is really different. Last night we had 15 degrees and today we have 27 for a high. So needless to say I can't go out and do any inspections. So watching you do your inspections, helps with the overwhelming urge to look at on my girls when I know I can't. Thanks again
Wow I’m really looking forward to spring, all my bees are still buried in snow
I already grafted 7 queen cells a and all 7 took. They should be hatching tomorrow.i already made the splits and put the cells in to hatch. I have 2 supers on every hive and the honey is coming in.jax fla.
I Thank Jesus for yalls informed videos, it's because of yall I didn't give up 7yrs of beefrustration ....now going strong finally and at yr 8 1/2. All your tips and timing has been everything. This will be my first year attempting grafting. One thing I ask, please mention exact day and time of video, I'm pretty much same weather here in taft,tn and I'm trying to stay on top of perfect timing:)
They are looking good
Very good video kamon. Thanks for sharing buddy. I've made a few splits here in NC. Wanting to make more soon. Thanks again!
I'm also trying one of motherlode box and black frames, those guys are awesome with customer service and products, I'm glad to see them building comb on yours, I just inserted mine
Yes I really like motherlode! USA quality!
Good educational video thanks for sharing
You must be in a valley with no wind, all of my tops would blow off down here in southern central Texas.
I have queens that went up in the winter patties and put drone brood in the winter fondant shim. That is the first time that's happened. Over winter in double deep, supper and feeder shim and she laid brood from top to bottom by March 9, 2023.
Unbelievably good bee weather in ky. I was just thinking about making queens yesterday. I have had drones for at least 3 weeks.
Looking good I'm in northwest Indiana and it is snowing maybe in a few weeks before we get into the hives
Good job👏
Almost all of my colonies had capped or almost capped queen cells. They were days from swarming. One was outside the hive ready to go and I just caught and split them. Too early for me!!! Charlotte NC
Im in Darlington S.C. and weather was warm last couple weeks but is fixen to get cold again and looking at my journals I am still just putting dry sugar on hive after I put the brood on bottom. Weather does change year to year but I've learned how it hurts to be to quick
Had to split some two weeks ago which already had charged queen cells and Tons of drones. Maybe the weather will hold til those queens get bred. Most hives will be ready for added boxes mid march. N.W. Ga.
Meanwhile here in California for the first time in years we are sitting through storm after storm waiting for a sunny day.
I don't run an upper entrance either. Love you're video's
Hello, what is the thickness of the walls of your boxes, hives, if possible, write in millimeters?
Hey Kamon, I looked at Mother Lode site and didn’t see the plastic frames. Are they not on the market yet?
I just put pollen patties on all 7 of my hives, 2 weeks ago. The winter bees are ending their life cycle. I just like to know they have it, if they need it. We have a few weeks of 30°s still
When you split your production colonies back, how many frames of brood do you leave behind and how many weeks is it till a heavy flow when you do it?
Where are you getting the bucket feeders? Did not pay attention to who had them at hive life.
Nature's image farms had them at Hive Life!
Those colonies with three deeps did you over winter those with the three or have you added them this year. In my out yard I am finding lots an lots of drones but my home yard has drones but no where the same amount. Thanks
Hi Kathy! I just didn't get around to pulling them off! left them on all winter long!
What part of TN? I am in Crossville.
Tell me about the sponges.
you are showing your inexperience:-))
Hey Kamon...I am wondering why you have inside feeders in the top box on some hives and on the bottom box on others..what do you feel is better? Im shifting to the Mother load feeders and want to place them correctly?....thanks also sayN Hello to Laurel Much Respect
Why don’t u use an inner cover? Also, why do u use migratory outer covers instead of telescoping covers?
Thx,
DS (SE OHIO)
What is the material that your using as an inner cover?
Reflectix from lowes
Are you worried about splitting the existing brood cluster (such as it was) by reversing the boxes? I must have missed a video. Why do you go through winter with 3 deep boxes?
I would not have reversed the hive. Kamon did it because he was comfortable with the weather being warm enough to avoid chilled brood due to cluster separation.
What do you call the stuff you use for an inner cover?
Hi Bonnie it is called reflectix. I got it from lowes
@@kamonreynolds thank you
46808. Started feeding then two weeks ago. Lost one , robbed out at 40*.
What is your main source of nectar in your area. Hardwood or farmers?
Hardwood
So why did you reverse boxes?
Come over here real quick PLEASE. Kammon
Just a question do you get people to text you at a 714 area code? I got a message. Telling me to. Let me know please, and if not let others know not to text then. Thks and love the vids, keep it coming.
Where can i get the oxalic sponges
Where do you get your oxalic acid sponges?

Closed captioning started with ‘Heinz Kamon Reynolds’

Still waiting for the cat to show up lol
Good video! Do you breed queens yourself? Thanks 👍 Ukraine

Will that organic treatment make your bees bigger and stronger? LOL
Where do you get those tin foil covers?

Good video Kamon. But, you guys down south are killing me here in Idaho. One day it is in the mid 50's next its frosty. Its also still freezing at night. But, I have seen the girls out getting pollen. It's so hard to not open them up. You're killing me smallls...;)

When? When will the snowbanks go away? I sure get impatient watching you play with your bees. Even Ian was saying he is anxious to get in his hives after watching you lucky southern fellas. 🥸🥸🥸
