I went in for a test drive yesterday and really liked the way it was comfortable and quick. I have purchased the m3 2024 RW Drive and it’s my first ev car ever! Glad to be a part of the Tesla community now :)
A full PPF costs between 3k-4k euros + tax. For this price you can paint your car twice or paint repair and polish several times. For good weather countries I think ceramic coating is enough. Not the same protection but enough and a lot cheaper.
I guess it depends - if you want your car looking pristine all the time, then yes, it's worth it - because even though I had the insurance on my previous car, it only looked pristine after the re-spray and shortly after, there were a few damages that appear. It's not a big deal, but the self-healing properties of the STEK paint is quite appealing - because this means the surface of your car stays smooth. It also depends on whether you do a lot of highway driving or not (and what the conditions of the roads you're driving on are) - the worst thing (in my opinion) about the white paint on the tesla is that the underneath is black (of the bumper), so it's really visible once you get a few chips and scratches which are inevitable...
I did PPF on my Highland after just 20 days and still three small rock chips, slightly visible, but still there before the filming. I also did the door thresholds and the front area of the rear screens (fenders) that can get rock chips from the front wheels, the rear bumper to prevent scratching from baggage and also the front part of the glass roof. Don't regret that at all. The car looks brad new now even after having it since 6 December. In Scandinavia with all the coarse gravel and salt on the winter roads it is a must if you want the car to look nice. Otherwise the winter roads really kill the paint. The cost was 1600 € and I think that is a small cost to save the car from damages.
Nice video. I looked into PPF for my white RWD Tesla and decided against it. Eventually the edges collect grime which on a white car will really show. A few stone chips can be touched up, polished then sealed, for a fraction of the cost of PPF. But I get that some people love this product and it does work well in protecting from minor chips and scuffs.
Great video. I’m planning to do it to. It’s worth of investment, because white paint is the hardest to take care off. Plus when selling the car it’s increas value of the car because of that fact that paint under it is still in new condition. 💪🏽
3 month owner. Black RWD highlamd has 5 paint chips and somehow a tiny scratch in the back. I don’t know what Tesla is using but its light as hell. I’m considering selling
For the full frontal, it was €1750 plus taxes, & Full body kits from €4000 plus taxes. This is with 200micron film from STEK. You can also just get the front bumper done and it will be slightly cheaper - I can find out from Yasha for you. Are you based in Portugal?
In the UK I believe that it's a modification that either makes the car uninsurable or very expensive because they consider it something which makes repair more expensive.
that's quite interesting, but if something happens to the film, you can just remove it... Unless the UK insurers want to add the PPF on so it's also "covered" (pun, lol!)?
can you do a video where you drive inside a car park? I want to know how the Tesla Vision is doing in regards to giving warnings. I've heard it bings and bongs a lot and the car seems to think it is in danger all the time
Keep up with the good content. Ordered a bunch of accessories for my Model 3 with your code on Yeslak. Taking delivery in a couple of weeks finally. Any chance you suggest/can do a video on cell phone mounts and any other interior accessories?

Thanks for watching! This is true, with PPF, you need to maintain the car often too to prevent grime and dirt buildup on the edges.
I picked up my M3 on Friday and will be getting some degree for frontal PPF 10 days after I picked it up. I hope I didn’t wait too long.
It should be okay as long as you haven’t done long road trips 😅

I did recently a roadtrip in my TM3 highland from Switzerland to Portugal and I got several stone chips like yours, I’m getting PPF too

How much did you pay for it? What is the cheapest option?

Does the bumper has quality? how did it cracked?
How much was it ?
I have a white Tesla and I am definitely not getting PPF. I love your channel though.

It makes sense to have your car in prime condition when you're making youtube content with it.
