I absolutely love the polk signa S2 espically for the noney i paid for it. Less the $150 & it rocks & gets rather loud. To bad its now discontinued cause really is a fantastic soundbar for the money. Great purchase
If people don't like the bass you can always tune the bass box with polyfill, add or remove by stuffing the box with more or less of it. Super easy to do.
I had just ordered this from Amazon to replace my Vizio V soundbar. My Vizio V soundbar kept dropping out no and noway to connect it to Chromecast because Vizio Chromecast doesn't work well on Mobile
Great video, man! I like how you played the audio test before installing the soundbar and after. The difference in sound is exactly what I needed to hear. Kudos to you and thanks!✌🏽😁
I have the same sound bar. For some reason my sub disconnected the wireless signal & can’t get it to re-sync. Calling Polk is pointless they barely understood what I was saying. I might just have to scrap it and get another sound bar. Maybe upgrade it to a better one. This one’s OK for the price, at least while it still worked.
I saw a few questions on hooking up more subwoofers with this, or any sound bar for that matter... Here is what I did. I have this S2, and I hooked up my two SVS SB3000 subs up to the TV for movie night. For general TV viewing, we still use the little sub that came with the sound bar. Real easy to hook up, you need a 3.5mm male plug with a pair of female RCA outputs (plugs) for two subs, or a simple 3.5mm male to RCA female adapter. You can use a wireless send/receive unit if you do not want cables on the floor. Emotiva, SVS and Dayton Audio sell them, there are others on Amazon for less, or simply use cables. You will use the headphone output jack on the back of your TV, that is where you plug the 3.5mm to RCA adapter in. It should be hot at all times, and will not interfere with your sound bar. Then either attactch the wireless sending unit you purchased separately or run an RCA cable. If you want a wireless kit and do not know what they are, just go to Amazon and search for "Wireless Subwoofer Kit", a bunch will pop up. They start at around $50 and up. A good one will cost around $100. And an RCA cable, Amazon Basics work great, you can get any length you want, they start at around $8 up to $20. On the sub, I had to install these, the FMOD Crossover Pair 50 Hz Low Pass inline filters. I attached mine at each sub. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006N41DS/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A3DMYIN9K0RYXC&psc=1 I tried using the internal crossover in the sub, but the way I have my system set up, these crossovers were needed to keep the subs from simply being speakers. These filters solved that issue, so only 50hz and below is fed to the subs. Try without and see if you can set the internal crossover in your particular setup, if the entire frequency range is going to your sub, pick up the filters. They run around $50 Hope this helps
Great question! No, the subwoofer connects wirelessly so there would have to be an auxillary connection on the included subwoofer, but unfortunately there's not.
I’m looking to get this as a gift for my cousin. Are you having any connectivity issues with the wireless subwoofer? This and the soundbar turning off after 15 mins seem to be the main complaints with this soundbar.
There are 3 different modes with varying levels of bass. One of the modes is bass heavy, one brings out the voices with less bass and the other is in the middle. I've not had any issues with to much bass. 😉
I connected it with an HDMI cable connected to the HDMI port on the TV labeled ARC. You can also use an optical cable connected to the optical out on your TV and the optical in connection on the sound bar.

Though I have a different Samsung model and a different Polk model than yours; I found your information very helpful. Thanks!
You're welcome!!
Thank you for posting, brother!
Thank you for watching!!
I have the S2 and it serve the purpose. Not upgradeable, no Atmos or bells and whistles but for a budget sound system, it rocks.
Agreed. It's not the best but it's good for the price!
The S4 will have atmos
Yea great soundbar for the $144 I paid for it. Sounds good & gets pretty loud. Been extremely happy with this purchase myself.
Man, came here for instructions on wiring and you fast forwarded through the only part that I needed.
Thanks for the comment though!
what cable did you use to connect ? arc? hdmi? fiber?
HDMI cable connected to the ARC connector on the TV.
@@ProjectDIY2 for some reason my arc hdmi is not working
@tman6568 I had to turn it on I n my tv settings
Thx!! This helped,God bless ya!!

@@ProjectDIY2 hey no problem! this helped me make a decision! I ordered the polk and can not wait!
How does it compare to LG SN4 ?
I’m trying to figure out how to disable the tv speakers Polk manual says that’s necessary for connection.
Hmmm, I didn't have to disable mine. Not sure why you would need to.

You my dude!!!!!😎😎🚬🚬🚬🚬You get to the point and highlight EXACTLY what I was researching for!!!
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words.
I lost audio, I need to reset it, tried hitting the + and - at the same time no luck. Tried unplugging it and still no luck.
were you able to fix the power saving issue?
No, it's pretty annoying.
@@ProjectDIY2 I thought there was a setting to hold the tv button for like 10 seconds or something? I havent tried mine yet just bought my unit
Not sure, I'll try that!
When I connect mine to the hdmiARC on TV nothing happened, no sound from speakers. I’m I missing something?
There may be a setting in your TV that you have to use to turn HDMIArc on.
@@ProjectDIY2 yup that was it thanks

Great info!!
Do you consider this soundbar loud as hell does it produce sound kinda low?
It's very loud. Sometimes at low volume the clarity is a little iffy as far as voices go. There is a mode that cleans up low volume sound though.
@@ProjectDIY2 which mode is that one
Voice Adjust 3
@@ProjectDIY2 so you mean when there’s no action in the move the voices lowers down
Can u add another subwoofer to it
Great question! No, the subwoofer connects wirelessly so there would have to be an auxillary connection on the included subwoofer, but unfortunately there's not.
What are the black circle thingys in the little baggie ??
It's been a bit since I installed this, but I think those are the rubber feet for the bottom of the subwoofer.
@@ProjectDIY2 no..it's not for that.. if you are planning to do wall mount then use that between the soundbar and the Holder..
What is the use of 2 rubber including in thr box i have also received but don’t know use of that 2 rubber with sticky tape on them
Good question. I had those also but I don't know what they were for. I threw them away 🤣
I’m looking to get this as a gift for my cousin. Are you having any connectivity issues with the wireless subwoofer? This and the soundbar turning off after 15 mins seem to be the main complaints with this soundbar.
Never had an issue. It does turn off after 15 minutes if there's no sound from the tv but it's never been a problem for me.
How does the wireless subwoofer connect?
It connects to the sound bar over bluetooth automatically.
@@ProjectDIY2 I find the subwoofer is so quiet
Link the youtube audio test please.
I added the link in the description.
Does it still work well with the Samsung? Samsung TVs seem to have the pickiest ARC and CEC issues.
Works perfect. I've not had any issues.
does it have excessive bass...???
There are 3 different modes with varying levels of bass. One of the modes is bass heavy, one brings out the voices with less bass and the other is in the middle. I've not had any issues with to much bass. 😉
Bass response is dependent on floor placement. It has low end rumble and boom.
Nothing about installation??
You didn’t say HOW to connect it to the tv….
I connected it with an HDMI cable connected to the HDMI port on the TV labeled ARC. You can also use an optical cable connected to the optical out on your TV and the optical in connection on the sound bar.
Speeding through the install doesn't help much as mentioned
Thanks for the comment though!
LOL.. apologize for the glare? Like the glare matters in a sound test and like the apology changes anything.
🤣 Good point 🤣
