One long necklace at the first table looked like amber beads. Even if it was costume I'd have nabbed it. 26:08 I had that nativity set; gave it to a friend for Christmas. As others have said, a collapsable "old lady" bag carriers would be useful. I know someone who buys them at estate sales and sells them at antique markets. Sells out every time!
Great video as always! Wow, those old photos sell for a high price! I hope you picked some up. I'd love to hear more about your story and how you gained all of your knowledge and got into the reselling business.
You're welcome to inquire, truthfully it sells so fast at shows I rarely get it to eBay unless for my monthly ebay bonus video...but if I still have something, I respond to email requests
Hi George, I have only been watching your channel for a short time. I discovered it from watching the Crazy Lamp Lady, that mentions you often. I'm learning a lot from watching you, which is very impressive. I'm in the early stages of becoming a reseller. So early, that I have not listed anything yet. I'm building my inventory, and still learning my way around the industry. I want to reach out to you via your website and find out about some of my finds. Thanks for the trip to this market. Much continued success to you.
I'm so glad you found me! Jocelyn is really kind to mention me, she's got an amazing thing going herself. I'm hopeful this will keep being helpful to you!
It might be a good idea to get one of those oblong grocery shopping carts with wheels. That looks like a really good place to go! Thanks for sharing George! 🙂 You are just so knowledgable about things! Love your channel! I don't get to watch a lot but want to go back and look at some of your videos! Really enjoyable!
Hi George! I’m enjoying this trip through the tables here. I just got to the Polynesian girl with the hibiscus flower. I love her. Have you seen the hobbiest version of her? I did several of them in the 70’s. As was common for me back then, I’d do one for myself, then end up selling it and going back to make another. In the end, I’d end up without one for myself. 😢.
Your Polynesian story is just like the one an old ceramics classmate of mine used to tell. She would either sell or give away to an admiring friend a piece she had made & have to make another for herself. Our classes were every Wednesday night in a nearby small town & were a great escape from the usual grind of real life & our workdays. Unfortunately, she is not alive today, as she bought a motorcycle & on her first drive out on it, a tractor-trailer hit her at an intersection & she died instantly.
I didn't know until this video that I can't live without the 1960s Lawrence Welk ashtray by Ceramacraft with the "Bubbles in the Wine" 45 on the bottom, because I didn't know they existed until you found one!! There isn't an episode I haven't seen. I have memories of watching it with my folks & both sets of grandparents. Did you by chance purchase that piece? As for bracelets, I have a tiny wrist and am only 5'1" to begin with & I hate finding a beautiful bracelet that's to die for that would slip off & hit the floor due to its size. I don't mind them being loose enough to enjoy, just not so loose I will loose the piece forever because I failed to feel it coming off & hitting the floor. Sometimes I do notice & when I bend down to retrieve my bracelet it's broken & if it's not sterling, it can't always be properly fixed. I LOVE "fashion jewelry" though & will never quit buying it!! But some bracelets I think were purposely made for "women with big wrists" while others were not. Hope this little story helps you understand the "big picture" when you purchase to re-sell. Your question mark pin was phenomenally cool. Another cool thing I would have HAD to buy was the first mounted bike light you found. I went silently nuts over it. Thanks for the video. It's one of my favorites!!
Oh how fun! I hadn't seen that ashtray either. It was must-see viewing with my grandma too. I'm sorry I didn't pick it up for you! I'm glad to hear that small bracelets have a home as well, my niece is also 5'1" and can wear some really darling pieces that would be lost on a big girl. I really had fun and I'm glad you did too!
@George that booth with the boxes I was just cringing prices were so high he will never sell all that in this last day of sale. He’s going to damage more than he sells so why not lower the price let these pieces get in in another persons hands so they can be loved. Mind you I don’t knock down selling out of boxes but if a person‘s got a dig through it mark the price is down a little bit. And it just breaks my heart when these beautiful antiques get broken that can’t be replaced.
George I have 3 Hull Stoneware USA drip glaze saucers Among other pieces of the drip glaze In my death pile.. LOL. We are not even gonna go to the death pile of costume Jewelry 😂 I love all the pieces that you bought beautiful ❤️
Good evening, George! That pin you're holding, in the thumbnail, is definitely a sparkler. I can just see a bit of an emerald green setting between your fingers that catches my attention, too. That old crucifix would've come home with me. I have an old hanging, hand-carved one. There were several pins in the box where the "?" pins were that I'd have liked to have to put on a piece of velvet and frame them as a wall hanging. I had to laugh when you said you were trying for the Green Drip saucers 😂 They aren't proving any too easy to find. I noticed a Troy Nesbit, teen mystery book there - "Sand Dune Pony". I've thought about trying to get a set of those books. I have several sets of teen mystery books. The Alfred Hitchcock series, "The Three Investigators", is probably my favourite, but the prices of some of them are eye-watering. I have the first 29 of the 43 books, but the latter ones will rip a hole in a pocketbook quickly. Flow Blue is interesting. The "flowed" pieces were considered "seconds" in England, and they were shipped to the U. S., where the people actually loved the "flow" look. The pieces that the transfer didn't flow were kept in England, where the people wanted the "good" pieces. That looked like a fun show to browse and make some great finds! Thanks for the take-along!!!
CP, you brought a smile to my face because the tale of the flow dishes was among the very first lessons I learned from George when I found his channel.
@@twistoffate4791 Oh wow! I'd like to know what video that was from. I'm sure George would have much more info on it than I'm aware of myself. I'd like to know which pieces/transfers "became flow blue" that weren't supposed to have. It'd be fun to have an example of a "good" piece and a "second", to show the difference.
@@CONSTELLATION_PEGASUS I have this idea that in order to learn more, to go back to the beginning of his channel & actually write down the details he shares about the various makers. I have watched all George's videos, but now my head's in a different zone & I want to write it all down. Once I do, I will let you know which videos. But it sounds like you are an expert yourself, as I have enjoyed all of your comments on this channel & make sure I look for you so I can find out what interested you. You & George are two of a kind in the antiques business.
I could collect a bunch of ? pins, surprised we don't see ! to go with them...I am so surprised how those Hull saucers are not available right now...I honestly never gave Troy Nesbit a thought, and I should, probably more exciting than the more widely known Hardy Boys...I'm a big Hitchcock fan but didn't know that series, I'll have to look for it!
Hi George, another excellent video! Looks like a great place to shop. Loved the lamps that were blowing in the wind! My absolute favourite is the French scenes bracelet, as I collect Eiffel Tower memorabilia! Will that one be listed on your ebay site? It was definitely calling my name! Thanks for always sharing your knowledge so freely. All the best from your friend, Sharon, in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. xo
I'm so glad to do it, and so glad folks in Australia find it interesting too! I think I still have the bracelet, send an email and I can make arrangements when I get back in town
Did that crucifix have a skull and crossbones on it? Always looking for them. Wow I paid 9 bucks for a Marwal VietNamese head at Savers on Black Friday! The church sign is very cool. I have a thing for odd religious pieces. And I would love to find something to do with the hay trolley!
Do you ever tell the dealer if you spot a fake? I could see reasons to tell, and reasons not to. A long time ago, I bought a fairy lamp tagged as Fenton that was made by Brooke glass. The same store had things marked Treasure Craft that were obviously not, even to my amateur eye. I’m cautious when I shop there now.
George you are such a sweetheart! I really enjoy your videos 😊
Thank you so much!
Oh George!!! ❤❤❤❤
I sure had fun too!
You must remember: "The Friendly Giant". Look up! Look wayyy up!
That's true! Some of the best stuff is overlooked up high and down low
Seeing breakables thrown in boxes makes me twitch!
Yes especially so unloved. We rescue all we can!
❤❤❤
The box with the numbered brass keys were for British shooting parties. The numbers corresponded to the guns in the gun cabinet.
Oh, very good to know! I've seen somewhat similar styles used as locker tags in old American industrial plants
It was great meeting you! Thanks for stopping by my booth! My husband & dog are such hams! 😂
Oh, it was so cool to get to show it off! I hope you have a great winter season until I see you next
WOW some beautiful things there. Have a great day
It is a great antique meet!
Hi George, I always enjoy your videos. I’m amazed at your scope of knowledge and information.
Hi my friend! Thank you so much. I will be putting out the video with you in it, but I wanted to wait until closer to the next show there

Oh thank you so much! I never forget whose been with me from the beginning.
I've seen a lot of people making awesome hanging light fixtures out of the old hay trollies.
That was a fun shopping trip.
I enjoy watching you show the jewelry up close . Thanks
I like doing it!

Looked like a really good place to shop this time of year. Frame 18:44 that pitcher sort of reminded me of the Ogre Shrek cartoon.
Lol I see it
