    Hi both, omgosh learning so much, and my list of purchases is ever increasing, hehe. But the tv USB connector for your firestick, can you put a link to this please and also how it actually works? As you can see absolute newbie here, before we buy a home we will be renting and taking grandchildren out and about. Thanks for all the fun along the way too.

    • @Eurosully
      @Eurosully  4 месяца назад

      @@Plottogether37B hi there 👋 just when you think you’re lost is complete, you’ll add another ten items on!
      The fire stick is straight forward, it connects into your hdmi socket on the tv, and, normally it has a three pin plug connected to it to give it 240 volt power. You can Chuck this away and get a “fire stick usb adapter” (search this on Amazon. One end of the adapter plugs into the firestick, the other is a usb that connects into the usb of your tv and powers the firestick. So if you have a 12 v tv you are good off grid, or if you are on EHU you free up a 3 pin socket.
      Check your tv has a spare usb socket and a hdmi socket!

    More great tips - I do like that cable tidy, very neat, will have to get myself one of those. Lithium is the way to go, has made a huge difference in my campervan. Lagun table leg and velcro are almost essential items. I've got some Industrial Velcro to keep a couple of panels secure in my homebuilt campervan - works a treat - its also really good as it doesn't grab other things or get too fuzzy over time. I've used velcro dots on the sofa and bed slats to stop the cushions moving when we are driving too. Must put some tin foil in the campervan before our next trip!

      Most stuff we buy is either EBay or Amazon, but the seller/item numbers go out of date very quickly 😞 there are loads of HUD on EBay with varying features/displays. I chose one that connects to the OBD port but that can cause issues on some vehicles, showing faults via the ECU, so they can also be powered by a USB port. Hello, Great videos accessory info. I’m thinking about you plug (scart type) socket for your heads up display. We have a CarLock tracker with a fault and we’re told it is located/powered in a similar way.
    Would you have any knowledge of this?
    Thanks

    • @Eurosully
      @Eurosully  4 месяца назад

      @@perrymarc2162 hi Perry, thanks for your kind words. There are quite a few devices that use the OBD socket on vehicles, as well as diagnostic machines it can be used by HUD’s, trackers and others that require power and technical info from the ECU. Depending on which base vehicle you have will determine where the OBD is, mine is on the dash near the steering. A couple of screws hold a cover in place, once removed you’ll see the socket, not dissimilar looking to a scart lead. If there is something plugged in that will be the device. The socket can only be used by one device at a time. It just pulls out/pushes in, so easy to remove a faulty device and replace.
      Hope that helps, and good luck 🤞

      Hi J, the camera was an optional extra we chose when we ordered the van, so I know very little about it, sorry. However, it has failed once, now on 2nd with a warranty claim. There are lots of them failing due to water ingress on lots of makes of van, similar to this item number on EBay 124398661850
      If I was specifying one myself I would go for a duel one, so one looks down to bumper and one to act as a rear view.

    Thought you had some good essentials to make life in a motorhome more comfortable, and in no particular order the table, a great addition for your layout as it doesn't take up any floor space, the skylight clips never seen them might invest myself, ehu ratchet clip, we have a 25mt on a reel and it drives me nuts, its heavy stiff and if its been raining you cant reel it in without getting wet so invested in a 10mt, the silver foil we use the same to save grease etc going down the sink, but never as a baking tray 👍, when we get asked i always say two things, as like you a 10 litre watering can for the same reason as yourselfs , and a wind up radio, we have one smaller than a house brick, it plays the radio all day no problem, has a decent torch and an alarm, ok the alarm won't send anybody deaf but it will alert the mohos around you, plus it has a usb to charge the radio itself and charge a phone, anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍.

      Hi Richard, we had to get the dog wormed in Sweden before we could enter Norway, and then because we drove straight over to Finland (without re entering Sweden) we were still covered by the Swedish wormer. I checked Google for a big town near to the border (Kiruna) but had also found one in Pitea (just in case we’d decided to go to Finland first). I just emailed them to check they did the wormer. The Kiruna one had drop in sessions at certain times just for the wormer. My feeling is that most vets will do it, as in theory, many people will need it as they leave Sweden. Hope this helps! J

      You wouldn’t want Andrew in your van for any longer than a typical RUclips video, he’d do your head in! 😂😂

    Spends £60 on a table - then shows the self adhesive velcro that could've gone on the cup holder thing to secure it to seatback - Boom!, would've saved £60 😁
