    soaking that nylon fuel line in hot water for about 10 mins is the best way to make that line flexible to fit on the fittings it warms it evenly more so than hot air

    Decent video, though it looks like you might want to get on sanding, painting, and rubber coating that frame before your truck falls apart around all your new parts

    I was going to make same suggestion. Hot water, not boiling, uncomfortable, hot coffee temp. This will soften the nylon just enough to slide on.

    Did you run fuel line outside of the frame rail? i can't get to my broke leaking line without taking gas tank off its inside rail and gas tank in the way, thinking about taking old line loose from filter and gas tank if i can get to hook up on tank and run new line outside rail from tank to filter securing it down where I can your thoughts.

    So, those nylon clips "connectors" fit onto the Ford Style fuel pump lines and onto the Ford type filter?

    Any way to disconnect those two lines from center tank from those two small metal boxes you showed. It looks like you cut the lines.. I have a 95 with exact “junction box” type thing and I want to replace my return line from center tank that goes to that “union” box thing.. looks difficult to detach

    My fuel pump hose broke at my rear tank. I know it’s a 3/8 quick connector, but I think the stainless line it goes to is 5/16. Sound correct?

    I need to go from the fuel filter to the fuel rail.
    When I press my schrader valve, I get nothing. But I do have plenty of fuel coming from the pump to the fuel filter though.
    Needless to say, I have a no start..
    What would you recommend?
    Thanks in advance

      Stainless lines. Replace the fittings on the bowl and run stainless. Either riff raff braided stainless or the cheapest off fleabay. The frx is a good mod and easy to do while you are getting after your OEM fuel lines. It'll allow you to delete the check valve too. I'd recommend banjo bolts too while you're messing with fuel, post bowl.

    I'll just use heat and oil resistant gas line then on ours that line you used looks like it could break easy after a few years go by it looks like hard rubber

    Nothing like those OEM filters all these years later, did one on a 94 F150 recently, hadn't been done in 180K miles, truck stalled going into reverse, and that was why

  • @klc317
    @klc317 9 лет назад

    That looks way better, good idea! I wonder if that was the original fuel filter? I couldn't help but notice when you you were showing the schrader valve on the fuel pressure valve the 1992 printed on the OEM Ford plug wires. lol.

    • @bah53
      @bah53  9 лет назад

      klc317 It could have been the original filter. I know I haven't changed it until now.

    • @atx-cvpi_99
      @atx-cvpi_99 2 года назад

      On my 1995 e150, the fuel filter is not original. Someone put a WIX fuel filter that’s not even the correct part. I may have to take the fuel lines off the fuel rail and cut the fuel filter off.

    Hmm, plastic fuel lines seem to go together easier than I thought..... I tried fitting a hose barb in those on a derby car of mine, was a real pain without heat. I didnt wanna use a cigarette lighter for fear of blowing myself, the car, and my grand parents house up LOL

    Have you checked to see if it's clean inside the gas tank? That fuel filter was kinda nasty..

    • @bah53
      @bah53  9 лет назад +2

      462ANIMAL I haven't looked inside the tank. It would be kind of a pain to pull it out now and clean it so as long as the fuel pump keeps working I'll keep running it.
