- Thrift with me! I'll show you my haul and how I would incorporate my vintage finds into my home decor. We'll take a quick walk through historic Berlin, Connecticut and I'll share a bit of local history with you. We'll also enjoy an appearance (or two) from Indy and Iris, my cute (and destructive) Maine Coon kittens.

I loved the walk! And especially appreciated all the historic photos, a look at then and now. Thank you! When the pantry gets low I can always find something to eat, BUT when I’m out of cat food I go to town!!😂. I enjoy your videos.
I'm glad you share my commitment to keeping the cats FED! Priorities, right? Thanks for leaving me a comment!
Such A beautiful neighborhood, so many gorgeous homes! And very rich in history! I love place like this, and cemetery's with really old, beautiful stones. My moms mother & father had a family cemetery back where in originally from in NC. My grandparents were much older in life when i was young. There are stones that are unreadable, stones from late 1700's & thru 1800's, wooden markers no one ever knew how old.. all on the back side or the older side of the cemetery. Then of course my grandparents & some of my moms siblings are buried there, along with other family like my grandparents parents, their parents, and lots more relatives that go way back. Its just interesting when you start looking at the stones and seeing dates & names and so forth! Its so neat the history your home, the surrounding homes and your neighborhood has! I truly enjoyed this lesson in the history of your neighborhood!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I bet your family cemetery is an amazing place, just full of history. I always admire people who volunteer to clean up and restore old stones. They really are a treasure trove of information, and of course, very sacred places.
Loved the information about your historic street. I never realized Berlin was so beautiful. All I could ever picture was the turnpike!! I love learning about the beautiful towns of Connecticut
Haha! The turnpike is the very WORST of Berlin, unfortunately! I'm glad you enjoyed the more historic side of town!
Chris, this was one of THE best videos i have watched all week ❤ Your humour, wit & knowledge just made this so much fun! I loved the hydrangea pattern set you found - beautiful! The walk around your neighborhood & your knowledge of it was just wonderful too! Such a fabulous way to start my day as I sat on my porch drinking coffee while enjoying your narrative 🥰 Now it's time for me to get busy! Have a wonderful day & thank you!!
Your comments made my day! Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video! I am proud to be "coffee" worthy! ❤❤

❤ IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A DREAM OF MINE TO MAKE A TRIP TO THE NEW ENGLAND PART OF OUR COUNTRY....AT THIS POINT, I DO NOT THINK THAT WILL HAPPEN SO I REALLY LOVE THESE WALKS AND VISITS TO THE HISTORIC AREAS.....YOUR VIDEOS ARE REALLY LOVELY....THANKS FOR SHARING....GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!
I'm so glad you enjoy the videos! It's very much my pleasure to share some of my favorite parts of Connecticut with you!
Always love to go thrift shopping with you. You found some beautiful dishes.
Your neighborhood walk was so interesting. It must be amazing to live in a home with so much history.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I definitely feel like I've gone back in time when I take a walk up and down this street. It's unusual to see so many historic properties in one compact area. Thank you for leaving me a comment!
I absolutely love American History, so thank you very much for the tour!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching and leaving me a comment!
Hi Kris loved the walking tour of the neighborhood with all of the history! My favorite houses were the red brick, the red house at the end of the trolley line and the Jarvis house. Wish we could see inside all of them 😍Also I don't think it's disrespectful at all to walk in the cemetery. Cemeteries are meant to be visited. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you! The trolley house is too beautiful - I would love to peak inside all of them! I appreciate the reassurance that it wasn't disrespectful to walk and take video in the cemetery. It is such an amazing place - too good not to share.
Hi Neighbor, Thank you so much for the awesome walking tour of the neighborhood. I loved the history and the old pictures of the historic district. So interesting and informative. Now when I drive through, I will see the homes through a new lens. Nice haul too, loved the hydrangea patterned set. Have a great day! Deb
Hi Deb! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It was fun to do the research and make the video!
Very special video of your beautiful neighborhood, thanks for sharing with us. Your haul is nice also. ♥️
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching and leaving me a comment!
Thank you, they have some nice things! I love to mix up plates and dishes. I used some saucer's as a borderline for a flower bed .
I've seen saucers as a garden border - it can be very pretty and unique! It's always fun to use things in non-traditional ways.
Loved the historical tour. 😊
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful neighbourhood ❤
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Loved the walk through your neighborhood

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! This neighborhood is a bit of a hidden gem, and fun to share with other people who enjoy historic properties.
Hello, Chris. I am thanking you for the walkabout in your historic area, as well as for the historical
anecdotes to accompany the lovely tour. Awfully nice. Also, I adored the china you purchased but, like you, I already have table wear I enjoy. Should I consider having more? My mind is "mulling" right now.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the walk! You should NEVER ask me about picking up more table wear. I can only be a very, very bad influence! 😂😂
Thank you for the history lesson on your walk. I’m also a Connecticut resident and it is so interesting to me. Your passion for all things vintage brings the history alive again. Love your channel. Thank you so much!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the walk! This history of this state is so rich and interesting, isn't it?
Yes, absolutely! 😊
Your videos are so fun to watch...
I'm so very glad you enjoy them! Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave me a kind comment - it means so much. ❤️
I love your doonie
Thank you! I'm definitely enjoying it! Such a versatile little bag.
I found a orange color leather stone mountain bag it is shorter as cross body . Paid $5.00 at salvation army .
That is a phenomenal price!
They sell Mikasa at Walmart
Do they really? I didn't know that! My mother used to go to a Mikasa store in Clinton, Connecticut and it was so beautiful. I don't know if it's still there.
Thanks for the walk-along and history of your neighborhood.
Please return to not showing us what you got in the cart from thrifting (only a hint if you must) bcuz when you get home and pull things out for show N tell, it’s like Christmas time for us viewers!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour! I appreciate your comments about not showing what is in the cart. I agree with you - it's more fun when it's a surprise. I think I'll adjust future videos accordingly. (The next 2 videos are already lined up, but after that, we'll treat thrifting like Christmas!) Again, it's very helpful to me to have feedback - thanks for taking the time!
How much are you listing the whole Mikasa set for? I'm very interested in purchasing them.
I just listed the Mikasa pieces on my ebay store yesterday, listed separately. However, I would definitely be willing to bundle the set. If you reach out to me at Klindsay1388@gmail.com we can figure it out.
How can you possibly run out of kitty food? Bad, bad mom!
I guess I probably shouldn't tell you that I've run out of it again and need to go to the store in about 15 minutes. (DEFINITELY bad mom!)
