The casting set you showed from Martin Models for the die filer is $160, not $300. Or $140 if you want a different style of pulley, and order it without the pulley casting. I started building one about a week ago and the castings are decent quality, and I found the company to be good to deal with. Casting your own and building entirely from scratch is always way cool too, of course. I'd probably still go with the casting kit even if I were set up to cast aluminum, because if going to all the effort of making a tool, I'd rather start with iron castings if I have the choice, just personal preference.
Hi where did you get the plans , can you tell me how to get them.
Cheers
