Great to see you back posting video's I don't know why, but that old clock ticking in the back round accompanied with your modest and no fuss commentary make me happy. Thank you for all your efforts and I look forward to the rest of this series.
Thanks, quite a few people mention the clock, it's a happy accident it is picked up by the mic, adds a bit of comfort to the workshop and videos. All the best for 2024.
Hi Preso, all the best for 2024, looking forward to your Stuart 10H build. During this cold weather we are having the wood stove makes a good heat treatment oven LOL.
Some interesting setups there Nigel, and I love the heat treatment, something I need to remember, should have put my toolmakers vice in the wood stove, never gave it a thought. Cheers, Jon
Thanks, I'm kind of making the design up as I go utilising what I already have. It's turning out to be rather robust, not a bad thing. All the best for 2024.
Thanks. I've not made any drawings as I'm pretty much making this up as I go. However, once finished I could put together some dimensional sketches of the main components should you wish to build one.
Hi, I'm using French Chalk though any chalk will do. I believe it's an old timer trick, it acts as a dry lubricant to help prevevnt the file clogging up. I hope that helps, thanks for your interest.
Nigel - it warms my heart to see you have found some time to get out in the shop and Create. All the best to you in 2024! 🙏🙏

Sir, I seen that you put, what I believe to be, soapstone on your file before filing.
Am I correct? What was the reason for this. cheers Ralph
