Probably more true in logo-design and stylized graphics than it is is illustration and photo-editing, but never the less good advice. If you can't make it look good in black and white, you won't be able to make it look good in color either. That's true.
Actually very applicable not only for graphic design but also in painting and cinematography. Thus the need to study values in painting and making a grissaille(grayscale) underpainting.
Colour is hard!!! Do you ever use 'coolors' ? It generates 5 harmonious colours randomly - has helped me to avoid picking wrong harmonies. You rule Tom! Happy Easter 🙌🐇
Love this because as a graphics designer these were all the points I failed at in previous work. I would crowd out the design trying to make it stand out with putting more text and objects plus wrong color palettes. Thank you. I’m evolving much better.
I really liked the part where you talked about colors, and how more muted colors are more for an understated approach, whereas strong colors express more energy or stronger impressions. :) It made me think about my favourite companies, and how they express their image visually through colors. Such as one of my favourite spas'. They actually have a very similar color scheme for the "Kate Robins" business cards. And I believe that it's to express calm, relaxation and harmony.
Same, I Luv using Color Guide anytime I get stuck in finding colors that work well Color Guide always helps in having a perfect palette ready to go 🎨 ✅
Today am watching your videos first time and am going to fan of your video. Continuously am watching your videos one by one✌ keep going you are doing nice and informative work.
I don't know if I was the first to notice the repetition of the "tip no. 1" in the upper right part of the video. I hope this is not a graphic designer's pathology and I sincerely thank you for the advices you share on this platform. I truly like your videos, see ya :) 🚩
Boss, thanks again. Since you asked.. every piece of phrase, patch of color, position and graphic were wowsome. Impeccable work there aligned with lot of dedication towards the project. I always liked your work. Fascinating. Ram

@@SatoriGraphics I'm a non native English speaker and I think your voice is good as it is. You speak rather slow and comprehensible. Non native people can learn a lot listening to native, natural speaking. Thank you for the great tips. :)
@@SatoriGraphics no, the pace you talk at is perfect and easily comprehensible, the words you say are clear and understandable, the slight accent to your english is very pleasent and it could be your niche, i like the content and the way you talk
as my art director told me, "never design in color, start with black and white - if it works in black and white, it will work in color"

I agree more to design in three tones - dark/middle/bright if it's about web design and illustration like an esquisse in painting
wise advice, Thanks for sharing it with us.

Tools can surely come handy in design, but a lot of it lays on you knowing 100% what you're doing.

Hello sir. Thanks for the video.. there's a little mistake in your video... You type tip no.1 instead of tip no.2 on top right corner

Hey make on T shirt Design
I pretty confused on how to make my first portfolio..what desigs to choose from...as a graphic designer..if you could suggest me something..🙏
Siddhartha Rajput You don’t have to add all your work in a portfolio. You just have to add your best pieces of work.
the bar at the top of the video has 2 times 'tip no.1' just saying it in case its a template you made to use in different video's

I miss TIP No. '2' at the top right 😋 amazing video otherwise
Which font are you using for your logo
