- We TRY to set a world record with this bizarre build! This necro is practically unkillable. Poison, Bone, and Summon skills are all used in this Diablo 2 Resurrected Guide.
This build was inspired by the Poison Nova Uber build that @lordzhangfei7534 put out called "CRAZY 100% Poison Nova Necro Uber Build; No Summons, No Health Pots, No Merc, PURE POISON! RIP UBERS". Check out his channel!

just to be sure, did you tried zeal (from passion) with your setup to see if this speedsup this melee attack thingy ?
@@14mwh014m that's "The Ward" lol. Different shield. Zeal presents more problems with AR issues, etc, but mainly... Good luck focusing a zeal with 40 other monsters surrounding you
@@turbo_brian Yeah, pretty much. A few versions were tested with more AR, etc, but that's basically what we landed on. OW better than poison dagger.
It's things like this that make D2 arguably the greatest game of all time.

The original starcraft is my choice for best of all time. My main reason? The map editor changed gaming forever. The entire moba genre came from sc1 map editor, now we have league of legend tournaments selling out stadiums for live shows

Note: -100 Target Defense is applied before %bonus, so Baal only needs about 30 hits to be defenseless!

Correct.
Uber Baal has 3150 base defence, but the Frozen Armor (or is it *SHIVER* ?) he applies to himself gives him a 225 percent bonus.
So, the 3150 thus gets buffed to the displayed 10,237 here.
The -100 def per hit given by the hammer applies to Baal's *BASE* defence, hence why the display counter reduces his def by exactly 325 after each hit. :P

Can't believe that this permanently reduces the defense, not acts as if the monster had 100 less defense. Crazy! Was it always like that ?

You beat me to this video. I started a bone necro on ladder and have been playing around with ways to do ubers with it using this exact method. I tried so many variations, but you seem to have nailed it. Good job man

Great build man. I saw a german dude use a very similar build 10ish years ago. But he was using a Fleshripper and maxed poison dagger skill for the AR. Sure it was a bit slow but he could do ubers

Honestly those are some of the most fun videos popping in and out just look at the Non-Meta players like Doublebilly and MichaelBustamante they always play some weird shit(its not crop of the top and they're most likely Player1 builds but sometimes they scale pretty okay)but i commend for enjoying the game that way.
I still have ways to improve that myself cause im a lootgoblin and stop playing after 1-3 weeks on Ladder especially S6-S7 were pretty terrible in terms of Trading(most players dont come back because of no updates and the Bots have become way too many since people are making Money from botting again).

Thorns used to be super-broken in 1.0. Basically, in 1.0, thorns damage would proc BEFORE the monster dealt damage to your minions, and if the monster died from it, it never dealt damage (this only worked on minions), so having a merc, summon, resurrected, or converted monster with thorns on it, would just make the other monsters drop dead. I remember doing cows, and the cows would just come up to my merc, and instantly drop dead, it was glorious. Wasn't as good with the bosses, though, since they wouldn't kill themselves in 1 hit, so they still dealt damage to those minions.
Great story. For about seven minutes, I was actually lost down the rabbit hole.
This kinda stuff still blows my mind.

Bone runeword has always been fun on bearnec as well, but the fpa change on bear kinda destroyed that build :p
Lmao the guy in the end spamming poison nova and breaking it's frame based damage calculation all the time was funny AF. I guess he just wanted to keep them poisoned to stop healing.

you could use the shield in weapon switch, and use act 2 merc with prayer, iron golem with insight, it could be great !

... namely that you need a *SНIТ TON* of Dexterity ( *AND* probably AR charms ... ) in order to achieve a bearable amount of Attack Rating... :P

one of the character names for the Necro that we see briefly is "oko" ... -- coincidentally or not, the word means *EYE* in most Slavic languages... (Russian, Polish, etc...)

I saw this on Kano speedrun and I immadiately thought of the variation of act 1 mercenary with Edge+Bramble which will stack Thorns aura to 29lvl.
What do you think? Worth a shot?

What takes the v1.10+ communities to find out about game mechanics is laughable. Also, the game mechanics have more meaning/depth prior to v1.10.
#truepassion. I sincerely wish the "dev team" (whatever the hell that stands for) could adjust old uniques to make some subpar builds feel like "a thing". They promised to finish the graphic update later after they fixed more pressing matters like... you know.. server stabilities but that turned out to be a lie as they just waited the playerbase to dwindle down along with the fact that bots existed within a couple of months. You think the dev team didn't do like the wow guy that hired chinese gold farmers to sell to US-Based muppets? Nah it was that same story all over again... on 300$/item from d2anya (you could cover that bs from the past with a video about hybrid runewords and how they should reintroduce them for ladder, but disappear once ladder ends. This would be INSANELY fun for ladder pvp andmake us all come back from time to time just to pvp our nuts off (sort of speak).I'm sure if the devs heard that idea in the next month they could go: "Yea this needs to happen". Heck delete my comment give me no credit and I'd be super happy for you guys. I just quit the game and removing d2 suggestions from youtube now (I know myself and this is a way to drag one back into any type of "blast of the past". I need to be done with gaming for the next year or two... perhaps d4 will become great? Perhaps my projects will make me forget that I ever wanted any distraction? Who knows! All I know is that your passion for this game isn't misplaced. It sucks that only compulsive gamers are still sticking around rather than well adjusted adults (p0theads etc.. sorry idk if you smoke / know more than a handful that fit the description, but... in my experience: p0theads or fathers.. sometimes both are still on this game and a lucky few kids from newer generations that didn't fall victim to the garbage they're selling now...). You, Phil, llamasc, barricade and a few others should make a wishlist like I've seen left and right and keep it up to date (with the obvious "remove bots" at the top.. along with my personal most wanted: "more storage and guild halls") so that - if push comes to shove - it exists and they can use it and pretend that they've been listening all that time.
Lets be real... we would all buy an expansion of d2r or at least ponder it. If they make it non-mandatory and allow us to play with people that have that expansion = I'm sure we'd all be fine with it as long as it doesn't change the game we loved. Mosaic was a lil bit over the edge (we all agree) and impale needs to be fixed for pvp (guildhalls' thingy/arenas+leaderboards?/ I'm sure barricade could help with all the artwork!), but all in all... they did a good job. So yea! I wish you all the best. This was my last comment on YT for D2r and everything that isn't related to epistemology/stabilizing the mind through clear notions since psychology in the USA is THAT messed up.. Holvat zuban! Hey Cooley, not sure if this has already been tested or not, but do you think using the "Eternity" rune word on an Uber speed running Smiter would work well? You can have 8 revives with crushing blow, which would likely help out vs Ubers more than Grief's +damage I'm thinking.
What if you use Iron Maiden + Thorns instead of Amplify + Thorns specifically for ubers? I would love to see the combined returned damage, if functional!

Back in the day I make a Conversion/Thorns pally. Whats funny is when the Conversion wears off, the Thorns is still active for a few seconds and other players would just get wrecked, Always. It was a super troll build for just your own pure enjoyment.
Why not raise iron golem over pride ?
Act 2 merc with infinity for CB conviction means no defense for any mob anyways, meaning you could hold a beast for your minions, or if you want CB on your necro use last wish for might as well ( Also last wish does hit harder than grief it may have a lower average ) Bramble for thorns still ??
Awsome build. Something about utilizing auto attacks for main damage output feels really satisfying. Reminds me of Diablo 1 I guess. Seriously one of the coolest builds I've seen so far

I always make my early Ladder Season DClone kills with Thorns and my Fire Golem. It takes a few minutes, but requires only 1 item, an Edge Bow. It's by far the easiest way to kill DClone.

now the million dollar question, does this mod on weapon work on smite? just so u can effectively apply the effect everyhit, then finish with zeal :D

The freedom to be able to "attack" with your weapon is something i never take for granted. I understand the fact that its unneeded most of the time, but the freedom to choose is my God Given Right! 😅
I think we are simply at the point where the math has been done for everything and we simply have to accept that new fun builds wont defeat math anymore. Nontheless, i myself also keep trying to press for new undiscovered builds until this day. Besides, anything that can beat UT and is off meta is still impressive.

The dream is to build an uber killing psn dagger necro. I think stacking psn dagger with venom from treachery has some potential.

I think you did better than goat as like you sead the summoning is a pre buff that takes time. I personally remember back in the day spamming fear and random rev and owning tristrum fast.

I made a very similair build on my channel and used only poison to kill ubers. The feeling of being immoral is very strong on this build.
