It's very alien-like to the south of England. But there are many wonderful areas of wilderness in rural Scotland, Northern Ireland, England, and Wales.

3 years ago in glenshee I was bombing a blue first day back and the wind stopped me in my tracks. Something you can only experience in Scotland. Been to Boston, Switzerland and Austria and I still come back to Scotland. Honestly some of the best skiing in the world. Cairngorms getting 2 6 seater chairs in the next few years aswel it’s about time fresh money was pumped in. Hopefully it gets a chair reaction going. Haven’t touched snow in 2 years😒

Similar to skiing in NZ. Weather is whiteout one day and bluebird the next with the weather coming off the sea it's hard to predict

I sooooo want for British Skiing to be a thing, I really do. But it just isn't worth it for anyone living in the south England especially with the prices of the railway. It makes much more sense both interms of £ and time to just fuck off over to the Alps. And that isn't even mentioning the extreme lack of a snow sure season in Scotland and the lack of actual terrain. If I lived 30 mins from this I would be all over it! Coming up from London... nah mate...

So scotland skiing may be the next best thing for me and my dog.

Yer our mountains are pretty small altitude wise but alot of 'alpine' type terrain, and heavily defrosted(unfrotunately) so lots of great views, kind of give them the feel of being alot higher than they are.

@@jsimo1431 Scotland wants to send it's goods through England to the channel and through to Europe . England should make all roads in, all toll roads ( we can't be stopped now
we are not in Europe lol ) We should make the tolls extortionate so the good aren't viable any more. And when the Scots want to to the same ? Laugh , We don't need
need to drive up and into the sea! We should enforce English waters so they have to take their ships in an arc. Take away the right for them to use the pound. There
Isn't much oil left in their field, what is, is crude and has to be exchanged for refined, still we should under tap it from Berwick. When we have put the fabulous Hs2
train up to Newcastle but accept no coaches, trains, or parking etc to it from Scotland. The City London creates a 1/3 of the wealth of all the UK; it would be Great to . have Scotland cut themselves out of the City and the jobs there. All this could only be the start.

Tried skiing there a long time ago with the Warrington Ski Club when I was in my mid to late 20's, on the second day the so called instructor took us complete beginners down nid wall full of large icy moguls, a truly awful day, by stopping and starting and falling multiple times in about 20 minutes I got two thirds down, but the slope got steeper and it became so scary I took my ski's off and walked down the side of the rest of the run, and for the rest of the long weekend I was just mentally counting down the hours till I could go home, and I swore I'd never try skiing again, and 40 years later I haven't.
