Sydney Powell : I do not feel sorry for her. She only got 15 years for killing her mother first with the Skillet. Then running down to the kitchen and getting a knife. She was crying and babbling because she got caught not because she’s sorry. Terrible terrible terrible terrible judgment.
Looks like a lot of people fell for her crying and fetal position act.

This is what happens when the rod is spared on a spoiled, narcissistic, and evil child. No moral guidance. They didn't take the time to find out who their daughter really was, or they knew but allowed her to raise herself because they wanted to be seen as progressive 21st-century parents! Progressivism kills. Love, teach, guide, and support your children know who they are as children and young adults, know their friends, and their hangouts without smothering them, give them the space they require- but also know when to reel them in! It's a balancing act.

Atp I think she honestly just snapped. Maybe they trusted her a bit too much to do well on her own. Sometimes all we need is just someone there to remind us of our goals and to just give a little nudge so we can keep going.
It honestly seemed like she felt alone and even more pressured bcs her family trusted her sm that they didn't even think of the possibility that college could take a toll on her mental health and then on her grades.
Like, that isn't my case, but it felt like "oh, she did great here, so I have no doubts that she'll do great there, I just know it". This doesn't help at all to someone who takes their grades way too seriously (I'm one of those people, I even cried when I got an 8/10), it just worsens bcs "I'll be a failure if I fail to meet this person's expectations" etc. etc.
Ofc nothing justifies her simply unaliving someone, but all of this pilling up could've been a trigger to something worse inside her mind. Clearly she looks (at the very least) a little remorseful during the trial, she knew that what she did was wrong.
Now I just don't know it she felt bad bcs she unalived someone who was concerned for her and f-ed up everything or bcs this'll go on her record and she probably won't ever be able to go to college again.

Mackenzie is/was a teenage girl full of teenage angst and emotions..a pain in the arse and self entitled..pretty much like most teen girls.
"So sad Dom couldn't break free from this abusive relationship and that Davion was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
Except Dom was quite content to be in the abusive relationship that he was part of..and was also an abuser in - they were together for 3 years. Dom happily smoked weed and happily got into a car with a driver who also smoked weed - but i spose because he died, presumably not wearing a seat belt, he is blameless.
Mackenzie made some bad decisions while under the influence of cannabis..Dom also made some bad decisions while under the influence - There's no evidence here of murder but plenty for manslaughter, for which both victims bare some contributing culpability.
Poor Davion couldnt break free from the abusive relationship that went on for 3 years and was so abusive that his girlfriend was welcomed into his home by Davions parents..

      @JC-zv3cv 9 месяцев назад

Hey..look, an absolutely amazing analysis of myself based on my one comment which is a reply to someone else's comment on youtube, your ability to judge a person is amazing.
" People in abusive relationship tend to scared of trying new things. "
No evidence that Davion' was in an abusive relationship apart from what is presented in this video - If..and its a big if Davion was in an abusive relationship then one wonders why Davions parents allowed and encouraged the abusive relationship by allowing his abusive girlfriend to live with them and share the home.
Davion obviously wasnt to scared to try new things such as smoking weed and drinking, given thats exactly what he did prior to his death - smoking weed & drinking alcohol impair judgement, perhaps that is why he made the decision to be a passenger in a car driven by a driver who was also similarly cognitively impaired, perhaps thats why he failed to wear a seat belt but the reality is that young people tend to think they are bullet proof and avoid common sense.
Was he forced into the car? no - was the driver an idiot, self entitled, full of herself and a drama queen, yes - does that mean she murdered her boyfriend, doubtful - was she responsible for manslaughter - yes.
The court system isnt about reality, the court system is about facts, facts are not the same as truth, facts are about what can be proved by evidence and in this particular case the evidence suggests 3 impaired people got into a vehicle when they should not have.

I believe Sydney had a nervous breakdown, not psychotic break. A nervous breakdown can result from a variety of mental health disorders but is essentially the colloquial term for a type of mental health crisis that occurs in response to periods of extreme mental or emotional stress, that are so great that the person is unable to function normally. They may exhibit the following signs:
periods of depression, low self-esteem, poor hygiene, fearfulness, irritability, angry outbursts, feelings of helplessness, moodiness, withdrawing from family/friends, losing interest in favorite activities, panic attacks, uncontrollable crying, either insomnia or sleeping excessively, fatigue, changes in appetite/weight, feelings of depersonalization & detachment from reality, paranoia, delusions, atypical or irrational behaviors, thoughts of self harm, etc. She was clearly didn't pre-plan this because she had to come up with a cover story on the fly & it showed. She exerted minimal effort to try & cover this up. I don't think any of this totally excuses her behavior but it is a mitigating factor & explains how this happened.
That in mind, I think her sentence was reasonable. As long as she gets the mental health treatment she needs & sticks with it (especially once out on parole), I think she is unlikely to re-offend. She does seem legitimately remorseful in the clips Ive seen of her...

I think there had to be much more to it than what we've been privy to. It sounds like her mother may have been very authoritarian (I'm guessing here) but the mother/daughter dynamic wasn't all roses. The statement, "I just feel your scamming me" is a huge tell. Extreme stress from an overbearing or narcissistic parent can cause serious mental health issues. Of course none of that excuses her actions. It only explains how a young promising girl who's always done well in school flounders. Truly a sad situation with an entire family ruined and a mother dead. May she get the help she needs.

I had the same youth. My mother literally drove me crazy. I have been diagnosed with BPD from the constant pressure my mother placed me under since I was 2 years old. She did it all so she could brag to people that her daughter could do this, do that at ages other kids were just playing and learning normal child stuff. I am doing much better now and have actually become a very calm person with two children who do not feel any pressures like I did as a child. I simply ask them to do their best to make themselves proud. They know I will always be proud of them and happy with their achievements as long as they are happy and satisfied. When they aren’t pleased about somethings they’ve done in school, sports, extra-curricular, I never put any expectations on them and let them know that everyone has ups and downs in life and to not let it get to them. I don’t even think I would get diagnosed with BPD anymore I have recovered so much but the diagnosis does encourage me to keep healing and to always do the things I need to do to atop the cycle.

She clearly couldn’t face the idea of not being everything her parents believed her to be. Nor could she face what that would make her… a failure in her eyes.
I don’t see this as anything but an unstable emotionally insecure girl. Who when boxed into a corner and forced to face her lies and her situation, became “undone” and targeted the person she couldn’t face.
While justice was served in this case, I don’t think there were any winners here.
My heart breaks for the loss of her mother… a vibrant and lovely woman. Her father, who will forever question himself. Thinking… if I’d only done this, or said that. Yes, her death could and should have been prevented. She was brave enough to speak up but her calls for help were not answered. If a person's safety is at risk you have to tell someone, you have to report it for them.

With Sydney Powell, we see something with many young adults these days. They have no idea how to problem solve. They were coddled by schools, they have nearly no idea of what reality truly is. If you don’t like your circumstances, blame your parents, friends, authority, you are a victim if you dont get your way. Social media is the most important thing to them and they’ve been taught through some schools and social culture that their very existence has been unfair. Hospitalize the kid, drug them and put them in a worse situation by not helping do what they claim the kid needs which is don’t look for the root cause. Just give them more meds. She made a mistake and screwed up at uni and instead of going to her family and asking for help, she couldn’t figure out how to step up the truth to her parents. It would be hard, but they would have supported her and although they may have been understanding and given her advice and understanding. They would have been there for her. Instead she killed to cover the lies.

That’s why parwnts need to set boundaries and stick to them. I have a 16 year old boy and a 17 year old daughter. We parent them in an old-fashioned way compared to what we see from their friends parents. We don’t smack or anything like that (I think that just leads kids to think violence is the solution) but we set out consequences for poor behaviour and we stick to it. So far, so good. Our kids know, without a doubt, that if they mess up, there will be a punishment and it will be followed through. They know we love them unconditionally and that boundaries are set because we love them so much. Kids with boundaries grow up to be appreciative adults. They know it is rooted in love.

@thedecoder: NEW SUBS: love the narration and short intro into the video, and i have already watched these stories from other channels, love the voice of the narrator and the explanations and all the things that you added to explain whats happened and what was done by the killers, and court proceedings and love the music in the back ground, its like a funeral music at a wake when showing the pictures and videos of the those that have passed, its like watching a short true story movie. Thank you for honoring the victims and their families. "God is watching us from a distance" I loved that Betty Midler song. Condolence's to all the families that have lost a loved one to crimes and God bless Us all.

It’s rather ridiculous to blame an entire generation for the acts of the disturbed few. I have 3 grown children. No matter how traumatic the events in their lives, they knew they could come to me. Not one tried to kill me.

I feel sorry for Sydney. She obviously did this from intense pressure to maintain her “golden child” status likely from her very accomolished mother. She couldn’t let her mom know of her failing at any cost and she completely freaked out and reacted in a way she couldn’t even believe that she did. Her sorrow post killing her mom appears very genuine. Theres no evidence indicating that she had hatred towards her mom. She just snapped. But what I can’t understand is how and why she was failing so bad and semesters in a row and didn’t care to/couldn’t recover. Remember she was nearly a PERFECT child before this. She was a model student and had a scholarship. But freshman and sophomore year are not hard… leads me to believe she really did have some sort of psychological problem which she maybe also felt too ashamed to disclose. Either way, taking someone’s life is still a crime and really sad and unfortunate that it was her own mother.

What stories like this teaches us is that, it doesn't matter if you live five, ten, twenty or fifty years with a Sociopathic/Psychopathic Narcissist, people simply do NOT want to see the red flags, they WANT to ignore them, because if they are seen, if the potential problem is identified....well, life changes are in order and most people don't want to change their lives or go through hardships changing their lives.

Exactly. Too many in domestic abuse situations just want to complain but will do nothing to actually get out of it. This drives the police and other services crazy. You cannot help those who will not help themselves. What's especially sad is when the innocent (usually children) are involved.
