I can't speak for other physicians but I before ordering a test or medication I ask myself what the patient would do if the outcome of my decision is a negative one. Will they appreciate that I tried to be less aggressive with interventions and forgive me for rare but negative outcomes? Or will they sue me or complain to the medical board or my employer because I decided to not order a CT or prescribe them a blood thinner? You are right that the US functions as a capitalist nation but capitalism is consumer driven. When you choose to sue a doctor then you have chosen to retain that right and therefore that cost is build into your healthcare, into my salary, and the over-agressive intervention are an unfortunate side effect.
I agree with what you said about car mechanics and/or shops, etc. But concerning wisdom teeth or pulling a tooth, I always look to the science and ask why are they recommending some procedure. Even though I am not an oral surgeon, does what their telling make sense? So if they tell me that a wisdom tooth needs to be pulled I ask them why. If they tell me to look at the Xray and see that it is butting up against another tooth and it will be hard to clean and potentially cause decay and I may lose both teeth this makes sense to me. I am like you an engineer, but I like to use my ability to think in many areas of life, business, medicine, law, etc. Common sense can really help a person make decisions if a professional tells you something and it doesn't make sense to you, I would get a second opinion to verify. But your right many people in business are in it for the money only, so you must be careful. This is the free market capitalist system. May the buyer beware.
I had posted on my Facebook yesterday: master tip for eating healthy: read as much as you can on reputable media like the NYT, WaPo, The Atlantic, The Guardian, The Economist, The Hill, Vox, etc. Proceed to do the exact opposite.

I'm not sure if I want to plunge myself into some sort of human rights fighter. Doing something like that so blatantly will likely trigger demonetization. Hence, I have to sort of talk about it without talking about it.
People please! Don't remove your wisdom teeth for no reason. I have all 4 of them, one of them is root canaled so I could keep it, the other one is holding the back end of a bridge and the remaining two are just like normal teeth. This is also great stuff to talk about. It is so true that you can hardly trust anyone when there is conflict of interest involved even if that person is a good person in other situations. I had tire shop asked for non-needed work, I had dentist always found a few new cavities every few months, and I even had a college adviser told me to take courses that did not fulfill degree requirements much like a car salesperson selling me worthless warranties.
I just found your videos yesterday and I've been binge watching for hours! You have a great personality and give great advice and are a wonderful example of what can be done. I'm really enjoying watching you.
Props to you for shedding light into this issue. Not so much an issue but a way of life which we have been conditioned into. I would say it is in each persons best interest to be informed and critique everything. With health care, house or car maintenance, it is best to approach it preventatively so that the problems don't arise in the first place and if they do, you are prepared. Really enjoyed this, cheers!! Keep up the good work 😊.
Hi Francis, Two things I would love to discuss with you. 1) dentists, I purposely visit to separate dentists alternating and never commit to expensive procedures on the day; second opinions count. 2) I know you have a car that you bought new and is now old. I would like you to explore the concept of not replacing that vehicle. One of the great things about living in HK, Singapore or Tokyo is that you never need own a car, I wonder if this is possible for someone like you that no longer has a commute.
1, sounds good unless all dentists are inclined to give you the same recommendation. Think a tourist spot where price is set high and you go shop around for the best price. 2, I bought the car used and now its old and used. I have thought about not replacing the vehicle. I even think about moving out. I have the burden of my things which is why I am actively getting rid of more stuff everyday.
It is good to hear someone confirm what many of us have all been feeling, about the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry etc... I sometimes feel the whole idea that "Capitalism is the only and best Economic system" available out there, is just too lazy of a viewpoint. Sometimes I'm angry too, when you think about how the gov't drives tax dollars (about $650 - 700 Billion / year) into the Military Industrial Complex, all for the purpose of maintaining military supremacy, and to maintain the Petro dollar status.
It's hard to find mechanics who are honest and won't rip you off. I say this as someone whose father was a mechanic, and I work in the automotive industry.
You are correct, some products and services will do just enough to get you over the hump. The foods will not kill you at that moment but somewhere down the line there may be problems.
I can actually elaborate on the Whole car service scam thing as well. I have probably over a dozen examples over the last decade of people I know or family members getting the massive shaft. I'll considering compiling a list and perhaps making a video.
One thing I read that helped me understand capitalism and how it works was the long essay by an Orthodox Christian called "Capitalism as the offspring of Western Metaphysics." It takes a lot of excerpts from the book "The Protestant ethic and the spirit of Capitalism." It actually explains quite well through history, that what we understand as capitalism, and our thinking of it as "natural" isn't quite true, and it's only recently in human history thinking systemically and mathematically about capitalism actually happened.
Business school 101: for-profit businesses are for making profit for investors. They have no other altruistic purpose. Any altruism that you believe you're finding in for-profit businesses is really just another way of appealing to customers. This is evidenced (aside from academic evidence) in the reality that nearly every business operates to the bounds of the law and a careful analysis of customer response. Consequently, if an act has yet to be restricted by law, while customer outrage occurs within an acceptably small portion of the market, a business's code of conduct will be expanded to accommodate the profitable act. Sure, there are some examples of businesses reining themselves in regarding _some_ questionable acts, but you can be certain the decision to give up profits in those instances was carefully weighed against the probable reaction of customers (thus, the potential for even greater monetary losses).
So true about many doctor's incentives are not really to get & keep us healthy. I personally have found the Blue Zones diet the best for my body, which is a version of the Mediterranean diet. I no longer eat commercially processed or packaged foods. And my health is so much better now!
The solution is to have professional services delivered to you by rich people who don't care about your money, but more about other things such as pride or reputation (aka the difference between being a customer and a client). Or as you say, have an arrangement in which the service provider participates in your long-term success directly (one such mechanism, which is not always available is their hoping for your repeat business). Another solution is to mercilessly name and shame the scammers. A long-term solution is to change society's values to move away from money/materialism - make people optimize other things than the number of possessions or buying power. As for diet, don't worry that much, you're gonna die of something anyways. Don't be so attached to your longevity. Anyhow, bananas and rice are good for you.
BTB: I'm new, enjoying your ways. Thank you ♡ I would like your opinion here. I'm a cook for the same 30 religious people daily. I put my all into everything I do. I always go the extra mile to satisfy everyone. No one thanks me. They rarely comment on the food. My friends and family tell me I'm a great cook and they always love my cooking - but the people I work for never comment on anything or ever thank me. What gives?
People are free to research before they choose to buy. Unless you are forced to buy, like in medical ins the customer is the boss. Competing in the marketplace is blind of moral dogma. No competing industry can afford to permit their product or service to adversely effect their customer.
Its not capitalism that's the problem, the sellers always try to maximise profit and satisfy market demand (but they stimulate it as well). If the market demands different things, the market will provide different things so the way out of this is to educate ourselves and our friends.
Our medical system doesn't really operate on the principles of capitalism and I'm not sure it really can. In capitalism, ideally the consumer can compare various metrics for goods and services (reputation, cost, customer service, etc) and make a reasonably informed decision. This is very difficult to do for medical services. The most expensive decisions are made in emergency situations where one doesn't have time to perform any research. You tend to be at the mercy of whatever physicians are available and whatever the closest hospital charges. Even while there, staff will not know how much anything costs. Having worked in a hospital for a few years, I can tell you that the doctors and nurses don't know what some test, procedure, or medication will cost. On some things they have a "general" idea, but a patient will never be able to request and receive a written estimate for most things prior to having it done. Even the shady mechanic will give a written estimate that you have to sign before work is done. At the hospital when you walk through the door, you sign a document that essentially states: *"I, the patient, agree to pay whatever it is that the hospital and it's providers decide to charge me."* Say what? I don't know of any other service or industry where you have to agree in advance to pay whatever it is they feel like charging you. Even for non-emergency services, it can be difficult to get a straight answer as to how much something will cost. Try calling doctor's offices and before making an appointment and ask how much something is, they may try to help, but the way the medical billing works makes it hard to get a straight answer.
Well this last paycheck Mc Donalds and the Wrecking yard company did. Kind of irritated with both. Mc Donalds app scammed me im supposed to be getting back and my part broke on the way out of the store so the wrecking yard gave me a $52 receipt which sucks.
This is great. Breaking it down Barney style. I see a book in your future. Your content might trigger people but that is just people giving up looking for getting to the bottom line.
I find this topic fascinating. I love my doctor, but I understand not everyone can trust theirs. Mine has been with me since I was 8 years old, and is like a father figure to me. But anyway, I think just because something does its job, doesn't mean it's ok. There are some things that have no place in a happy, healthy world, at least not in their current form. At least, that's my opinion.
In a way doctors/hospitals are incentified to keep you healthy. By that I mean as long as you are healthy and not going to the doctor/hospital the insurance companies are taking in pure profit through premiums and not having to pay for any health costs. You end paying for sick peoples treatment when you pay your yearly premiums and don't need to have anything done. This is what the insurance companies want, because insurance pays the doctors salaries. If everybody was sick the health system would go bankrupt.
Truth never told. Very few true altruists. 99.99% of the time...follow the money, it comes down to greed, power, or both. It is human nature to chase after our own self-interests.
thank you for elaborating deeper on this perspective of capitalistic structures, I was looking forwards it as I expressed in my comments for some previous videos. I hope there's lots more to come, please keep up this work, it's significant!!
Hopefully, not everyone will do that. If I were to guess, perhaps 5%-15% would do the right thing even if it brings in less? Or is that too idealistic? Hard to measure this.
I love these discussions about consumerism and the influence of Capitalism. Americans should have them more often. The amount of product that we buy is way beyond what we need to live. And it's only making rich people richer.
Dear Beat the Bush, I feel I think similarely to you :) Luckily in Europe businesses are a little less ruthless. Even though they still are businesses serving their own purposes I feel like USA is worse :(
I really hate salemen that come to try to sell you something but it's only good for a short time and you have to sign up for it right now. Window replacement companies can be like this. Realistically, you probably don't need the best window that are designed like a tank, have the best insulation, etc. Most people don't stay in the same house more than about 7 years on average anyway. Prices for these things can be triple or more than just a normal company that isn't out to suck every penny from you. The salemen are hired to get you to sign the contract right there and then. They don't want you to investigate and get more estimates. I never never sign up for something on the spot. I always get other estimates, get other opinions, do online research, etc.
Those are the tactics. Buy now! I will only give you this offer of $1000 off today only. I just want to extend this to a larger problem. Even if you get quotes and say get the cheapest price. Maybe the cheapest one has cancer causing materials and the industry as a whole does not recognize it just yet. You see what I mean here. There is another layer to it.
LOL It's funny that you think that somebody has(had, or will have ) interest in your health, wealth, happiness. Beside you ,and your parents and some friends , the world is a very dark place. If you have doubts about my statement just read " The World as Will and Representation" by Arthur Schopenhauer.
Rather not have an interest but rather neutral. How many people you know will trade your life going from living 90 to 89 for $10,000? But then... for things so far out, it's hard to prove. It almost comes down as beliefs and it's easily manipulated.
Novoloaca Ilie we, sorry, I do not come here for any of those reasons. But I am very interested in his knowledge. Say what you will, but he is obviously doing a lot of things right in his life. And no matter how much you know, if you watch ten of his videos and only learn one thing, then you have not wasted your time. Very much to the contrary. I do not come here because I am interested in his wealth or happiness, but because I am interested in my own....And with a name like “beat the bush”, you know he gets ass. Haha!
Interesting conversation. I have the idea that in Europa (where I live) capitalism is better regulated by governmental oversight. Sometimes big companies like Google / Microsoft are being slapped on the wrist if they gear towards monopoly and preventing a level playing field.
B corporations en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B_Corporation_(certification) it's a start. I don't think any are public since CEO's have a legal obligation to their shareholders, not customers as you discussed. Money is a great tool. The love for money is the root of all evil. Great discussion BTB: our debt based economy relies on constant growth. If we can have capitalism without never ending growth then we could get to sustainability. Solve the debt/credit, solve the problem...Rough road to sustainability.
LOL, Anything is possible but there are ways to limit corruption. Lab B is a not for profit which is a good start to avoid greed. You would have to look at the history of the board and decide for yourself if they are committed. Money does change hands so keep up the healthy scepticism. bcorporation.net/node/39533 Standards and governance page Don't lose faith. Far more good people out there than bad but the bad are always the loudest.
As much as I like the idea of doctors that get paid based on number of healthy years, imagine the number of people that would get turned away. Newborns needing organs, children with chronic illness or cancer, hell even the obese. As an aside (so my econ-loving gf will be happy with me haha) the United States is a mixed economy, otherwise child labor laws and workers comp wouldn't be a thing. That said, you're right it's good to remember that everything is about the short term. And my advice? Lift weights! You don't have to gain much mass, but lift enough where your bones and muscles get stronger and itll keep you able-bodied for longer. Its especially good for those with a family history of osteoporosis. The only issue might be satiating your increased appetite with protein.
Thanks for thinking of the flip side. The half hashed thing I said is very imperfect. So maybe it can be fixed by now allowing people to be turned away as a condition. I know if you plug one hole up, there is yet another. I suppose even a new system will not be perfect as well. One can dream. For now, for what we have, everyone should get smart about the dangers out there and avoid them as much as possible. I am finding out more and more myself.
Even the preventive treatments is tricky because most people don't actually do the safe activities, exercise, and eat healthy even if they are told it will kill them until its too late
In regard to the doctor part, I agree their hearts are in the wrong place BUT at the end of the day a person's health is their responsibility. People can't hold their doctor accountable if they choose to go out and eat everyday.
Functional life expectancy is the term coined recently; if we are taking physiological functions into account, human's life expectancy is much lower. Physical functions are much higher in poorer nations; due to the lack of social services or the safety net.
Yes! That's it! I like that much better than just life expectancy. So one have to DEFINE what humans generally want out of life. A tall order to ask and who has the authority to say what is best? Maybe some want to live YOLO, short but high life vs. long and mellow.
Understand what you mean BTB here in the states capitalism is taken to the next level and sometimes a ripoff like the school system. However, believe in the concept of karma. Businesses that take advantage and do bad things to people will soon get what the deserve. What comes around goes back around?
I started to sense BTB is running low in money or something.. before it was awesome finance stuff content and cut expenses but now it seems like venting about world and business lol. Duh, business are anywhere to make money. You just need to be smart buyer. Business wont tell you whats good or bad about their product cuz that vary consumer to consumer. But yeah all his points are true. Healthcare here always sucked, nothing new. As a well wisher, I highly recommend rent out your property and move to van life and travel. Make the usual video you making plus you have better content as traveler, van life, maximize expense, experience in each state, finance and any other! 😺
This is highly finance related. Not sure what else to say because it I think it ranks pretty high up there in terms of saving you money. Not sure where you draw this conclusion from though, I make topics that are interesting to me and that I think will benefit the viewer.
The only thing large companies care about is their shareholders. They will set their business up for failure in 5 years in order to meet a quarterly goal. Its a joke.
I always think whats in for them and then for me. However i did buy a crappy laptop once because i didnt do my research and didnt want any advice from them.., lucky for me i could change it for better one, so one can be at fault sometimes when one is buying a thing to quick.
Don't hold me to it but the last time I read a soda label it said 32 grams of sugar and that was in the past 3 months. Then as I listened to the video here, I looked at the label of Pepsi I was sipping (Pepsi with Real Sugar) and it said 40 grams. Then I Googled it and that gave me 41 grams.
Thats a cool idea making healthcare accountable on how long you live! Then maybe they'll be more motivated and honest...As for food I heard there was something like corn overproduction? couple decades back in America and to get rid of the supply they started putting too much corn syrup in all the processed food... not sure where I heard it or even if it's true lol but yeah I'm Canadian and American food is always surprising to me, like even basic things like bread tastes sweeter, very strange...
Stay vigilant. Many wants to take advantage most especially on us women when we go any where alone , Sheesh you have so many videos lately, i can't keep up! :-) haha.. i know how to change my the oil in my car :-)
I have so many vids? I'm only make three a week lately. It used to be everyday. I may move to a faster schedule when I am able to. Good job on the oil change, that's huge!

I dont believe anyone "invented" capitalism. Maybe Adam Smith was the first one to explain its ground rules and how it works, but people who built stuff or harvested food and went to the town square to sell or trade them in post feudal times (thus creating markets and the accumulation of capital) were guided by pure human instinct, not an ideology invented by someone. Maybe new and more current phases of capitalism, like crony capitalism, monopolies or cartels were fabricated by parties with specific interests (or maybe they are simply normal consequences of capitalism which should be regulated), but capitalism by itself is just human nature.
Double glazing people are the worst in the UK. They try and hard sell you windows and doors you don't need for as much as possible. A lot of them target the old as well.... :(
No sir. Speaking for myself, I don't want to live so long that I become a pain in the but for myself, popping pills all the time, unable to keep up with technology and telling everyone around me how great things were back in the good old days.
THis is a decent discussion but very political in nature, which is fine. I like how he was careful not to blame capitalism as he realizes its the only thing that works. Its easy to point fingers at big corporations but profits and $ are what fuels the world and gets people out of bed every morning. The govt is terrible at everything, including regulating industries and even regulating itself. Choices kill people, not options. Most people dont want to be healthy, or at least not change their habits to do so.
lol The Healthcare System. I could tell you horror stories about the healthcare system. My pet peeve was Dr's [ especially Surgeons and Oncologist ] who would give a patient a cancer diagnosis and then try to bum rush them into surgery, chemo or radiation. These people are scared to death and they need at least 24 hours to absorb the news and to make a decision about the options available. I saw a 90 year old bum rushed into having a whipple, which is a very radical surgery with a poor survival rate. Of course she did poorly and was going downhill fast. The family was completely baffled because the Dr said she would do just fine. I saw red. A 90 year old in poor health was the worst candidate for something as radical as a whipple. Hospice care would have been better.
I have not worked a 9-5 for several years, started working for myself....Since then I have had time to research and learn about many subjects...I'm watching you go through the same metamorphosis I went through....You are an awesome person sharing this valuable knowledge..

Dentists are the worst. Even harder to find a trustworthy dentist than a mechanic
Glad we are on the same page. =D

Well thought-out insight and points. Thank you for putting this out there. 👍🏽
Very true. The book “Your Money or Your Life” argues the same thing and beyond.
That might be an interesting read. I'm on a path to reading every popular book it seems, lol.
I absolutely agree man. Welcome aboard.
One of the best money savers i did was have my own garage to work on my car, everything on my own
It's hard to find mechanics who are honest and won't rip you off. I say this as someone whose father was a mechanic, and I work in the automotive industry.
You are correct, some products and services will do just enough to get you over the hump. The foods will not kill you at that moment but somewhere down the line there may be problems.
My dentist remove my wisdom tooth for 10 dollars but I live in Asia.
I can actually elaborate on the Whole car service scam thing as well. I have probably over a dozen examples over the last decade of people I know or family members getting the massive shaft. I'll considering compiling a list and perhaps making a video.
Love your channel. Keep up the great work. :)
Thank you! Will do. =D
Great video man
=D
Thanks for this video. There's plenty of people that need this dose of reality.
Protects the consumer the earlier they realize. I feel like more concrete examples are needed just to show how widespread it is across EVERYTHING.
100% agree on the healthiness aspect of life expectancy!
I have nothing to add. This is 100% word for word my way of thinking and analysing capitalism. Props to you, I loved this video!
=D I would like to know more of these myself other than the ones I mentioned.
Very true! Except the wheelchair comment may offend some people.
I noticed that too. But hopefully and I believe people would know what he means based on the context.
Anyone who sells nostalgia
Lots of emotions that could be tapped into.
So true about many doctor's incentives are not really to get & keep us healthy. I personally have found the Blue Zones diet the best for my body, which is a version of the Mediterranean diet. I no longer eat commercially processed or packaged foods. And my health is so much better now!
What’s Up Bro!! Love your videos! 🎸🎶🔥🤘🏻
All we can do, is to do our best to minimize how much we get screwed. And about happiness, what is true happiness?
Yes, minimize it. But then some are more serious when life is involved rather than you just losing out on money alone.
What gives?
I've missed several installations, seems like a new character and the triplets are now 2.
Maybe it got eaten? The peas?
People are free to research before they choose to buy. Unless you are forced to buy, like in medical ins the customer is the boss. Competing in the marketplace is blind of moral dogma. No competing industry can afford to permit their product or service to adversely effect their customer.
Its not capitalism that's the problem, the sellers always try to maximise profit and satisfy market demand (but they stimulate it as well).
If the market demands different things, the market will provide different things so the way out of this is to educate ourselves and our friends.
It's creeping in to manipulate market forces. So what would you call it? It's sort of a blend.
The more time you live its better for companys since they can sell you meds and other things longer, they can milk you longer.
Thanks boss. It's very helpful
Great video :) didn’t think about all those things
I have had this suspicion about oil change for a long time now.
Do the sharpie trick next time. =D
Maybe put in the right way, it can benefit everyone. Use the greed.
thank you for elaborating deeper on this perspective of capitalistic structures, I was looking forwards it as I expressed in my comments for some previous videos. I hope there's lots more to come, please keep up this work, it's significant!!
I really don't know how significant. Maybe it can a help a few not get tricked as easily.
@BeatTheBush haha, so humble... it always starts with a few, you know
It's not up to companies to look after your best interest..that's your own job
Or I can make a video to talk about it.
@@BeatTheBush yes beat the bush, it is up to you to look after your subscribers best interests lol
Followed u on Instagram! Coffeemaker is a Beast
Unfortunately no one has your interest at heart unless it's to drive sales for profit. Most want you to pay more for something that's unnecessary
Thank you for keeping it real. People need to wake up
=D
Honesty is a virtue. But whoever has it will probably give it up when they realize being honest bring them less income.
Or it could make a poor person rich too although not as often.
Yes, we need the EPA and consumer advocate groups to keep profits-above-all-else in check.
B corporations
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B_Corporation_(certification)
it's a start.
First thing that comes to mind is the B Corp certification body itself uncorrupt? Can they change the rules so they themselves remain certified? Lol.
LOL, Anything is possible but there are ways to limit corruption.
Lab B is a not for profit which is a good start to avoid greed. You would have to look at the history of the board and decide for yourself if they are committed. Money does change hands so keep up the healthy scepticism.

Don't lose faith. Far more good people out there than bad but the bad are always the loudest.
❤❤❤. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

How's it going BeatTheBush! I wanted to ask a question - why did you remove the self lender video in regards to building credit?
I didn't. It's still there.
@@BeatTheBush thanks for the lightning fast response, but check this out watch?v=RNXutBGAnlM it's not working
It probably got shuffled around. The video is still there but might not be in the same link I think.
Thanks for the video, THUMB UP. Right direction.......

Super Facts💯
Economics of healthcare is very very complicated because of these conflict of interests.
Even the preventive treatments is tricky because most people don't actually do the safe activities, exercise, and eat healthy even if they are told it will kill them until its too late
Well said
In regard to the doctor part, I agree their hearts are in the wrong place BUT at the end of the day a person's health is their responsibility. People can't hold their doctor accountable if they choose to go out and eat everyday.
To a certain extent a person's health is their responsibility. But for things like birth defects and all that is uhh you know? When the, uhhhhhhh
Hello! Somewhat unrelated but - can you make a video discussing health insurance options after you have FIRE'd? THANKS!
It's related. I made a video here: ruclips.net/video/zztaG_VP5no/видео.html
Understand what you mean BTB here in the states capitalism is taken to the next level and sometimes a ripoff like the school system. However, believe in the concept of karma. Businesses that take advantage and do bad things to people will soon get what the deserve. What comes around goes back around?
It's sad to see it go on for so long and hurt so many people though.
I think you could start a podcast and talk about the topic. They are very interesting and fun to listen to. :) Cheers!
Thanks! I will think about this request.
Research and create a video about free-market healthcare services in the USA. High quality at low prices.
The only thing large companies care about is their shareholders. They will set their business up for failure in 5 years in order to meet a quarterly goal. Its a joke.
That's the way its setup. Agreed.
I always think whats in for them and then for me. However i did buy a crappy laptop once because i didnt do my research and didnt want any advice from them.., lucky for me i could change it for better one, so one can be at fault sometimes when one is buying a thing to quick.
Where's the third pea?
You have great idea of how things should be
I think it was only a sketch. Not even sure if it could work.
@@BeatTheBush first there needs to be an idea then you can analyze and adjust whatever needs to be adjusted. Most people cant even think of the idea
Speaking of how they market product to get consumers addicted, the sugar in your Coke or Pepsi is now at 40 grams.
Did they increase it recently? omg.
BTB I think you should revisit fashion as an aspect of lifestyle and go minimalist instead of not buying anything for yourself
Not sure what you are trying to say... I am not fashionable and I don't buy anything for myself?
BeatTheBush ;)
Do u work on ur car yourself?
Thats a cool idea making healthcare accountable on how long you live! Then maybe they'll be more motivated and honest...As for food I heard there was something like corn overproduction? couple decades back in America and to get rid of the supply they started putting too much corn syrup in all the processed food... not sure where I heard it or even if it's true lol but yeah I'm Canadian and American food is always surprising to me, like even basic things like bread tastes sweeter, very strange...
Hey btb, I’ve been trying to cut back from phone activities. Do you ever get anxiety from anything? If so how do you calm yourself?
Anxiety? I am not sure how to self diagnose on that. A ton of will power allows me to delete a game.
Dude, salt is actually healthy, it has an essential electrolyte (sodium). Just go with Celtic sea salt and cook at home to save money.
"Salt is healthy" it can cause hypertension. So for anything, even 'healthy' things, there is a range of concentration per day that is healthy.
BeatTheBush Yep, even water can be deadly in large amounts.
Thank you

Salesmen that sells things for 2-3x? I don't know how they can do it with a straight face.
Living a shorter, healthier and productive life is preferable to a lengthy, mundane and uneventful one.
How about longer healthier and productive life?
No sir. Speaking for myself, I don't want to live so long that I become a pain in the but for myself, popping pills all the time, unable to keep up with technology and telling everyone around me how great things were back in the good old days.
YOLO sir. YOLO.
i know this is true for the cancer industry too
THis is a decent discussion but very political in nature, which is fine.
