    It originated in the west coast of Malaya where the Hokkien speaking towns were located as well as Singapore during the colonial days.

    As much I enjoy your clips in Kwong Tong Wah, I believe some done in English is good idea cause, you can be a great Ambassador introducing Malaysian culture to the world. Your command of English is impressive. And your presentations are professional, fun, informative, logical and recommendations are good

    Elmo, U shud check out these BKT stalls in Klang and Pandamaran. Weng Heong for claypot BKT at Taman Rashna, Teck Siong also at Tmn Rahsna (related to under the bridge) Ah Her at Pandamaran (evening), BH BKT Jalan Young Pandamaran ( elated to Samy), Samy BKT same row as Rest 158 which u covered for Hong Bak.... U shud also check Swee Xiang Hong Bak at Jln Sg Keramat Kapat road

    Thank you for the history lesson of this Malaysian cuisine. Good info. It should be canonized in the culinary libraries around the world. We must step up to acknowledge it because our Malaysian ministry never steps up to defend any cuisine except nasi legal in the international realm. That's how we lost Chicken rice and other famous Malaysian hawker delights to Singapore in the UNESCO listings and almost lost yeesang to Singapore also. (But it was too well documented and found o be from Seremban)

    Hi Elmo. I hope u can do the top 8 Prawn noodles in PJ. My recommendation is Johnny's prawn noodles in Yau Yat Khan Subang 2. D best and even better if u add d pork ribs even though its a bit further frm PJ. Worth a try

    ah foong is one of my favourites despite there being quite a few decent places in SS14 Subang Jaya.

      You r right lee, ah foong is one of the promising ones, ss14 in my opinion there's only Ah ping and Chuan Chew

    Please try "Teow Chew Peng--潮州平" at Kg.Baru Subang(not during the lunch hour please)..Last time this shop was operating opposite the Batu 3 petron petrol station and is a family team...IF you go there and taste disappointed,you may claim your bill with me😃

    I ate Ah Sang BKT many times...and everytime my throat is screaming for water for the next 2 hours due to the high amount of MSG they put into the soup.

      put a lot lesser msg, the taste will be even better and healthier

    I remember my dad rather call singapore white bakuteh as pepper soup lol compare to local klang dark version bakuteh.(joke)

    The bak kut teh is believed to have originated from China Fujian province, so it doesn't matter was it 1st introduced by the Singaporean or Malaysian.
    I like the dark bak kut teh, with added fine cut ginger, and also the dry version. They're yummy 😋😋😋😋😋
