We left the umc because the upper administration refused to enforce the book of disciplines. They sidestepped the rules because they didn't like them.

Many congregations will leave and it's going to be reality.

Christian church leaders should know that God's laws exist to protect and promote His most precious creation-humanity. And they should also know that any orientation other than heterosexual doesn't.

Within biblical Methodist churches, as well as other biblical denominations, 0:13 all people are welcome, of course, but sin has to be recognized as sin. We all are sinners, but through the grace of God, and through recognizing our sin and asking for forgiveness, we are forgiven and thus intend to lead a life free of sin. We are unable to do this, of course, because of our human nature, but through prayer and God's unfailing and infinite grace, we are able to remain children of God. Biblically, there is no scriptural basis for living in a homosexuality lifestyle except it being sin. Biblically, it is very clear that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman.

I would love to ask this young lady preacher if she is as accepting of rapists, murderers, adulterers, etc? Is homosexuality a sin in her view? I would tell her that affirming someone's sin is not love, it's cruel and will land them in hell. Truth is one of the greatest ways to show the love of God. Narrow is the way but wide is the path to destruction.

Unfortunately UMC is an example of when you begin to bend the rules of the Bible... given some time, there's NO rules left to bend.
