It is incredibly disingenuous to critique a movie that hasn't even began shooting. What a stupid segment. If anyone deserves a biopic, it's definitely Dylan.
Amen. I stopped listening to this nonsense after about 25 seconds.
Whats special about Bob Dylan? i genuinely dont know anything about him
I couldn't disagree with this guy more. I'm excited to see this movie no matter what the critics say about it.
He nails it, by the way
This video is just click bait stupidity by someone who has no idea what they're talking bout nor has any real info about this production. Having been working on this project, I can honestly say this film is going to be one of the most accurate, fascinating and fun biopic ever made.
Just saw the bob dylan movie. It ran circles around walk the line and elvis
This narrator asks: “Don’t ‘we’ already have enough biopics?” Who is this ‘we’ you refer to? You and me? I don’t think so.
You really don’t know anything
This one hubristically predicts where the meteor will fall before it hits Earth. Nonsense.
Bob Dylan is an executive producer of this film. He's obviously endorsed it. "Sylvie Russo" is a composite character made of a few of Dylan's early girlfriends. YA clickbait title.
Just like the one Dylan himself starred in that bad Joe Esterhaus script. Boring.
I like to see a known actor transform into a believable representation of the start in question. I also like to get a feel of the time and happenings that surrounded the sonds when they were created.
As a Dylan fan, I will be there to see it.
What's a terrible idea is this publication. It's not even known whether this film will be made and you're already criticising it. Let Chalamet live and work. He's a very good and talented actor. Thanks to him we still have some good content to watch. Stop attacking the poor guy. I do hope that this film will be made. Let's not forget about Benedict Cumberbatch, Elle Fanning or Monica Barbaro who are also to be in this movie and who are also really good.
I say this as a Bob Dylan fanboi. It's not like you need to be a great singer to sing Dylan's songs. If you think so you haven't heard Dylan sing. 🤣
What a load of nonsense. This is going to be a fantastic film about Dylan played by a brilliant actor. This guy is clueless !! I am looking forward to this biopic and by the looks of the trailer it is going to be fantastic and a massive success!!!
I completely disagree with this assessment.
Wouldn't it be best to hold your opinion of the movie until it's actually released?
So silly,
Edward Norton plays Pete Seger,
If Tim shouldn't sing, are they suppose to mime live folk/rock performances?
Kris kristosen said of Dylan,
the guys got so many sides to him he's round.
With such art and beauty to his work why not expose people to it.
Some of what he condems
isnt in the film.
(5 years preperation, by Chalamet)and song for Woody is spell binding.
Have seen it twice so far.
Dylan is an executive producer.
He had a script read through with just James Mangold and altered / some script dialogue.
There is poeic licence to any production.
All involved care to deliver the best performances, and elevate their college's.
I love that it doesn’t try and span a whole career.
Doesnt over explain. (Dylan never does.)
The songs take center stage,
the drama fits them.
For me, Its a real comfort watch.
Nothing is resolved neatly it is a recreation of a period of change. A five or six year period.
I will not tire of Dylans songs,
Or the spirit of celebration of them.
Thats what Dylan has always stressed we focus on,
our interpretation.
Good art will live forever.
(excuse all my spelling
errors.)
The film is completely unknown to the reviewer.
Watch and decide, dont deride.
Lx.
We come from a generation when music mattered and was REAL.
The Prescreening reviews have been all positive with Oscar predictions including best picture and best actor awards.
I haven't heard such a masterpiece of BS logic since... well, ever. The entire video was negative, except for the part where you praised the last biopic on Dylan, which I thought was great, as well. Cate Blanchett blew me away in it. I'm actually incredibly excited to see this movie. Here's hoping you'll end up liking it too.
Clearly dying are opinion pieces by nobodys about somebodys. And no cumberbatch!
Says you Mr. Ultra Flix man.
A-holes and opinions, we've all got them but we can choose to Not be one of them!
I've never read any of the bios out there on Dylan, and I understand there are many but from what few clips I've seen of A Complete Unknown, I'm really looking forward to seeing this film.
So, as @rcnotes so eloquently typed, Clickbait, Clickbait, Clickbait! 😝
Well they're both arrogant and Timmy's half Jewish but I don't see how this is gonna work. Bob?
Oh, he's half-Jewish?
this is just your own opinion right?my opinion likes it.
I saw the movie twice and really enjoyed it. From the comments I read on other sites I'm not the only one. Thank you very much!
This isn’t aging well at all.
I am look forward to this ❤
I think the young Timothee is getting a little ahead of himself. He's not ready to play Bob. I don't think anyone should try to play Bob. He's can't be duplicated in any way. I've seen him live a few times, Bob I mean, and he's well, Bob. Tim is Tim. But he's not Bob. Ya know?
Bob was not Bob either.
The movie depicts Bob Dylan at 19.
Young Timothee did a great job portraying Dylan.
Dylan and Chalamet are Azkenasi jews both.
BS. Tim is half Jewish via his mother. His dad is Protestant.
Yes and what's your point?
IT'S HORSESHIT
This is dylan. Cmon.
Some weird statements ...
Can’t wait for it! You must be a wannabe! Just enjoy it!!
We ll see
Is a new film needed? Spoken by a chinese bot
Why oh why?! The casting of these recent bio-pics, apart from BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, has been a disaster. Apparently Chalamet is so ingrained as the "go-to guy" for everything he'll be playing all four Beatles in an upcoming movie...
Troll hahaha...more
OMFG!!! NOOOOOOO! My favorite singer of all time played by my least favorite actor of all time. Dylan has always been bursting at the seams with talent and charisma, and Chalamet is anti-charismatic at its worst. There's at least 10,000 actors in Hollywood who could do a much better job, and they pick a total hack just because he is an up-and-coming star?" That ill-advised practice has sunk the entire Marvel Universe of movies. Who will they get to play Woody Guthrie, Johnny Depp? One of the guys from "Game of Thrones" or "Stranger Things"? Chalamet also totally ruined my favorite Movie character of all time, Willy Wonka, in the terrible movie I will never watch after seeing the god-awful trailers for it. And Dune??? What a flop that has been, led by that hack. I predict he will be caught up in a terrible sex scandal and ejected from Hollywood like so many other perves.
sadly i think you are right. Playing Bob Dylan isn't right for Timothee. He may look a little like him and he is talented but not in the same way. they are very different people and it will come across on screen. Tim is a bit spoiled, nepo baby. Bob, not that at all. Bad idea. Love Bob. Love Timothee. But not this project.
You pour all your shit in your comment...what a sad guy .yaiiiik!!!!!
I do believe Timothee Chalamet is a wonderful actor but I think Dune 1&2 failed for me due to the director’s clunky, cheesy screen play.
I actually enjoyed Wonka which had a sterling cast of British actors and a wonderful director.
As for a sex scandal or lurid tape, TC’s involvement with one of the mind-numbingly vapid Kardashians seems to verify your prediction.
I love Timothee Chalamat and Austin Butler but I lived through thr Bob Dylan era and he was just plain boring, how can you make an interesting movie on his life?
Agree. This concept and cast has failure written all over it.
