Timmy one of those actors you think will be a snobby lil prick but is actually cool af and quite humble. Good on him. I have been friiggin jones'n to see this movie and must have watched the trailer 1000 times
Dont fall for the image he is trying to portray, I work in the film industry and there was one time he had a sign on him saying 'nobody talk to me' hes just like any prick celeb tbh and he is defo not humble
I saw the movie and Tim did an amazing job. I am in my 50’s and absolutely love Dylan and have been listening to him since I was a teen. The movie is a must see for any Dylan or music fan. Well done Tim. So many other great performances as well!
This is the first time I have ever seen Chalamet outside of a movie and he just seems like one of my little grad hires 😂 just a little sweet boy, but so impressive on screen, I am happy for him.
@@GwaiZaipersonally think he’s outstanding as both. His Dylan-from what I’ve watched-kicks serious ass. Right up there with Val Kilmer playing Jim Morrison and even above the Johnny cash biop imo
@ I will approach the film with zero judgment. He’s the rare actor I root for. But to reach the level of Riz Ahmed or Joaquin Phoenix… he has a ways to go for me.
Gen X, here. My dad saw Dylan nearly 100 x. His favorite artist-from Greenwich Village, early days, to the end. ❤ this is the first movie trailer to give me chills
I agree that he is great in the movie. Respectfully, his speaking style is nothing like Bob Dylan’s. However, I don’t believe that constitutes whether or not it’s a great performance, Joaquin Phoenix sounded nothing like Johnny Cash’s speaking style.
To be fair to Dylan, many of the journalists in those days were rude &/or idiotic in their line of questioning, so I feel like he just put his guard up & left it there permanently.
I saw it Christmas 🎄 day & I’ve went back to see it again!! Wow 🤩 Timmy C- played BD character to a “T”- impressive! Def a brilliant young actor ! 🤩 Bravo 👏 It’s a must see 🎥 movie !! 👍
this style of content will die one day too. itll just die for different reasons and because its weaknesses become apparent in the face of some new style. i agree with you 100% though. just trying to look at it from the point of view of someone who doesnt like it.
I’m Gen Z and I love Bob Dylan. My dad listens to him a lot. When I was about 14 my dad played Blowin in the Wind and Like a Rolling Stone while we were in the car, and right then and there I fell in love with Bob Dylan.
Timothee was so fantastic in Bones And All. One of my favorite movies, it seems so underrated and misunderstood. Ill be seeing Nosferatu on Christmas day because I'm a massive fan of Robert Eggers but this Bob Dylan flick is definitely one on my list.
As a lifelong Dylan fanboy- once you start searching and looking into the world of Bob Dylan, it’s an abyss with barley any answers. Not regarding but insanely interesting
''A Complete Unknown'' is getting good reviews. I really like Bob Dylan a real poet. The thing with Timothee Chalemet is every movie I have seen him in, he never seems to have the ability to shed his own skin, I always see Timothee Chalemet regardless of the character he's playing. I don't get that feeling when watching DeNiro, or Pacino and some others... I hope Chlalamet managed to shed his skin with this Dylan movie.
I think if you really turned into Bob Dylan you would do techno dance music just like he turned electric. Then everyone would go see the movie and say it’s not Bob Dylan. And you would be like yeah it is Bob Dylan because that’s what Bob Dylan would do. It’s most Bob Dylan any Bob Dylan has ever been. I became more Bob Dylan than Bob Dylan
Who wasn’t? I watched her sing back up on “The Weight” during The Last Waltz and fell in love with her. Everybody needs to see that performance. She is a gem.
Timothee was so amazing! I wish these guys would slow their speech though. People speak so fast now. It is an example of how fast paced our culture has become. Talking that fast to listen to and do it is really bad for your nervous system. Ugh grind culture! I bet Bob could write a great song about that! Anyway, awesome job Timothee- I loved the movie!
12:45 I've been saying for years that everyone who ever covered a Dylan song played it better than him. It's half a joke, and half pointing out that his real strength is writing, not performing.
The hoody design is GENIUS it's designed as something TC would wear as his and younger generations style would wear . It's emo vibes (is it still emo) with the emotionally enigmatic title of the movie fashionably laid out on the front in quadruple spacing ha.. BD likes his hoodies too it would be ultimate meta art meets life he wears that hoody that's about a movie all about him
This interview made me like Timothy. Was not a fan, not for any particular reason. Maybe because I wasn't a fan of Dune. But I'll go see A Complete Unknown.
Uh,good job making that up. They havent seen each other for very long time but there are many over the years and recent interviews of them praising each other. She said she has totally forgiven him.
@Jaa21398 I swear to everything I hold sacred. It was at the Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia around 08. I remember she was wearing an Obama cap. We roomed her in the Presidential suite. She had some kind of manager or assistant with her who was a guy. He had facial hair and was much younger than her. I would never make something like that up. In the years I was a bellman, I met so many celebrities. I wasn’t looking for your approval. She didn’t call him an asshole but I remember her reaction. It wasn’t kind. I asked her if she still kept in touch with him. I was probably 25.
This movie confirmed he is my new favorite actor. Dude is legit. I look forward to anything he is in. Excellent actor.
but he's high all the time and acting autistic.
Totally my reaction as well. Had no expectations and I was totally blown away. LOVED the film and his performance
Me too!
Same, he won me over
Mine too
This guy seems surprisingly refreshing for a 'celeb'.
Theo is refreshing that Timothee guy is a dick
Loved the movie!
Fr
Timothee will hopefully win the oscar for that performance. Terrific work, terrific job!
if he doesn’t there’s something extremely messed up
Joan Baez actress deserves one also

Timothy is straight up fanboying! Love this!!
Young, dumb and full of... Celsius
Totally, right!!!?! The entire video! So adorable and Theo seemed so uncomfortable with the praise
First mumble rapper, whining with a back beat, love Theo von........totally gets me every time.
Fascinating: Timothee explaining how Susie Rotolla and Dylan’s was the only relationship he viewed as not transactional.
❤

I think his authenticity is perfectly suited to our times. I like him as a person more than as an actor, but that makes me root for him.

What an impressive, articulate young actor! He gives me hope for Hollywood
Just saw the movie, outstanding. Oscar worthy.

Damn, I had to check my playback speed to make sure it wasn’t bumped up. They’re both talking so fast. Lol
i’m suprised theo could keep up. and that’s not a diss just funny to watch him speak at north east speed he’s usually at a much more southern pace
@TheGuardian_TM me too !! 🤣🤣
poor guys were both nervous 😭
Happy Birthday Timothee! Saw the movie today. It was awesome.
To be fair to Dylan, many of the journalists in those days were rude &/or idiotic in their line of questioning, so I feel like he just put his guard up & left it there permanently.

What a crew.
“Hehhh” “That was a good Bob Dylan” 😂
I've never seen anything this kid has been except for A Complete Unknown. Extremely impressive.
Watch anything and everything he is in. one of the most believable actors around.
"Whining with a backbeat "😂
Chalamet, you did good!!
Timmy seems so grown up here
He’s 28 now
Yeah you guys must go way back🤣😂
7:07 Theo quick with them lmfao
Genius joke just thrown in.
I don't get it. 🤔
This format is so much better than TV, old media is such a farce.

It’s not much different
What? That's like comparing movies to pet training
This dude killed the role. I’m a fan now. Have yet to watch Dune
Watch it Dune 2 is more action Dune 1 is laying the ground
He NEEDS that Oscar
haven't seen the movie yet, but when I see Val Kilmer, I still see Jim Morrison. I sure this kid done great, seems to be a grounded and chill af dude
He was outstanding as Bob Dylan!
I’m Gen Z and I love Bob Dylan. My dad listens to him a lot. When I was about 14 my dad played Blowin in the Wind and Like a Rolling Stone while we were in the car, and right then and there I fell in love with Bob Dylan.
Theo is the coolest guy on earth.
I think if they made a movie about Chris Cornell Tim would b the best to play his part
Lol don't look alike at all
Chalamet is ADHD personified and that makes him relatable af 😂
Do u know how they harvest baby oil?
That, and took wayyyyy too much adhd medication
Took too much medication?what a goofy thing to say.its not polite to infer things of that nature.rude even.

wow, that's interesting...
Rogan
When Timothy was talking about Dylan and Theo still thought he was talking about Kodak LOL

Ryan adams reminds me of Bob Dylan. He is another great songwriter from the early 2000s
bob dylan might be a little after theos dads time

Can't wait to see this film. We're not getting it in the UK until the middle of January 😫.
same here in New Zealand, have to wait patiently
I seen it this weekend and it was really good.
Crazy how kids don't understand. Even me growing up the 80s '90s new Bob Dylan was a big deal
Thanks for this great interview. I can't help but notice it seems like these two have consumed four red bulls each before they taped this...

Bob Dylan was a hobo as a young man and one of the greatest song writers of all time. He wrote thousands of songs. Many covered today.
Lol he was never a hobo he created a whole mythology for the gullible media lol
Bob Dylan was in love with Mavis Staples. He asked her to marry him.

Dylan is a master of the arts
It took 4 or 5 years to make and was about 4 to 5 years of Dylan's life. I wonder if that helped in the making of it? The movement of time!
Bobby Dylan was the first mumble rapper. 😂
Dylan is so good, that you already know that this movie won't do him justice
