    Think you mean yuan...

      When we learned Chinese while living in China, we were told that kuai is the more casual term for yuan when speaking. This is why we use it instead of yuan.

      kuai is more like dollar. 1 dollar, 2 dollar something like that

      ​@JamesandKeli my teacher said it's Yuan or RMB (Renminbi) I never heard anyone say kuai (not that it doesn't exist) but maybe do some more research on it because it's mostly known as Yuan or RMB
