Great advice about taking small wins instead of trying to fix everything all at once. A saying that has stuck with me over the years is "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." Work on things one step at a time, one day at a time, and soon you'll find that all the small wins add up to a pretty big win. Keep your heads up everyone!
Don't know if someone else already said this. But he's mega Gargant, actually has a rule where he stuffs people in a bag. So it was "lore" but it's a actually rule, that kills units.
Just got into AoS (my first warhammer game) been soaking in so much info and stumbled across your channel luckily! What a gem, really enjoy your content, perspective, and insight into not only warhammer as a hobby but GW as a company from the inside.
dude stop watching ,, im am going to stop as well trust me this channel will kill ur passion for the hobby its not for the brighteyed starters like us and when u watch a few of these videos you will come to the conclusion that this is toxic to expensive filled with sex pests and staff that hate the customers ,, i know we like the grim dark but i prefer it to be fantasy not in my actual life.

Much of what I’ve cherished and loved growing up has been destroyed from corporate greed or some weird DEI implementation.
Personally I have some nice local hobby shops nearby and will probably go to a GW just to check it out. I totally understand your point but you can’t let these things, the stories ect ruin your perspective or change what you enjoy because of others. For lack of a better example seperate the art from the artist.
You’re absolutely right about the community and how expensive the hobby is, but I’m good with getting my lore novels, miniatures, paint, and everything else then enjoying it at home. Gaming will come hopefully.

Really playing the game is a win. Winning the game is the cherry on top. I have been back in the hobby for about 4 months after 20 year brake and i have only been able to play two games with one of my friends and have no idea how many more games I will get this year.
Maybe what we need to do is start a misinformation campaign where we ooenly talk about gaming in GW stores that, in reality, have gaming completely banned. Could be kinda funny tbh

@@tomcustis9272 i get what you mean. But i've a feeling the rest are more likely to keep their fireworks for their own teams wins rather than Liverpools losses or draws. I remember a few seasons back seeing Evertonians hoping they'd lose to Man City just so City would get to 1st place over Liverpool. That's true dedication to a bitter cause
we meet every year for a couple days of games. The 4 days start for me with absolute bad luck. Anything that was randomized, like throwing dice or drawing a card, it was pretty much the worst outcome. Was playing Warhammer the old world, and no maqtter what i tried i was throwing mostly 1s and 2s. At (i think) the fivth round had killed less then 10 dwarves and my oponent had killed my whole army.
I've wanted to get into Horus Heresy for awhile but the cost is too high for me and I'm a decent painter but definitely not good enough for the HH crowd.

If I wanted to play a game set in the world of the Vermintide video game, what would that be? Is that "Age of Sigmar"? (I've played historical - ancient and medieval - wargames before, but no warhammer).
Warhammer fantasy or old world would be closer, but that's a mass battle system. Mordheim is smaller with a handful of models on each side but finding anyone to play will be tough. Age of Sigmar might be easiest to find players and you do still have most of the stuff at smaller model counts.
There was an MMORPG named age of Reckoning that’s based in the AoS world before AoS was really a thing. It ended live service in 2013 but has been picked up from a group of dedicated developers that run a wonderful private server named return of reckoning.
I highly suggest it!
That's Warhammer Fantasy or The Old World as GW call it now. It used to be one of three main games: 40k, fantasy and lord of the rings. Then GW nuked it because they wanted to make it more like 40k which was more successful than warhammer fantasy.
To add what turtleman said, try Mordheim, there's a PC game in case you can't find models/players
So to me as a gamer if I can't play in store that tells me the people I am supposed be buying models from more then likely can not answer any question I may have. So why bother supporting a game the creators are apparently trying to kill?

I wouldn't say he can write that well when using "was" instead of "were" when multiples were concerned, but that's probably a Yank thing.
