They could combine the best parts of Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring into what would be my favorite game ever
Perfume Bottles have another AoW. It's located south of Shadow Keep near some perfumers. A scarab is flying above. It's really good imo cause if you aim it at the ground it shreds hp.

damnit, the backhand blade is so cool. I love that i-frames on the attack and I literally just respecced. It has such a cool sprinting light too. Maybe I can use it on my arcane mohg spear + shield build lmao
backhand blade is dope, i was able to solo rellana with it, couldn't imagine doing it with other weapons, the blind spot ash of war allows me to dodge when i cannot normally use dodge, paired with the spear talisman, it deals a lot of damage to punish enemies
I didn't feel comfortable using beast claws until I realized it had another move, where holding run then pressing strong attack without pressing a direction in power stance does the Bloodhound Fang's flip for free, and you can even do the follow up dash by attacking afterward. This was a game changer for me.
I wish the great katanas were just a little bit faster. They seem quite underpowered especially compared to regular katanas and the new backhand blades which I think are busted btw. With proper builds I was only getting about 100 or so more damage per r1 when compared to regular katanas. Also comparing them to curved greatswords which is the closest comparison you can make they’re still pretty mid. As for the back hand blades with blind spot, those things carried me through the entire dlc. And blind spot needs a hefty nerf but just in PvP. If you’re a strength build going up against blind spot you’re just not winning I’m sorry
i’m glad the thrusting shields are a decent weapon choice and gets a lot of aow. I really wanna use them but it felt like it’s one of those weapons that will be pretty bad, but glad i was wrong. supposedly there’s only 2 in the game and I hope that isn’t true
Well darn, looks like Fromsoft are cheerfully continuing their trend of making ranged weapon classes so completely useless that you might as well not bother. Honestly, the projectile dodging thing is way overtuned imo. I don't mind some enemies having it, but I don't think hulking brutes like the Omens should have the reflexes. For ranged attacks in this game to be good, they either need to have an AoE or homing or they need to trigger with a delay so that the opponent has already finished the dodge before the projectile comes out, since the AI reacts to the casting/throwing/shooting animation rather than the actual projectile.
For me the most broken weapon so far is the curse blades cirque the ash of war is so broken and you can just spam r1 and torque like 3k damage outta the ash and r1s
you did not mention that you can powe stance perfume bottles, you can ''mix'' the elements, it will ofc use the two handed moveset but you know, different flavor

I felt insane for having missed the beast claws knowing I ran around that forest for a it, but then I spent like 10 mins looking for the character you were talking about. Red Bear Claws ended up being the only beast claws I found and I just beat the last boss of the DLC. Man, I am so good at missing things. Fun thing I noticed about these claws while fighting a Death Knight, charging the heavy attack is lower than the crouch, so you can legitimately fully charge heavy attacks while enemies completely whiff you. It's insane. Of course I learn that at the end. Still, without knowing that, they're so easy to R1 spam enemies down. I beat the Remembrance boss of the "spooky forest" with it. I easily took off 10k hp just spamming at the start with the all of the multi-hit stuff on. It's by far my favorite weapon in the DLC.
All of the throwing attacks are pretty mid sadly. I haven’t tried the axe but the hammer heavy throw is okay but still not very good. I was initially really excited when I learned messmers spear could be thrown but you have to charge that attack or else it’ll do 200 damage just slightly outside of its already pretty short damage range. Even then the charged r2 still barely does more damage than an r1 which is absurd because it uses around 90 stamina for one charged r2. It is very fun and actually useful to use the throwing attacks while on horseback tho at least with messmers spear
The Throwing dagger are actually OP on torrent. You can just run in circles around bosses in the openworld and kill them, without the danger of getting hit. But don't try this on runebears xD
The hand to hand arts are so much stronger than I expected them to be and so damn fun to use. Also palm blast is absolutely busted. You can straight cheese any npc type boss fights with it provided you can tank one or two attacks.

Man, I have fallen in love with the smithscript dagger. It has an amazing guard counter and it's running and jumping heavy attacks feel so sexy. Something crazy is that the running and jumping r2 lead right into the r1 combo. You cal also stack jumping damage boost items with it to do jumping throws with significant extra damage. decent both dual wield and with a shield but I feel that the shield is a little better for the sexy-ass guard counter. Since you usually will lead with an r2, the one handed moveset is perfectly fine. Works great up close and I enjoyed it with endure but I just love endure with lighter weapons. As far as damage I run them with cold for max on paper damage and cold procs. =) PS: Going for ritual sword talisman and rotten wing or millicent insignia and just dual wielding are all also very strong. Just lean very hard into that jumping r2. =)
Perfume bottle and smithscript dagger actually have a special heavy dodge attack. Charge a heavy and press dodge, you do a backstep dodge and throw your heavy attack early. Haven’t checked properly how it affects damage. And yeah, the smith daggers are just terrible on literally every level. They don’t need a buff, they need a hot fix because something is just wrong with them. Aiming, damage, range. You’re much better off just using a whip to be honest, pretty sure you get better range. Only good thing I’ve seen so far is that they get headshots way more often than you’d think against certain enemies
The B for int on a magic Milady feels like a very low B, I pumped up my dex to use it on my 80 int DMGS build and it doesn't do great. It could be the motion values for some of the moves are just bad, because it has 907 AR in the menu w/ scadu blessings.
Just wanna add that the beast claw can dodge cancel heavy attack for the backflip attack. Pretty cool combo is to open with the running heavy > canceled heavy backflip > charged heavy. Also does pretty decent poise damage against regular enemies. Some other weapons like great katana and backward blade? also have canceled heavy attack moves.
After trying both Milady and Back-hand sword, I really prefer BHS more. The speed is really fast so you will be able to melt through enemies before they hit you. Good for not-high stamina build.
